No WiFi, poor staff performance spoiled our visit”
Clean, comfortable and quiet room
We arrived late-afternoon by taxi with heavy luggage, as we are on a month-plus trip through Mexico. No one offered to help us with our bags until we had reached the top of the stairs on the second floor, as there is no elevator.
The room was nice, but not as large as we had expected. Since I had some work to do on my computer, I tried to access the WiFi, but no connection was available. I walked around the second floor of the hotel searching for a connection via my laptop computer, but none was available.
Exasperated, I went down to the lobby and requested a new room or a refund. Instead, the receptionist grudgingly provided me with a WiFi password I could use in the hotel lobby.
I asked for suggestions on restaurants that are within about a 15-minute walk of the hotel, but the receptionist said there is nothing she could recommend without a taxi. We decided to try the hotel restaurant. Like the rest of the hotel, the restaurant was void of customers. Service was slow and the food was bland.
I understand now why this hotel was so quiet and why no one goes there.

Gracious, attentive hotel with fabulous restaurant”
Quiet, first class restaurant, two warm spring facilities within easy walking distance
Very gracious and professional staff! Well maintained and clean room. In residencial area, but with the "old" hot springs facilities across the street and the newer "deportivo" with public pools, private bathes for long soaks, diving facilities, swards of green grass and large trees an easy two block walk away. The restaurant is not as formal as five years ago, but still has what we think is sumptuous food - starting with the lomo (sucking pig) and cordero (lamb). Wake up call was when it was supposed to come and airport taxi there when agreed upon. Not a formula hotel, but unique and we think special.
