"A clean room with kitchenette and cot option suited our needs - amazing harbour views and staff were lovely and helpful. It’s is a short walk to the harbour but there is only 2 restaurants/cafes there and nothing else to do. The walk is a bit risky with kids or a high but manageable until the footpath starts. We walked up St Paul’s rock which was spectacular otherwise it’s a 10-15 min drive to Kaeo for a kids park and cafes etc or 25 to maungonui. The lodge is an excellent place for birdwatching and bbq-ing "
