Best hotels & accommodations in Windhoek

I was doing a tour of Southern Africa (highly recommended, by the way) and I had a day in Windhoek before I got my tour to the Namib desert started. It was a great choice. Great staff and nice amenities. The room was awesome. I just wish I would have brought my golf clubs.

This hotel is probably one of the highest quality hotels in Windhoek but it is pretty typical of a mid-high end hotel from a chain like Hilton. The hotel is very new so everything seems fresh - the room was well designed and slightly small but comfortable. We only used the hotel as a resting place on the way to and from the airport so didn't have much use of the faci...

Hotel is located in Kleine Kuppe. Will need transport to go to town area for meeting. Take about 15 minutes to reach the CBD area in Independence Avenue. Surrounding hotel have Lady Pohamba hospital and shopping mall such as Grove Mall. Hotel staff is friendly and hotel breakfast is not bad.

Forget the brand hotels, this place offers spacious clean modern apartments right in the heart of Livingstone. The staff is friendly and helpful, easy walking distance to mall/markets/restaurants, we couldn't ask for anything more. There is a full kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/utensils so good for longer stay as well as a one night hop.

We have used the Safari Court and Safari Hotel complex for many years now. It is outside the bustle of Windhoek city and yet has a very efficient free shuttle to the city and the Grove Mall. Also it is close to Asco who we feel are the best providers of 4x4 vehicles in Southern Africa.

Our family stayed over for 1 night at Paragon Cresent Suites. On arrival between 4h30pm - 4h45pm there was no one to welcome us at the reception / administration office to ensure a smooth check-in. I had to ask for assistance for another company on the same premises to please assist us, the lady then informed me that Paragon Cresent Suites' office are closed for th...

On our recent trip to Namibia we stayed for two nights an Pension Steiner, both at the beginning and at the end of our stay. It is a quiet, pleasant small hotel tucked away at the end of a quiet street in the central city. It is easy to walk to other central attractions and one of the main shopping malls is literally opposite the hotel. The staff were very helpful, bot...

I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming reception and very efficient staff who booked me in for my overnight stay, pre and again post my 6 day tour of Namibia. The room I slept in on my first visit was neat and welcoming. There was a slight leak from the shower which wet the bathroom floor and staff were most appreciative when informed about this. I was given a gro...

Very flexible ! (Unlike the car-rental company Aloe.) Our flight was delayed for over 48 hours and we were afraid we lost our booking. We were very happy that they were willing to alter the dates to the end of our journey instead of the beginning. Than we were back in Windhoek 1 day early and again no problem. We enjoyed the quiet place and friendly hosting! Don't do...

A one night stay after arriving late into Windhoek. After a little confusion about my booking the manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the B&B had suffered a lighting strike that knocked out WiFi but otherwise the room was comfortable and very clean. For a longer stay there is a very nice garden area and pool. Breakfast was very good with a go...

We stayed at Maison Ambre guest house for one night at the beginning of a two week driving tour of Namibia. Maison Ambre is conveniently located within safe walking distance of the center of Windhoek. On arrival we were met by the owners and shown to our wonderful suite. The compound is very secure and the villa/guest house is very comfortable. We had just come fro...

The stay was great and the front desk very help full But I would never recommend their restaurant as the staff did not pay attention to guest request and very tardy to execute your request and was more interested in the business meetng than the individual guests. We ordered medium steaks and got it rare and to fix - it took them almost 30 minutes and 3 request by u...

We chose the lodge because of it's close location to Windhoek International Airport. Manager was very friendly and assisted us with getting to an early morning flight. Room was clean but shower was either hot or cold - an intermediate mix could not be achieved. Evening meal was included but it was not to our taste (to be generous)

Very average accommodation. Stove didnt work and had no braai in the unit we had so it was hard to cook, chipped crockery and insufficient utensils supplied. Don't expect any help with carrying your luggage on arrival/departure, also note that there are no elevators available. Situated against a busy road so noisy. No key supplied to balcony. Linen and towels clean.

This guesthouse is actually a small compound with everything you need contained within. I have to say the place is very clean, organized, the rooms are nice, and the staff know their jobs and how to do it. Everyone from management to breakfast chef to housekeeping to security do a great job. I'm now in my third stay at Rivendell, I've had three different rooms, and all...

Our normal accommodation was fully booked so we booked in at the Monte Bello based on the overall rating and Reviews. We found the room very comfortable and well equipped and the pool area quite a lovely place just to sit and relax or enjoy your breakfast outside. Staff is very friendly and capable and in the end it felt as if we were staying at a friend's house. Can r...
