I stayed at Cypria for two days and I had an excellent experience. The location - and the price for such location - is unbeatable - right at the heart of Athens and two minutes away from the metro station. Walk out of the hotel and you already have numerous choices of restaurants. The central location doesn't mean the rooms are noisy though - my room was quiet and comfortable all along, although one might say it's a little on the small side. Service was quick and the staff was very friendly. I especially appreciate that WiFi was quick and stable there, unlike a number of other hotels in stayed in elsewhere in Greece. I don't think I enjoyed the breakfast as much as I did my room, but then it could be just a matter of taste. All in all an enjoyable stay.

We had a suite for a steal during fire sales. This hotel was one of the best hotel we stayed during our travel. The main bedroom was comfortable with nice bed and big balcony. One thing that puzzled me was the placement of the fridge cabinet, which was also the table for the LCD TV. It was placed behind the door to the bedroom in such a way that the door cannot open fully. The room was big and they could easy place the cabinet on the opposite side of the room. The 2nd bedroom has a balcony as well but was not so good as the main bedroom. The bed was a foldable bed that was not so comfortable and there was no mirror or dustbin. All there is in this 2nd bedroom was a foldable double bed, a single bed, a table and a chair. Nothing else. The bathroom was big and clean but no floor mat. We asked for one which was given but it was taken away the next day during housekeeping. The hotel provides free transport to the town area every 2hours which saves us a lot of transportation cost. Free pick up to and from the port as well. The staffs were all very friendly, especially those at the restaurant when we were having our breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this hotel.

Initially booked Athenaeum Grand but was redirected to Athenaeum Palace, which was equally fantastic hotel located just about 150m adjacent. Location is very convenient with bus stop just outside the hotel, 24hrs convenient store and metro is just 3 stops away. The room was awesome!! New amenities and also comes with a handy which is VERY useful for tourist not having data on your mobile. Breakfast was a simple spread but was more than enough to keep us satisfied; you couldn't ask for more. And the most importantly and the best part of the stay is the STAFF!! Oh yes, they have the friendliest staff of whole Greece :) From their guest relation staff to front office staff and their porter, is the most friendliest and most helpful bunch of people you could ever ask for!! We would give every single star to all of them and the service they provided. Most recommended to stay.

So far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Their service was exceptionally GOOD. I lost my passport on the first day I arrived Athens, the hotel receptionist helped me out to contact the embassy and assisted me to the nearest police station. Fortunately, three days later, someone from the Ministry of Culture in Athens has found my passport, however I couldn’t collect from the person by myself as I was in Santorini and so I asked if the receptionist named Ellia (lady who works for the evening shift) could collect on behalf of me. The next day she collected for me before going to work and that is why I need to give her a big shoutout. The hotel manager knew that I’ve lost my money and everything and so he gave me a 50% discount and have upgraded me to a suite room facing the acropolis. Location is great, just a 20mins walk to acropolis. Breakfast choices are limited however it’s delicious. Room is clean and the bathroom is super big. Overall, 100% recommended to stay here!

This is the second time we are in Santorini. We stayed at the honeymoon suite which has an amazing view over Thira. The hotel and suite is located at the top of the cliff so it simply has the best over Thira I guarantee. The altitude is also the highest among every other hotel in Thira. There may be other hotels with fancier pool, but this hotel is just the best because of the location. The hotel has 3 honeymoon suites and each of them comes with a nice balcony and private Jaccuzi. We spent a day just in the hotel and was the most amazing moments of our trip in Greece. You should also try the Yellow Sea Restaurant which is one star Michelin accredited. Cocktails were nice. Everything in the room is clean. Just come stay and you will know what I mean (stay in Honeymoon suite, though it is not for family as it’s name implies)

I stayed in 3 hotels during my stay in Santorini. And Tholos Resort is by far the best among these three. Pro: 1. You ordered the breakfast the night before. And it would be served to you at your balcony next morning. Having the tasty breakfast at your balcony with the great view of the caldera! 2. Room is spacious. The washroom is also spacious. I like the room very much. Cons: 1. Pay the money and use the hotel's airport/ferry port transfer service. It is VERY difficult to locate the hotel if it is your first time in Santorini.

After some complications with our room - we had booked a Spa Suite, which was no longer available. The staff did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They compensated us with a complimentary dinner in their own restaurant, which I must say was one of the best meals we had in Greece - and one of the best Views of the Acropolis. Staff in all areas of the Hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Athens Status Suites is only a small hotel, but makes up for it with their friendly attitudes. Make sure you go to the rooftop bar for a great view around sunset. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

My girlfriend and I booked this trip within a month of our planned travels. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were treated with such kindness. The staff, from the front desk to the servers to the cleaning people, were always smiling and willing to help. Amazing hospitality. The front desk assisted us with booking cabs, making resverations, and also providing several recommendations. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at Mykonos Essence and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for making our trip amazing!

This hotel is 1min from Metaxourgio station which is 1 stop away from Larissa station (where regional trains arrive/depart) and close to regional bus depots, making it a good base for daytrips out of Athens. Otherwise, it is 3 stops from Syntagma (parliament house where changing of the guard is, high end shopping and the main shopping street) and 4 from Acropoli (Acropolis and Plaka area for nice restaurants and nice small shops). These two stations, along with Monastiraki (Agora, Roman Forum, downtown shopping with markets, 1 stop from Syntagma on another line), are the areas that you want to stay in for convenience. But if you want to save money on accommodation and still live in comfort, then this hotel is a great choice - the metro is only €1.40 (half price for students) and is quick and easy to use. Room is a little small with not a lot of table space, but it was in good condition and bathroom was a proper shower (which I like) instead of shower over bathtub. Buffet breakfast is pretty good, and the tavern opposite does amazing amazing souvlaki for cheap (even compared to other Greek restaurants). The price I paid for room + breakfast here was less than other basic 3* hotels in regional Greece with smaller rooms and much lower standard breakfast.

Amazing friendly staff. Eleni was great and super helpful with getting us transportation, setting up ATVs, etc. breakfast was also amazing every morning, even though I’m sure we annoyed them with our late wake ups. Housekeeping was very responsive. Pool and views were amazing. Private hot tub was also sweet and had a great view. Had dinner there the last night which was also amazing and priced fairly. Nice location that’s pretty quiet and feels like a nice getaway from Fira/Oia crowds. Loved our stay there!

We arrived around dusk to the most spectacular sunset we could have imagined. The setting of this hotel is truly spectacular!!! Forget going elsewhere when you have the best view from your room! The staff here were all extremely friendly and accommodating, and even located us in a room right by the pool so that we could be close to our room when our baby was napping. We would definitely recommend staying here in Imerovigli as opposed to overcrowded Oia and Fira. We had a very relaxing and beautiful stay here. They were even so kind as to provide a baby cot without any extra charge. We were so grateful that everyone was so welcoming to our little family, and even offered to hold our baby whilst we ate our lunch. The lunch itself was also very good quality and really reasonably priced. I really can't say enough good things about our stay here. We absolutely loved it and were so so happy to have chosen this location to stay in Santorini.

Unfortunately the wifi is not free and not reliable. Beachchairs are charged extra, 15 euro for the day.

It s a good location, which combinate sea and swimming pool, very kind staff but the rooms are very old and have insects, which made our night very difficult. because of one insect, we couldn t sleep of its noise. The breakfast was good but one negative notice that the coffee that i want to drink i have to pay for it. Hotel is expensive in totally for that which offers but it can be better if it renovate its facilities

Staff were friendly well informed and warm. Outdoor pool area is fabulous and the restaurant offers great service and value for money. Our bedroom and bathroom were spotless and lovely touches like the percale linen and pristine thick toweling we loved!

these guys were great from my girlfriend and i walking into the hotel the man on the desk took our bags to our room, (which he promptly upgraded because they had one free) then helped show us where the closest things were that we wanted to do, gave us maps! my friend was sick on the first night so they helped us get delivery food from a restaurant for me!! in the morning great breakfast, pretty good selection- great coffee which is hard to find and few of the other guests would just stay in the tables all day gettning served ice coffees untill lunch came then got onto the cocktails!! great service, very friendly all staff take the time to get to know you and will say hello, serve you right to your room or poolside, will help with directions things to do, ordering taxis, what ports you need, will help you with everything you need!! they also have a hire bike shop under the hotel, very close to the super markets, little shops, beautiful beach, but you wont want to leave the pool! You must stay here in mykonos! not that close to the beach party but will be a cheap taxi or you just hire bikes, 4 wheelers or cars for the days you want to go down there 4-7 euro taxi to town which arrives in under 4 mins after ordering! worth the money and the stay!!

The hotel is all in all excellent! The views are breathtaking, both from the pool level and from the sea view rooms. The sunset from here is stunning! The balconies offer privacy from adjacent balconies. The restaurant is unlike other hotel restaurants, it is top class! It offers great fresh and local food and amazing cocktails. The hosts and the staff are all very welcoming. You will require a car or some other form of private transportation to enjoy this hotel at its maximum if you also wish to explore the island. The city centre and Vasilikos area are only a 10-15 minute drive with a car. The West and North parts of the island would be an hour's drive. A negative for us was that you have to pass the Argassi town to get to the hotel which can get quite crowded and conjested. Because of its location within the trees on the hill you do get some wasps/bees circulating especially at meal times. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Kostas, the front office manager took very good care of us , He was gracious and helpful. The breakfast staff were efficient, professional and very nice, I took off 2 stars for the hamam which is a steam room and was not working well For our time there , but management made it up to us. The layout is a bit odd and the sauna a bit tight.The pool and rooftop deck are beautiful,(Nice long pool for length swimming ) but hours in the winter season (November ) a bit short, so not open for a morning swim before heading out or an evening swim after a long day out. Jacuzzi, cold , Sauna and gym open though. Overall a very positive and pleasant experience .Close to everything. Rooms lovely, a good size and cleaning staff very good as well. This hotel is near the airport so we use it as a base and travel to other islands from it. For us , the location is excellent because it is very, very close to the airport -you can see and hear the planes land. This might be a problem for other users but like the fact that the area is otherwise very quiet. A lot of Santorini has been ruined because it is s touristy and busy. The hotel has a fantastic pool and the rooms are simple but nice. The most notable thing about this hotel is the staff who are exemplary. They are so helpful and friendly and for us, this is important because we are constantly booking taxis, car hire, ferries etc.

We had 12 people in our group, and we used five rooms at the hotel. Everyone had a wonderful experience. The rooms were extremely clean, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant several times and the food was always great, especially the breakfasts!! The pool service was lovely, too. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Oia Mare. Oia Mare is a wonderful, romantic botique hotel. My husband and I stayed in a Superior Suite. We had outstanding views; we could watch the sun set from our balcony! The room was spacious and clean; the bath was clean as well (very important attribute to me in any hotel stay) and was supplied with good towels. The bed was comfortable-- not too hard or soft. The hotel staff was friendly and handled issues promptly. (We had some ants in our room and they addressed it right away). The hotel offered nice touches like a complementary bottle of wine for us to enjoy when watching the sunset. The location is fantastic. The villas are located half way down the cliff. The hotel seems to be just far enough away from the congested main pedestian thoroughfares; therefore, it is quiter. In just a few minutes walk you can reach shops or restaurants. The flip side though is that the hotel may be tough to reach for those who have physical challenges; there are a lot of stairs and switchbacks to the main street. We did not use the pool, but did use the community deck chairs--a great place to hang out for the day. The continental breakfast was okay; cold foods were much better than hot foods. If you are driving, try to park at the Hellenic Post Office. It is the lot that is closest to the Best Western (where you check in); the Oia Mare porter will then meet you to help you with your bags. The Oia Mare is a great place to relax and recharge; I can't wait to go back.

I did expect that The Golden Age of Athens would be a pleasant hotel but the hotel, its staff and services have surpassed my expectations. The help desk was truly helpful (Thank you Eleni!!!) The rooms were spacious and very neat as well as modern and the breakfast was one of the best I've had on my travels. Thank you!!!

Booked into the hotel for the final two nights of our trip to Greece. The rooftop pool was a real drawcard as we were looking to relax prior to the pending long flights. We, and other couples (and their children) were unable to enjoy the pool area due obscene language and unacceptable drunken behaviour by a group of young males and females. The staff did nothing about it, other than continue to serve alcohol to them. I wrote to the manager expressing my disappointment in a constructive manner, however did not even receive a response. Very disappointing.

The check in was very easy as they knew we were coming and everything was all ready. The view is just stunning. The disappearing edge opens out into the sea with the volcanic island rising out. Our room was ready and they carried our bags down from the car park (no easy feat) THE ROOM: we were in room 105 (recommended), a junior suite. It is a cave style room and just incredible. All white with curtains and round ceilings and a mezzanine area. Our own kitchen and very spacious bathroom. We were slack jawed. And then our welcome glasses of local soft fizz arrived. The room also has an iPod music dock. BREAKFAST: this is preordered each day and they bring breakfast down to your room or outside on the pool terrace - as you like. We, being greedy, had sparkling wine, fruit, eggs, local pastries every morning. This is made off site and brought to you everyday. SERVICE: flawless. They booked restaurants, made recommendations, booked cars, day excursions, dropped us off at the airport etc. All great. The shaved head Croatian guy is phenomenal, friendly and well-informed. There are 5* hotels that could really learn a thing or two from this guy. VALUE: so we found a good online deal and we could not believe our luck. Santorini and Caldera views don't come cheap. This is perfect is perfect for honeymoons and romantic weekends. At 3x the price we would find this place great value. LOCATION: in terms if where it is in the island, it's great and easier if you have a car. In terms of in Fira, it's about a 15 min walk into town. You need to be fit. There's a lot of stairs coming up from the hotel. If you need disabled access I'm not sure if this is a practical place to stay but you will have this all around the caldera. It's a must stay. We are so glad we went.

The hotel was really lovely. We had an electrical issue in our room late in the evening and were offered another room, but preferred to stay put. The issue was quickly resolved the next morning. The staff was excellent, from the free transfers, to the reception and wait staff. The dinner was one of the best we had during our two- week stay on Greece. The view was spectacular and access to the city very easy. I would definitely make a return trip and highly recommend it.

We got on the train from the airport and got of at Syntagma station where the hotel is just about a minute walk away. Syntagma is the best place to stay and Astor hotel is one of the good price hotel. Since we arrived about 8am, the room was not yet available (we have the impression that this hotel is always fully booked so better book early). Check in staff was very friendly and guaranteed us the best room but only after 12nn. We therefore went on the tour first. Check in staff also very helpful in giving out information on where to go and how to go about. Upon our return, we got a room on the top floor (i suppose the suites) with the view of the Acropolis! It was perfect! The room is very clean, the toilet is also clean and spacious enough. We had a very huge balcony! I recommend this hotel for leisure or business.

The only gripe about this and every other hotel I've been to in Greece is that the endless masses of American tourists have affected the way the hotels write things/describe things/food portions etc. Buffet breakfasts with tons of carbonised bacon and maple syrup and giant plates to satisfy giant appetites, all wording in American English (zucchini, eggplant etc), my orange juice is by minute maid, my eggs can be 50 versions of the same thing. This is not European and certainly not Greek. I understand the reasons but I think it's a shame. Big fat dumb dollars talk louder right now here and they aren't afraid to complain when everything's not like it is back home (spot the oxymoron), so it's just catered for instead. Ok you give money we make everything like you want it even if it's not even remotely Greek. Efcharisto bye bye see next year. "Duuude Greece was awesome"

What a gem this place is. Perfect location for exploring Plaka, Monestraki flea market and the Acropolis. Just steps away from the main shopping street. Rooms are modern, really nicely appointed & beds are reallly comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served in your room. The hotel also has a lift so getting to your room is not an issue. One of the best boutique hotels we stayed in in the last few years.

We booked totally 6 hotels for our trip to Greece. Kymothoe Elite is no doubt the best one! The room is very cozy and well equipped. It has a beautiful pool and the view is devine. The owner Nikos is a very warm-hearted person. He gave us a lot of useful advice for the trip in Zakynthos and helped us with a safe car rental. He even showed us secluded beach of the hotel for our wedding photoshoot. We're so lucky to have chosen Kymothoe for our stay. It definitely gives the most memorale experience!

This villa has an incredible sunset view. We were all in awe as we watch the sun slowly disappear in the horizon. The staffs are amazing, especially Demitris the manager, who is very hospitable and never fails to attend to our needs. We can’t wait to be back!
