This hotel is located on the marina where there are lots of bars, entertainment, and delicious food. No beach but great pools. The property is showing some signs of age but the service was good, Bed was comfortable and the best hotel pillow in a long time.

This is one of the best resorts in the hotel zone. The room was extremely clean, and the staff was always polite and welcoming. The one thing that sets this resort apart from others is how great the good is. There were at least 7 restaurants to choose from, on top of the cafeteria and sushi bar located in the lobby. The drinks were great. Some bartenders poured a little heavier than others, but on average everything was great and exceeded all expectations. This was my 2nd time visiting and I can't wait to return.

Very clean and the food was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We called before we booked our trip and asked about what type of liquor they served. They told me it was all good quality liquor but come to find out the hard way that we needed to upgrade our stay. It was still good but not the best. The beach was terrible. Rooms are very nice and clean . Oh forgot room service is not free they charged us for order food.

This was our second stay at Hotel Marina El Cid and we loved it as much as the first time. This time we were a much larger group (31 people) and the staff were always helpful and friendly when accommodating us. I enjoyed everything about this resort, especially the gym and it’s trainers. Having the opportunity to do yoga almost everyday was fantastic for me. Dalia is an amazing (and patient) instructor. Bottom line a great place to visit.

The reason for choosing this hotel is because I was under the impression that this is an all exclusive adults only hotel. But we were surprised that the hotel was swarming with children. Nothing wrong with it but just false advertisement and misleading information. It was even briefed to us that it is an adults only hotel. Jacuzzi was one we were looking forward to was overcrowded by children. Beach also starts to smell like sewage.

The beach is absolutely world class. Amazing sand and clear water. This alone makes the Grand Oasis worth it, but then you add in the 1/4 mile long pool, day parties/concerts, and views of Cancun from the Pyramid and the beach deck are breathtaking. The scene during March and April (Spring Break) is for singles looking for a good time. The bars and pool are always full of fun people. Not recommended for couples or families during this time at least. Stay away from the two Oasis Lite restaurants at either end of the property. These are the cheaper restaurants for people who did not pay extra for the Pyramid. It is easy to go there because they seem to always be open, but there is A LOT better food at the Pyramid only restaurants especially White Box and the buffet restaurant above White Box.

I have been to Mexico atleast 7 times, I have stayed at all-inclusives before. I consider myself and savvy travel shopper. Not just a value traveler, we also will do luxury. We had my daughters best friend from college with us. I had promised the parents not to leave resort due to the unrest in Mexico's political climate at this time. I chose this resort because it had enough amenities between both resorts (Royal Solaris Caribe) that they could play tennis, mini golf, all pools, hot tubs, restaurants, bars, kayaks and paddle boats. This was not the case. We were not premiere members? We were falsely sold our vacation. Also, as soon as we walked in the travel sales membership people were all over us! I'm sorry to say that I could never buy a time-share of any sort at this place because it is dated. If you wanted bacon at the buffet, you had to ask. There was water leaks and a musty smell. On a positive note, the beach is nice, the location is nice, the people that cleaned room GREAT!

Amazing location on the most beautiful beach, which is just steps away from the hotel and pool. Everything is very clean, rooms pool area food areas and the beach. Food was great always something different and always a lot to choose from. Great night and evening entertainment the staff is amazing so friendly and always trying to help out to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Cocktails better than you would get them in any other restaurant or bar !!!!! We traveled with small children and they loves the kids club and playground area and kids pool the staff is so sweet my kids loved them They where very patient and loving. Just amazing we will be back next year !

From the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out , you are treated like royalty. Everything was above and beyond expected especially during spring break. This Hotel was amazing quite and relaxing during our entire stay, even tho it was spring break and millions of young kids were having tons of crazy fun outside... not even a peep was heard or seen in our hotel. This Hotel has high security and is perfect centered in the middle of everything. Walking distance to the club's and Amazing bars, lounges and Restaurant. In the middle of amazing beaches like playa Langosta, El Mirador and Playa Tortuga. You can catch the bus R1 OUTSIDE the hotel to take you to catch the ferry to Islas Mujeres. Beach and pool area are amazing!! Food and service is Top Notch. Room Service is Fast and Delicious. The Rooms are super comfortable...Amazing Views and a jet tube to die for. Even tho we didn't use the "Full Kitchen" and Huge "Living Room & Dinning Room" we will be back with our kids soon.

The Hyatt Regency in Merida is a great hotel, just a 20 minute walk from the main town square. The room was clean and spacious, with a large in-room safe. The staff were very friendly. I did not try the in-house restaurants so cannot comment. The pool area was stylish, but the pool would be better if it was heated... the water was very very cold. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay.

following a horrendous drive from the airport, traffic +++ arrived at the hotel and the staff where fantastic. Shown to our room given a lesson on all the facilities etc. I had some problems with pick up transfers (which i had pre booked) I had problems with checking in(on line) on flights prior to departure and I was not able to find a travel/holiday info etc, the staff at this hotel sorted out everything for us. Would thoroughly recommend staying here . Food,room service, nothing was a problem.

The Fiesta has great local location with very nice facilities . Good value .Very nice staff . The hotel needs a revamp in places . Bath plugs do not work .....coffee makers not good . The biggest problem at the hotel is the noise from the bars opposite side of road . It goes on from sunset to 7am ! FULL VOLUME ! The local municipality obviously has no rules about noise ! Rooms nearer the road are affected . Unless you are deaf , it is hell. We complained and were moved . Full marks to hotel , but you cannot move every guest !!!!! According to a staff member they are CONSIDERING putting in double glazing . Great idea....... but until then book in WITH CAUTION . Ask for room in front of hotel or take sleeping tablets with you !

My first Cancun experience became wonderful thanks to GR Caribe By Solaris. All staffs are very kind and helpful. All restaurant's foods and drinks are excellent. Especially Marco polo is my best place. Don't miss making the reservation. I have 4-year-old daughter. She loves all pools and Kids club. She enjoyed water slides again and again. If I had to pick up disappointment points, it is that they do not have a coin-laundry. We need to use laundry services with additional price.

Explorean is an outstanding value and experience. The setting is quiet and peaceful , the staff and food are the best. I travel to Cozumel often and wish I would have found this hotel sooner.

Only issue is we were not told prior to booking we would have to switch rooms until check in. Explanation for Time Share ownership was reasonable and acceptable however when bellhop called for us to move, we were moved to a room that was not clean. It was dirty, disgusting, with odors. We almost wanted to leave the resort. After the room was cleaned, we stayed and the room was fine. It was still a very unpleasant experience based on the premium price we agreed to. We would still return and recommend to others.

Everything was great except for the bar noise which lasted until 1:00 on several nights allowing a small group of people to become very drunk and loud and keeping the rest of the building awake.

This hotel is a wonderful option if you don’t want to rush through the ruins and have a night to spare. Good service, magical grounds. The bungalows are private and quiet. I happened to find a fair price on Agoda, but had I paid the regular asking price, not sure I would have been so happy - so shop the price.

Pros..... staff and location. Cons... cruise ship quality food, too much sea weed and calling off the hook a restaurant.. no way. That small pool bar should stay open later.

We stayed in a Junior suite at the HM Paraiso Del Mar in Holbox for 6 days and it was really great. This is a quiet resort I think best suited towards relaxed couples and low maintenance families, not a party scene (thank god!). We were one of at least 3 LGBT couples staying at the hotel, which was nice to see, and we always felt very safe and taken care of. The staff is incredible! We arranged for airport pick up and drop off by emailing the hotel. The journey from Cancun airport is 2+ hours, a 30 min ferry to the island, and a short golf cart cab ride to the hotel, all of which was smooth. Check-In was easy, front desk staff was always accommodating and friendly. The walk into town is about 10 mins along the beach or road, but only about 40 pesos by golf cart taxi if you don’t want to walk. The junior suite is spacious & clean, with a comfortable bed & pillows, and has a terrace with a hammock. There is a small mini fridge, some beverages for purchase, complimentary bottles of water. We had daily breakfast included but didn’t opt for the full all inclusive, as there are so many restaurants we wanted to try in town. Breakfast every day was a large buffet that covered all the bases: omelette station, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes or French toast, chilaquiles, various pastries, quesadillas, plantains, a fruit and yogurt bar, sandwich fixings, and a fresh juice/smoothie bar! The pool is smallish but almost unnecessary considering the ocean is shallow, beautiful and RIGHT there. The beachfront bar is fabulous. Never a struggle to find a lounge chair. There is a secure safe in the room, and daily housekeeping... the sand is very fine so be careful about tracking it into your room! This hotel has a LOT of nature around and inside it, lots of birds, iguanas by the pool, raccoons roaming around and the occasional dog visitor by the beach. There’s a beautiful jungle in the center of the grounds- yes there will be some mosquitos but no more than oth

We loved our time at Playa Grande- everything exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect- right on the beach and an easy walk to town. The service, food and accommodations were all outstanding- even though they were near 100% occupancy it did not feel crowded. The gym is state of the art and the Kids Club was a big hit with our children- they said it was a lot more fun than anything they did on a Disney Cruise, which they felt was to babyish for them. Mayra who runs it is so warm and kind- the kids just loved her!

Great hotel with excellent service. Room was so clean and beautiful. In s lovely area. Highly recommend. We missed the breakfast because we were too busy exploring Mexico City but it looked outstanding

The stay I had was in a room that was between the pool and the restaurant courtyard so the noise was a pretty big issue. One day they had a PA system set up on the courtyard which was incredibly loud in the room... there was no warning of this either. Staff were very helpful even tough and the location and pool (although small and shallow) were both good.

A very clean and comfortable hotel with an amazing breakfast. The staff are incredibly hospitable and kind, but most do not speak English (best to rehearse a few sentences in Spanish if your not fluent). Only thing missing in this hotel is a pool, then it would easily be a 5 star.

I stayed for just one night with my 18 and 20 year old daughters since our cruise ported overnight in PV. So so so glad that we jumped ship and got a little beach time. The property was beautiful, drinks plentiful, food awesome (including fresh OJ and cappuccinos!) , and staff incredibly friendly. We were so sad to leave. I would definitely stay at the resort again, as it is conveniently located (and uber is CHEAP!) and it wasn't a crazy spring break crowd.

The hotel locates at the best place in playa del carmen. Staff are nice and always with a smile. You can easily access to many places in playa del carmen. However, the beach near the hotel is not good. Actually, it smells really bad. Rooms are not that comfortable and noisy outside.

First if you are over 6' you will love the showers!! Guys you know what I mean, the shower head is high enough for 6'9" to take a shower without bending over!!!!!! Food was fantastic in all the restaurants, drinks were great and people were fun. The beach bartenders were fantastic and to much fun. Sabin, queen of activities, was so nice and helpful and got all of us to participate in poolside activities/drinking games... I'm going to stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We loved this hotel - staff are fantastic and very willing to help with anything, included breakfast was a great buffet, location for exploring Mexico City is perfect. You can also hire drivers through the hotel and get a reasonable price on a hotel transfer to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.
