We had such a perfect stay. We originally booked for 3 nights but ended up extending to 7! We wanted to spend all of our remaining time there. The property is gorgeous. Bluest and clearest water we have ever seen. Swam with/kayaked with sea turtles almost every day. Free kayaks/snorkel gear/paddle boards to use. Rooms are spacious and feel quite private. Kettle. Tea/coffee supplies. Fridge. Bug repellent. All shower toiletries provided. Fresh towels every day. They spray the rooms for bugs every evening (lots of mosquitoes in Samoa!) But thankfully, very few in our room. Staff were impeccable. Youbare always greeted with gorgeous smiles. You feel genuinely well taken care of. Breakfast was great. Buffet style. Always some sort of Samoan traditional brekky item but always toasts with fixings.. cereal.. fresh fruit and yogurt. Fresh coconuts! We looked forward to breakfast! Overall, Sinalei made our Samoa experience exactly what we were hoping for. Come here and see for yourself!!

In the absence of Aggie Greys Hotel in Apia, Tanoa was the only other choice. The rooms were clean and the food served at the Hotel standard. The staff were intolerable - unprofessional from check-in to check-out - they were inattentive to guests, lacked cleanliness, was solicited by wait staff for cigarettes and money - mainly because I spoke Samoan!I felt intimidated at the hotel and in Apia when I was accosted by hotel staff at a cafe for money so that they could buy alcohol for themsleves! i would have hotel staff ring my room offering free hotel food if i would give them money or even some of my clothes - it was criminal!I could not wait to leave! Beware of the deceitful scams being run out of this hotel!It is a blight on Samoa and Samoa is preparing to host a UN conference in a few days. People beware!

New clean room and resort with tropical gardens. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location and incredible snorkelling off the resort. Perfect if you are looking for 5 star accommodation in Lalomanu

The Hotel was great! The staff were extremely helpful and their service was amazing. The food was great and our Villa was lovely. We will be returning again.

I really enjoyed staying here, the food was excellent, staff very friendly and the lagoon chalets were very nice, especially waking up in the morning. I like the natural gardens and trees about. The lagoon is nice and deep and you can swim at any time of the day without the worry of low depth. There are some nice fish that swim about and it is really close to the ferry. I didn't like the high priced internet that is common practice throughout Samoa. Also with heavy rain the Lagoon Chalets will leak around the door facing the lagoon. Otherwise a lovely place to relax and meet people.

The staff was very accommodating, which I very much appreciated. Room service was excellent. The walk in to the Apartments were beautifully designed, especially the stair case. The rooms were very clean. The property itself was lovely and very quiet. not to mention the most magnificent view from the pool. The main issues were the a/c units, none had remotes present in either the Apartment or villa (booked both), so that was a bit of a hassle. I don’t think if you have young children/ elderly that this would be an ideal place. All apartments/ villas are tiled and I was worried about the young ones slipping (samoa rains a lot). And issues with the bathroom (villa) being on the second floor (young ones/elderly) wheel chairs wouldn’t have clear access. Lastly would be the parking/ finding clear parking near your room. I’d definitely come again, it was a great stay :)

The staff here were fantastic. We enjoyed our meals and the lovely live music and vocals blended perfectly with the peaceful environment. Only a couple of things I'd change: 1) It would be good if some staff members could help control the noisy, selfish young children who dominated the pool area and made it unpleasant for adults who wanted to share this space. There are signs requesting that children be supervised by their adult families but this did not happen at all. 2) Our room was insufficiently aired. The structure was all concrete and glass so it was necessary to turn on the air con most times. We would have preferred screened, louvred windows and a powerful ceiling fan. 3) I did not have one hot or warm shower in the 3 days I stayed there. Apart from these matters, we did enjoy our stay at Le Uaina and I would recommend it to friends providing some changes were made as above.

Lupe and her staff were very accommodating and helpful. Extremely professional and attentive to whatever you might need - even offering a microwave to be put in my room due to the duration of my stay. Had a great chat and learned a lot about Samoan culture and traditions. Honest, genuine and made me feel at home and secure which there is a lot to be said about! Thank you so much Lupe and family - I will definitely recommend you to anyone I know who needs accommodation close to town. Xxx

We went a bit upmarket for a short break away, and really enjoyed this place. We rented a Eurofale which was very novel, right by the sea with soothing wave sounds and beautiful views. The bathroom was excellent, but hot water only sometimes hot! And a third bed in the little room made it very crowded - we would have been better off without that. Just so you know what to expect, the fale is not fully visually private, and certainly any sounds can be heard by neighbours. Ours wasn't very waterproof either - one night we got rained on! The staff are a delight, friendly and helpful in every way. Meals were tasty and served in lovely surroundings. The lagoon is great for swimming, snorkelling and paddling, and the location was a great base to explore the north coast by car. But we failed in our attempt to meet the friendly turtles!

This trip was a very special trip for the the both of us,Myself being born in Samoa and then at 6months being taken on a plane to New Zealand to be raised by others and until now after 50 years of separation had decided to visit the homeland of My Natural Birth Mother and Brothers and Sister with My wife who is Australian,From the time we stepped off the plane and Peter picking us up from the airport and then driving us to Le Manumea,Luna and her staff were there to greet us with hospitality and smiles.We felt welcomed instantly our room was excellent and the surroundings and the entertainment plus the food was fantastic.I Met Daniel Ray Costello here as well and a great husband and wife from NZ thanks Muzz for the kind words and Luna for the Best stay and Daniel Ray Costello for the memories also Jack who became our friend and transport to and from Apia and then to Sinamoga and last but not least MY FAMILY thank you WE WILL BE BACK.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sus accommodation. Great staff - always helpful. Perfect location - close to town. Shops/ food places. Walking distance into town. Clean accommodation. Great prices for what we got - last minute - as long as it was clean/ air conditioned rooms available.

Spent 6 days at Talofa Inn July '15. Was absolutely wonderful - would highly recommend if you're looking to get off the resort in Samoa and have all the conveniences of downtown Apia right at your fingertips. Well stocked grocery store right across the street with many cafes and shops within quick walking distance. Russell and the rest of the staff were always extremely helpful and very friendly. All the accommodations appeared brand new and were very comfy. Nice brand new showers as well - very hard to find in Samoa!

I really appreciated the time I stayed at Olivia's, felt like at home! June and Lucy are very helpful, they give you tips and informations about the island. Breakfast is delicious and include in the price. I would definitely come back here if I go back in Samoans islands. Thanks for everything!

We stayed at this resort for our last night in Samoa due to its reasonably close proximity to the airport. The owners Paul and Joan were lovely and provided us with outstanding service. Paul cooked all our food which was healthy, tasty and very good value for money compared to the other resorts we have attended in Samoa. The room, living area and facilities were very clean and modern. They offer free WiFi which is very hard to find in Samoa. All in all 10/10 would return again.

Generally, we were satisfied with our stay at Dave Parker! It's far from the city center but since we rented a car, it was ok. The hotel overlooks the whole capital but is surrounded by beautiful vegetations! However, the payment went wrong when I booked this hotel. It was said on Agoda that the payment would be made at the property when I booked it. However, the hotel charged 2 months before I checked in and what was worse was that they over charged me 100 USD and they denied that!!! Though Agoda and Booking helped me with my refund at last, it was still a very unhappy and exhausting thing to deal with. It cost me a lot of time of phone calls!!!

I stayed at this hotel the last time I visited Samoa. The rooms are being gradually renovated. The room I stayed in on the 3rd floor was new, after returning from Savaii I stayed in an older room on the 2nd floor. The staff still have that typical Samoan Friendliness, and make you feel welcome. Conveniently located on the Cross Island Road, a five minute drive from Apia. A taxi into town costs 5 Tala, about $ 2.20. Ask for the free airport shuttle to the hotel, as the international airport is about an hours drive from Apia and costs over $30 by taxi. The dining room and pool area were never crowded. This is a good choice for a budget hotel with air-condtioned rooms.

Was picked up at the airport by John. He was cold at first but warmed up after a while, it was 5am so really don’t blame him. On arrival we were given a written letter to ask if we wanted to pay 125 USD to check in early, we declined and decided to eat and relax by the pool instead. We stayed at the Sheraton afterwards and they provided a free early check-in and this left a much better first impression. The pool is great but the shape of it wasn’t the best. Cocktails by the pool on the first day where a lot better than the second day. The free breakfast was cheap and no comparison to the Sheraton buffet and wasn’t even on par with the metareva beach fale. Dinner was nice and the fish was cooked well but some parts of the meal were cold so we ate at Sinelei from then on. Much better food in my opinion though coconuts is the better looking resort. The staff were okay, other hotels had friendlier staff. Kiwi manager was very friendly though and stood out compared to the rest.

I had a memorable week staying at Aniva's Place - and it is her place! Aniva owns and runs the hotel efficiently and can't do enough to make your stay comfortable. She gave me a warm and courteous welcome despite the fact it was the wee small hours of the morning when I arrived from Australia on a 4.20am flight! My room was clean and comfortable and I always felt secure. Aniva makes her guests safety a priority. A hearty breakfast is served every morning and other meals are available on request - take the time to have real Samoan cuisine. The food is expertly prepared, tasty and Aniva and her staff more than happy to explain Samoan ingredients, recipes and customs if you choose to eat there. The swimming pool and surrounds spotless and the well-stocked bar, including bottled water, run on an honesty system. It is like being in your own home! A comfortable lounge and TV upstairs, but who wants to sit around and watch TV in Paradise? You can walk into town (downhill) but because of the heat and humidity and cheap taxis (5 Tala) I followed Aniva's advice and most days she rang me a cab. Aniva's local knowledge is worth its weight in gold and I'll return to Samoa in a heartbeat. My stay the epitome of the famous Samoan reputation for generosity and hospitality. At Aniva's Place you have everything you need at a fair price that won't bust your budget.

It was a great stay at Lupe Sina, the owners are super nice and friendly and it was an unique experience living on a tree. We were lucky that during our stay the night sky was clear! We could see million of stars and the Milky Way! Different than our beach side resort, Lupe Sina is suitable for a complete city life get away and is also a luxury way of living in the wild!

Worth every penny, don't even think twice on not booking this place. Our room was spacious it was a dream. Bathroom, amazing did I mention the shower in the garden. Food was delicious wasn't disappointed at any point. Snorkeling in resort reef was wonderful. Close to waterfalls and fale beach. Staff were welcoming and friendly. One of the best resorts we have ever stayed.

I enjoyed my stay at the Samoan Outrigger, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was fantastic with pancakes, toast, fruits and cereals. I stayed in a fala which was pleasant and I came back on my last night in Samoa and stayed in a room. The prices are reasonable and the hotel has security located out front at night so you are always safe. The only thing I didn't like and this applies to all hotels in Samoa is the internet, its expensive! $17 Tala for 15 mins. You can get a SIm from Bluesky or Digicel in town for $10 for 100mb and that is what I did.

We went as a group of 8 to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday. We loved our 2brm fales which were well serviced and beautifully located in a private setting overlooking the water. Staff were friendly and the food was great, even for us fussy foodies. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed in a beach fale for 3 nights. You can get there by bus (around 2.5 hrs) from Apia but we hitchhiked. The fale is just on the beach and facing the water, wonderful view and you can swim anytime you like, feel free to ask for snokerlling gear so you can see the fishes and coral around you. The rates include breakfast and dinner, both are in buffet style and definitely can fill you up, food is local favour and delicious! Both of us (I am an Asian & my boyfriend is from Europe) enjoyed the food so much so don't worry! Lunch is also available at $10-15tala, as you can't really cook there, so just sit back and enjoy the local food. The fale is basic but a good place to rest, covered mattress, mosquito net and a light, it is also attached to a small balcony where you can just sit and enjoy the nice view. Shower is open with curtain cover (no door) and only cold water (but that's normal in Samoa when it's so hot) There was nice dancing performances on the Saturday night we stayed and live music every dinner, you feel like you are really in paradise, with the nice music, local food, nice people and sea breeze embracing you. Attraction around is the famous Ocean Trench, about 15 minutes drive but we hitchhiked again, Samoans are very friendly and welcoming so feel free to try if you are not travelling solo. Overall we like Faofao as it gave us a homey feeling and a taste of local. No modern facilities but natural and relax atmosphere, we enjoyed our stay there very much and feel sad to leave! When we check out the resort manager offered us a ride back to Apia as they need to go to town as well, but unfortunately the car broke down at the end. But just feel free to talk to the staff anytime if you need any help, as you really need a lot of help from the locals to enjoy much of this beautiful country!

Nice place to stay but it is along way from anywhere so make sure you get a rental vehicle as its about 45km from Apia and there are no other places to go eat or shop than Apia. The food is quite pricey (depending on your currency) we where there when NZD was 1.6 to tala so not that flash when meals are up to 60 tala. If you dont have a car you have to eat there which can mount up your checkout bill. In Apia there are places you can get a good meal for around 25 Tala. Catching the bus is a fun experience takes around an hour to get to Apia from main road (resort taxi will drop you at main road for 5 tala) but still recommend a rental car as buses stop in afternoon. The room we had was very nice and cleaned each day, although we had a down stairs room and the one above you could hear the occupants every single footstep quite annoying when trying to sleep. Overall I enjoyed my stay the staff are really friendly (sometimes over friendly I got asked if I'm alright 11 times during dinner one evening!) I would return again. Our rental car suspension strut broke some where in the rural area on night on the way back from Apia (the roads are crap out of city) and a staff member from RTB who was passing by stopped and helped us out on his way home, called the rental company and helped arrange for a new car to be dropped off at resort next morning - a compliment to the staff and Samoan friendliness that act of kinds really impressed us.

A bit disappointing. We came on our honeymoon my husband had been here before when under Aggey Greys and couldnt stop gushing about the food rooms and service. On this visit no gift shop, no shows as we arrived friday night.And we checked into a white room no flowers you would not think you were in samoa. The airconditioning units blew out smelly air that made my husband sick so we got moved to another room. Went to the gym and some of the equipment doesnt work. The buffet bfast had no mango pineapple watermelon only fruits we would get in nz...poor compared to last visit. Staff and service was great. Samoa was the 3rd week of our honeymoon we came from fiji and Im afraid we will be returning to fiji next time.

Fantastic snorkelling in the lagoon. 'Dive Samoa' operates from an office across the road from Le Lagoto and can take you out to show the oral in the lagoon. Feed the fish from a landing at the resort. Swim in the pool. 'Le Lagoto' in Samoan means 'The Sunset' in English and Absolutely, the most photogenic sunsets.

This is quite an expensive resort but, that aside it was the highlight of our stay in Samoa. We stayed at 3 different hotels in Samoa and this was number 1. The staff, from the cleaners and groundsman right up to the general manager were all so accomodating. Would definetly recommend a stay here.
