I was very impressed with the welcome I received when booking in. The room was very, very clean and the quality of the furniture etc was very good. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Perhaps there was an electrical point behind the curtains, the tea tray had to be placed on the floor near a socket, perhaps I should have been more inquisitive about electrical sockets. Will stay again. I was visiting my brother who lives nearby, but does not have the space for me to stay.
Breakfast at the Doubletree Docklands is Excellent!”
My wife and I stayed at the Doubletree Docklands for 5 days for a conference. All the staff was very attentive and pleasant. They feature an excellent free breakfast with an array of choices and even a cook to prepare your eggs the way you want them. Beautiful location. Highly recommended.
Nice view in Junior Suite”
Good spread of breakfast and nice ambience in Colombia. Fantastic view of River Thames from our room. Just that I have to carry our luggage from the reception to the other side of the tower to check in our room. The lift isn’t working well from this tower and I have to carry my own luggages from the stairs. This is too much considering as 4 to 5 star hotel! Can be quite noisy if you open up the balcony door. The restaurant closed at 1am and you can still heard the guests talking and laughing loudly even after 11+pm.
Good Hotel but far from Center”
the hotel itself is very good, the rooms are nice, clean and the food is very good. however the hotel is far away from oxford st, it is around a good 25 minutes away by metro. next time i would prefer staying in a closer hotel
Brilliant stay this weekend!”
Lovely hotel and really nice staff! My family stayed there this weekend and they made their stay very comfortable and easy. Reception team were very helpful on arrival to arrange a sofa bed for my godson which wasn’t noted for some reason. Would recommend for everyone who is looking for a lovely hotel with easy access to entrap London but is located in lovely and quiet part of London just on the river!
Bad smelling, old hotel ”
This hotel is terrible. Rooms have a very foul smell, the bed constantly moves and the mattress keeps sliding off. One night the curtain fell down. It's impossible to get reception on the phone. Terrible experience, would not stay here again
Excellent customer service on check in”
Lovely hotel have stayed here before and would definately stay again. Great location as lomg as you don't mind the short boat ride over to Canary Wharf. Customer service was exceptional at check in nothing was too much trouble. Large room, comfy bed aonle gripe would be shower not great.
Very good hotel - impressive customer service”
Enjoyed our stay it was worth every penny. This hotel's greatest plus point would have to be customer service, it's staff. Everyone we dealt with was warm, friendly and fell over themselves to help. Access to london attractions was with ease as it offered a free ferry to canary wharf and then the tube. Room was clean spacious and pleasant - although bathroom was bit small and possibly dated. The breakfast buffet was really good - huge selection was available and there is an area to sit outside right opposite Canary Wharf.
Second time we have stayed here and we have found it affordable and of a good standard without the hustle and bustle of central London. Easy to get into central London from Canary Wharf using the complimentery hotel ferry. Make sure you get the ferry schedule as it shuts down for a couple of one hour periods during the day/night! Otherwise you may be stuck at Canary Wharf for up to an hour waiting for a ferry! The only real negative was on our second night when the fire alarm went off. We made our way down to reception and the hotel staff did not appear to have a clue what they were doing. I dread to think what might have happened if it was a real fire! The front desk staff were still checking people in while the alarm was ringing!
Small rooms well equipped and very helpful staff”
Good clean comfortable hotel rooms are small but well equipped. Staff are very helpful and friendly Nice small hotel bar but have two large tvs on and volume up with no one watching. Also when ordering drinks each drink arrived at different times rather then as one order up to 5 mins between each pRtu getting there drink only 3 in out group Good leisure facilities Great having costa coffee at bat
Lovely hotel but not a really great location”
The room was very comfortable, fully air-conditioned. It can be quite cold at night. The shower tap in the washroom needs more instruction. The staff is helpful. The breakfast buffet is great, with a huge variety of food. The only thing I am really unsatisfied is the location of the hotel. There's only one bus outside it. I suggest that they should provide shuttle bus between the tube station and the hotel.
Very nice hotel at very attractive price”
This hotel is not really centered however there is a shuttle taking you to the closest subway station. After this everything is simple. Built in old docks houses style, this hotel includes a large amount of rooms, small but very clean. Friendly staff.
Hilton Docklands review”
We would highly recommend the Hilton Docklands to any prospective traveller. The room was very comfortable and spacious, in contrast to some other London hotels, a feature very appreciated over our three day stay. We also had a spectacular view of the river which we greatly enjoyed since the Thames has historically been the life blood of London. Breakfast was of the high standard we expected and staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel. View on the river as requested.”
Easy access to London city center. Staff friendly. Satisfied!
Disappointed for no action of hotel staff”
I tried to call to hotel for missing bag and some clothes in hotel. Cause when we left to Paris we requested some bags and langgues in the store room in hotel. But i tried to check with hotel's front desk but they keep transferred between house keeping dept and front desk and i did not get clear answer from them and i hold the phone such a long time and called 2 or 3 times. But no answer and very disappointed.
Good location, helpful staff, small room”
Th hotel is nice with h a great location. The rooms are small and he bathroom really is tiny. What I felt was the low point of the experience was the fact that the bathroom is so small that there is no place to set down your own toiletries. The sink is just that, no vanity. The check-in and out was a little too slow too, but that was probably because they were somewhat understaffed.
Good value for the money”
Overall good value for the money. Good staff. Nice clean contemporary rooms. the bar sells a good burger. Access to the city is almost exclusively via boat.Hotel offers free boat shuttle pass to the other side of the Thames and good discounts for the speedboat to downtown that makes up for the somewhat remote location. only downside: No WiFi service in the rooms. just no signal.
Don't pay to Upgrade through Agoda.com”
I loved it. Although had other friends staying here too. I felt we were slightly 'ripped off' as I paid for an upgraded room when theirs was in fact larger and nicer. So I would suggest you don't do that. Also we were in a room which hasn't yet been refurbished but that said, it didn't look like it needed it much. The hotel was swanky. The staff very helpful.
Overpriced and lacking quality”
Room was far from deluxe and in need of modernisation. Room service did not arrive until 1800. Power went off and spent 10 minutes phoning the guest services number, no one answered. Power came back on itself, still reported it but front desk not interested. There are better quality and better value hotels in London. The location was good for us (it's where we used to live) but it's quite far from the sights.
Typical over priced tired old hilton”
Deluxe room had no fridge or drinking water in the room. It was quite small and in desperate need of modernisation. Staff are generally unhelpful ..... All in all typical Hilton. The location suited us but it is quite far from anything your average traveller wants to see ..... There are much better much cheaper in London.
