I stayed at Sahara Star, Santacruz twice during my travel to mumbai, upon arrival for 2 nights. I stayed with my husband, 4 yr old son, parents as well as my infant of 11 months. The stay was magnificent. Hence we booked the same hotel upon returning to mumbai after domestic travels within India. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside was when the room service/housekeeping refused to send cutlery and crockery to our room which was required for the kids meals. We were told that it was hotel policy to only provide same if we ordered from the restaurant/room service. That was the only unaccomodating and inconvenient bit, since it was in the evening and my kid lost left his spoon and bowl at a previous hotel. However, the overall goodness overshadowed this minor complaint. The airport pickup and drop off were timeous and courteous bearing in mind our late international flight. The concierge was also extremely helpful in storing our baggage whilst we travelled out and upon checkout whlist awaiting our late flight.

I am a frequent visitor travelling to India every month and I was surprised for the service I had in this hotel. I was recommended by a friend in srilanka and had a try. Very satisfactory in all departments and specially the front office by a friendly guy Aslam who can be another star to the hotel. He was very helpful to do all the needful in no time. The fastest check-in I have experienced in india. I checked in on the 10th Sept 2017. The room's were very clean and just white all round which gives you a very relaxing feeling. Interior of the hotel was creative, specially the coffee shop where the breakfast is served. Breakfast lay out was great with a variety of food. Very good choice of Indian and European food.

We moved here from the Sawara Grand around the corner after just one night. Thank you Agoda for moving us. The Ramada is well situated for the Golden Temple, which I walked to early every morning and for the Partition Museum which is a "must see". Although we were there in winter and it was too cold to swim, it was lovely to sit up by the pool and look over Amritsar and do some work with the computer. The restaurant is also amazingly good and relatively expensive. My son and I who have traveled India extensively agreed that our Biriyani at the Ramada was by far the best we'd eaten in our lives.... And we've eaten many. This will always be my hotel of choice in Amritsar. Oh, and the travel desk and reception are also really good and helpful. Impressed!

We booked 3 nights here at the end of a month in India for a bit of luxury and it definitely delivered. The staff are wonderful, so efficient, friendly and polite- nothing is to much for them. Our room came with an excellent complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, fruit platter, mini bar and tea and coffee room service for each day of our stay- lots of extra perks for one of the more affordable rooms ! The spa also offered us a complimentary foot massage and we made use of the fitness centre. The front desk organised us a walking tour ( heritage tour) which we would highly recommend - the guide was excellent. Best we experienced in India. As it was monsoon season the river was too high for us to enjoy the boat ride to the hotel and it can be tricky to find on foot as it is in the maze of old town Varanasi , hence 4 star for location, and would be nice to have a swimming pool, hence 4 for facilities.

The orchid is the ultimate place to stay at a budget with 5 star experience near the Domestic airport and the NESCO grounds. Travel Desk: Very functional and provides free shuttles to both international(15mins) and domestic airports(10mins). the drivers can converse in good english. They also provide cabs for daily use but it is slightly on the higher side as you can get the radio cabs at a cheaper price. Reception: This is the area where they can improve. Nothing to complain about their courteous welcoming or hospitality. But they are too slow to check you in or also finaly check out. Concierge: Very good hospitality. Provides good service. Dining They have plenty of choices for restaurants. South Indian, kebabs, north indian and also 24hr coffee shops. The in-room dining menu is also equally good. Sligtly pricier but still ok for a 5 star hotel. Swimming and Gym Small swimming pool Good for relaxation. Gym is well equipped for you to sweat it out after a tiring day of work

Good hotel as the staff are very professional. You can see the difference here between a 5-star hotel and a lesser rated one. Concierge Ramesh was very helpful and front-desk Aman was very accommodating and polite. Location too was excellent as it is in the heart of Delhi. The only drawback I noted, and this would apply to most hotels in India, is the fact that they lack facilities for children such as a playroom. In essence, children have very little activities to do in the hotel, save for the pool, which is not practical for usage during winter as it is outdoor.

Almost everything about this hotel is beyond expectation. I spent my last day in India in this hotel, after 2 weeks of travelling in India. Among the 7 hotels that I had stayed during my trip, this hotel is the best. From the moment I step into this hotel, the staffs made me so welcome and appreciated. The ambiance was really nice and almost magical too. However, among the 7 hotels, this hotel is the only hotel that does not offers complimentary wifi. I had to pay 200 rupees ( excludes service charge&gst) for 1 hour of wifi.

This hotel is by far one of the best hotels that i have stayed at in all of India.(compares with The Taj Exotica in Goa and the Jaypee Palace in Agra) there was a small issue about the name as we knew it as The Leela Kempinski and when asking for directions, the locals only knew it as The Leela, later discovering it to be the same hotel. The double headed shower was a first for me and a unique feature. A small mistake that i made when booking through Agoda was that some how my accomodation did not include breakfast. I had to pay for this separately and being a five star hotel with buffet breakfast, it proved to be very costly as i had two children(12 and 13 yrs) which did not do justice to the lovely huge range available. Other than that, this hotel will definitely remain in our memory for a long time.

I stayed there from Feb 1 through Feb 6. The location is conveniently located in the very center of Channai. You can get to almost all places of Chennai city in about than 20 mins, unless you need to move during rush hours. The rooms and all common places are very clean. The staff are well spoken in English , and are helpful. Like all decent hotels in India, the inside and outside of the hotel are like two different worlds. You see well dressed international and local travelers inside the hotel, and poor and seedy people in dusty streets outside.

Truly awesome experience with the management and staff of Fariyas Resort Lonavala. Impeccable and Awesome dining experience, wonderful rooms, great ambience, water and adventure park, bar inside the pool, all these make this Resort as one of the best places to stay. During our stay, there were festival celebrations with games, food and lots of gifts to be won. Karaoke night on one night and DJ night on the second night made our stay as one of the best. Special thanks to VP Mr Thakur, Mr Partha Ray (Rooms Manager), Mr. Anil (F&B head), Mr. Srikanta (F&B Manager), Mr Goutam and Mr Arup who took special care of us. Team Fariyas is one of the best in my opinion as they have been trained to win customers hearts. This was my second stay with them and believe me, my third stay with my complete family will be very soon during monsoon season as that’s the best time to enjoy food, weather and adventure activities. Mr Daman who heads their travel desk is one of the person I’ve ever dealt during any of stays worldwide. He brings a human touch while dealing with customers and treat them as they are his own family members. Thanks so very much team Fariyas for making our stay unforgettable and memorable.

We absolutely loved this place it was stunning and the staff went above and beyond for us! We adored it so much we booked an extra night! If you want 5 star luxury, beautiful food and atmosphere, great service and gorgeous scenery this is the place!! But it is very expensive for India so if your counting your penny’s this is not the place for you..we will be back!!! And a special reference to our favourite employee Latif khan who was a joy to talk to and who waited on us hand and foot! (Needless to say all other employees were fabulous to, constantly looking after us and forever bringing us beautiful foods to try at breakfast!)

The best hotel in India. Its value for money and the staff were very professional. The room was very clean and does justice to the rate. We requested for early breakfast and they packed it nicely. Only hotel after traveling throughout India where i wasn't hassled at any point in time to the effect that even a staff member showed us to the room first where our details were taken for check-in rather then standing at reception for 30 - 45 minutes.

I had booked this Hotel on the one and only one belief of Agoda's uploaded pics of the hotel. As this was my 1st stay in India in Hyderabad, it was a nice surprise and welcome to me. The hotel is awesome. The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast is too good. Moreover the roof top bar is the best. With the fantastic view of the Hussain Sagar Lake, the mood was perfect. One word. BRILLIANT

After a long car journey our arrival at Lake Pichola Hotel was welcomed. the spacious foyer was welcome after the long day in the car. The rooms are small but clean with cable TV. Our room had a lovely balcony with a view of the lake & palace. They made sure that the party of 5 had 3 room next to each other. Even though we asked for a double room our "double bed was two singles pushed together - this happens a lot in India.. The shower head needed descaling or cleaning as the spray went all over the place.This is common in India too. The water was hot & each room had it's own solar powered water heater that is turned on when you arrive. The towels were clean & smelled really fresh even if they were grey. Grey towels are commonplace in India. The breakfast options were limited-we thought we were getting a self serve continental breakfast.Not so. Toast was plentiful as was jam. There was cereal on offer. indian options were available. The coffee was one of the better indian hotel coffees during our 3 weeks India trek. One of our companions used the rooftop pool & loved it. The rooftop bar has a cocktail menu- many of the ingredients were unavailable-we couldn't get cocktails. This is common in this region.One night it was Ghandi's birthday so we had to hide the beers. Dinner on roof was good on all 3 nights. however the Chicken Korma was great the first night & average the 2nd so our group's Korma lover tried something else on night 3. The ambience & view made up for any food shortcomings. We were given free nibbles with drinks.Be early to secure a canopied day bed. The one downside was that the cleaning lady asking one of our group for money.Not as a tip but because she perceived us to be rich. This is common in India too. Naturally her request was refused but she was shocked. The hotel arranged for an 18kg to be sent home with an alternate courier-it arrived in NZ safely. This is one the the best hotels we've ever stayed in. We visited India for my husband's 50th birthday for 2 weeks. On the day of his birthday the hotel gave him a cake and a dozen roses send to the room as they're gift to him. The service was amazing, anything we needed or asked for was given to us very promptly. We did the Indian retreat at the spa while visiting. This was the best massage of our lives. We were floating on air with how relaxed we were for almost 2 days. The restaurants and in room dining was spectacular as well. If there is a Shangri la hotel or one of its affiliates anywhere we travel we will be sure to book it for sure.

We stayed here from Sept 19 to 23, 2018 and liked this hotel very much. The hotel is located in a busy area, with all the traffic but you can be assured of getting a good night’s sleep. Hotel Room/Hotel Staff Our room and bathroom were very clean. Staff from bell desk to housekeeping, restaurant and security were very friendly and helpful. The front office staff were nice particularly Mr Amit Burman. He helped us resolved our request for a room change. Although it took quite a while to resolve it, we greatly appreciated his effort in trying his best to accommodate our request for a double bed for a very personal reason. For this, we were very thankful for his help. Breeze Restaurant We went for our breakfast and dinner in Breeze restaurant. Staff at the restaurant were very attentive and professional. I was so lucky to grab the Leela Goa (via Agoda) during the off-season at an incredibly affordable price, but I must admit that even though the experience is probably worth every penny of the rates it usually commands ($300-400/night during from Oct-Apr)...I probably wouldn't have been able to afford such luxury if not for the off-season. The airport shuttle was a 5-series BMW, there were staff attendants to serve your every whim...from assistance in the "locker room" after a workout in the gym, to a security guard to carry a flashlight 10 steps behind you if you wanted to walk on the beach after sunset. The only warning I would issue is that the cuisine is not very western-friendly. I ate an apple from my room on the first morning and spent the next 2 hours sick in the bathroom. The buffet is filled with Indian and Chinese options, which are either very spicy (as is consistent with the rest of India) and/or full of uncooked fruits and veggies, which are no-nos for Westerners. But that is literally the ONLY "complaint" I could muster, and its a mild complaint as part of the adventure of India is navigating a wild assortment of new foods! The resort is absolutely the definition of luxury and beauty, perfectly relaxing and comfortable. I even rented a moped and explored the surrounding villages, and felt very safe doing so. I am used to paying top dollar for "5 star" hotels in India and finding that they are not quite as clean as expected and that the staff are below par in terms of performance however I was pleasantly surprised that the Fern had neither of these issues and was a "normal" international 5 star. The fitness centre was way too small and underequipped with weight machines and a/c however it had the requisite cardio equipment. Staff at check in / out were particularly efficient and all were 'naturally' friendly.

My stay was all throughout superb! I have actu changed my plans and book the Claridges for another 7 nights. Service is impeccable, attention and care genuine. As a business guest, the facility offer all comforts to host meetings. I travelled to and around India many times and this is the best value for money hotel one could ever find! One can spend a lot in a very extravagant hotel where you are still a number. Here there is a feel that they actually care about you! Immense pleasure to be at The Claridges and will come back for sure.

1) I liked the services in the Indian restaurant. They paid detailed attention to our dining needs and 1 of the staff even packed some "Papadum" (Indian crackers) for me to eat on my flight back to SG! 2) I can't say the same for the Italian restaurant when I was entertaining my Korean clients. They seemed to pay more attention to "Caucasians" & "Other Foreigners". 3) The front office staff was kind enough to upgrade me to club floor as they I am a lady travelling alone for the 1st time in Mumbai. 4) Only Cons of staying in any hotels in India is the NOISY in-house guests. Heard that most Indians start their dinner after 9.30pm & they would party until 3-4am in the morning! They would bang their room doors & make jokes along the corrider which is a huge irritant! Wish Grand Hyat has a butler in every club floor to ask these guests to quiet down!

This place is awesome. It's built as palace and you will get that feel as soon as you enter it. From welcome to lobby to interiors to staff. It's lobby is huge and one of the attractions. At every place in hotel you will feel grand royal luxury. Staff is very polite and helpful. They took extra efforts to make us comfortable. On request we were allowed to drop luggage few days early and also allowed late check-out. Rooms also have one of the best interiors and clean. All staff provided personal attention and even provided exclusive tour of property. Food was also great and restaurant staff even prepared items not on menu on request. There was live ghazal performance at restaurant for dinner and live piano performance almost whole day in Lobby. It's a palace and gives you perfect feel of royalty.

The Oriental Residency is a genuinely great Hotel if you want to be in the Bandra / Khar area and dont have an endless budget. We stayed here for 6 nights and would not hesitate to stay here again next time we are in Bombay. The staff did everything they could to make our stay a good one. The kitchen team were great, the reception was professionally (if sometimes inadequately) staffed and we were pleased with almost every aspect of our stay. I say almost because there are a couple of comments that do need to be made. The first is that the hotel obviously relies on the 6th floor banquet room for much of its income. That is fine but the noise is relentless and a total nightmare for westerners not used to quite so much noise in hotels. The best advice I can offer is to take a room on a lower floor and as far from the lift / elevator as possible. Room numbers around 6,7,8 should be okay, but the higher your floor, the worse it will be. Next, dont rely too heavily on the hotel shuttle to the airport. It might not turn up when you need it so plan at least an hour before you really need it to give them a chance to find the absent driver or to book an alternate taxi. Apart from these two issues, the rest is fine. That said if you have grown up staying in Marriott, Hilton or Sheraton hotels you will find it inadequate, but this is India and this hotel is just fine.

I stayed at this beautiful hotel for only two nights, wish it had been longer. I chose it because of online reviews and a good recommendation from a friend in Delhi who had stayed there previously. Maybe because I had introductions from my previous hotel, La Villa Shanti, I found the service and attention we received from the staff to be outstanding, I just hope all guests are treated the same way. We stayed in a sea view room, perfect for this time of year with the breeze coming directly onto the balcony. The room was spacious with an enormous bathroom. I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel with such a huge indoor shower, it was also very powerful. The room had a large wide screen tv, plus there is also a safe, kettle, hairdryer and minibar. A mosquito repellent plug in is also provided. Amazingly, weighing scales are hidden in a cupboard, although whether this is meant for weighing yourself or your luggage. I am unsure! The pool area is fantastic, exceptionally clean, with towels provided, and also beautifully illuminated after dark. As the resort is rather remote you are obliged to eat here. The breakfast is a large buffet selection that suits both western and Indian palates. There are dedicated chefs who make eggs of your choice plus Indian delicacies. On our first night we wanted butter chicken which was not on the menu but they were happy to oblige and it was extremely tasty, but the parathas were not as good as those in our previous hotel. He meal prices were higher than those in my previous hotel in the Old Town, but the wine was actually cheaper! Service in the restaurant was excellent, special thanks goes to our waitress, Pinky. My companion used the spa facilities and was very impressed. The beachfront area in front of the hotel was very clean. I was also allowed a late check out from the room at 2:30pm instead of 12:00 noon at no extra charge. I would recommend this hotel whole heartedly.

From Lalit's enlightened policy of inclusivity to their high standard of service, everything is excellent at this hotel. Even the basic rooms are luxurious and spacious. The location is convenient (only 5 minutes walk to Chandni Chowk Metro). We stayed almost a week there and were greeted on arrival by Mahima who explained that we could contact her if we needed anything during our stay. She was very hospitable. I included breakfast, which was well worth it as there was a huge selection in a bright and elegant setting. Buffet dinner was also very good quality. I've stayed at a lot of good hotels in India over many years but this one was the best. And if you book in advance through Agoda you can get a reasonable rate for 5 star comfort. One suggestion to management is to get a few more poolside chairs and provide some umbrellas to give shade. The pool is a nice place to relax.

We had a great time on the whole. With 3 generations of the family all enjoying their time there last weekend ! It's a lovely property, beautifully located and maintained and the main pool with its 100 m winding path, is fabulous Many of the staff we interacted with - specially the Goan employees - were extremely gracious, helpful and friendly. The ladies at the reception could perhaps be given a few pointers on amiability and a gentle reminder that they are after all, in the hospitality industry .. ! But really, this is a minor quibble and noticed only because the others were so obviously hospitable in comparison. One area of complaint however, was the buffet breakfast. A wide spread and definitely a source of joy to visitors from the South of India with idlis, dosas and a range of vegetarian fare. For the rest of us, and Western visitors who looked around in vain for any sort of breakfast cold cuts, or cooked ham / bacon and the like, it was a disconcerting feeling at best. Cheese clearly seemed to be a no-no as well ! When I pointed out to the staff that when visiting a *Goan* hotel, we would expect to be able to actually eat like we *are* in Goa .. they were quickly to rush off and get us some cheese & hams to our table. Which was kind of them .. but this happened only because I brought it up. I noticed a couple of Western & north indian guests looking a tad lost however. Also, while there were not one but *two* types of teas on tap, the coffee was served only on request (why on earth?!) .. and what actually arrived, could put bilge water to shame ! Seriously Zuri team, coffee ?!? Other than this surprising lapse with breakfast, the rest of the experience was uniformly excellent ! Would visit again .. but if I do, I'm getting my own coffee, cheese & bacon !

Location is good. Hotel cleanness is maintained. Staff lazy specially housekeeping staff. Restaurants offer good delicious food with good service but the portion served of same item is different. Cheaper restaurant serves more quantity and higher price menu serves less quantity I hv experienced in desert order (kulfi). Staff very irresponsible. My personal experience it happened with me on 20.1.17 at 4pm. I was on the way to airport and I recd a call from duty manager saying that when am I going to check out I answered already chkd out, than he saying rudely who is going to pay ur bill for food u hv eaten. As I hv booked the room through Agoda room bill was already cleared before chk in. I answered him already cleared the food bill, instead of checking the system or with cashier he kept on arguing with me. Very bad. People should raise voice and write the review so that it creates a good change to best improvement and management should take action against such staff.
