a good surprise”
I have booked this hotel at the last minute. After booking I read the reviews, I felt unconfortable. Upon my arrival, I am being extremelly surprised : very welcoming and friedly staff, clean bathroom and bedsheet, safe environment and quiet room. Some investment are to be made to bring this hotel to the top level : double glazing, change of carpet etc. But their employees are friendly and kind.
No aircond, noisy, have to open window because hot weather. ”
I still confuse why i was in the hotel because i booked Ibis hotel not this hotel.
Nice Hotel, Great Location, Nice Resturants around”
My stay at the Hotel was nice and worth my time, even wanted to extend one more night but got another flight to catch lolzz. Nice location close to Gare du Nord, if u have found it for the first time, difficult to locate yet close. Identifying the name was another because it's written just HOTEL. They should name it TIM Hotel and make it known at the sign post. Other than this its location is lovely with place to eat around at a walking distance.
Great location but small rooms”
Timhotel Gare Du Nord was a great place to stay. Clean room, friendly staff, close to Indian restaurants, Gare du Nord and other Metro stops, was a perfect place to crash during long Paris nights. Easy access to all the sights, easy to get to after a long train ride, and just easy overall.
A surprising quality hotel.”
staff: very nice. room: such a surprise, there was enough space for put down two pieces of suitcase on the floor. and room was clean. location: yes, the hotel is located just direct to the rail tracks of gare de l'est. actually, i have requested for a room to the courtyard side, but instead of that i was given a room with a view to sacré-cœur and the rail tracks. but there was no problem. the night was so quiet that even for me there was no problem with getting sleep. while located behind the train station, it was really quiet part of the station area, whereas local transportation was perfect either into the city, or to cdg/ap. service: after check-out, luggage storage was available. i was really surprise about the quality of this hotel.
Beware of your Credit Card ”
I'm extremely upset that the front desk staff asked for my credit card which I used to book the hotel and he took almost 10 minutes to return it. I noticed he was photocopying my passport and maybe he also made a copy of my credit card. When I asked for my credit card, he said please wait. Three weeks after that, someone used my credit card for Euro 499.00. I didn't use or show my card to anyone else except at the front desk staff at this hotel. I don't think this is fair for someone like me who wanted to stay in a budget price. I couldn't remember his name.
This hotel is difficult to locate. It took us more than an hour to find. ”
The name " The Hotel At Gare Du Nord " should be changed to a new name.
Teddy the admin was friendly than i tought.. they are very warm and willing to share how to go from one destination to another. Good english communication skill.
Water supply and Luggage Storage”
1. The water supply of shower is weak. It takes a long time to complete bathing. 2. The store room for luggage is in the basement without lift. You need to take the luggage via stairs up and down. But, I think if you have diffculty, the staff may help as they are very nice.
I had a pleasant 4 nights stay. The frontdesk lady was friendly and spoke good English. I booked this hotel because it's about 10 mins walk from the station. The hotel has no aircon but luckily it was autuum when we visit Paris. Shower space is small and hotel is run down but overall is clean. For light-sleepers, do avoid this hotel becuase it is beside the tain tracks and the trains made loud and annoying sound early in the morning and late in the night.
GOod Location , good breakfast, attentive staff”
Good Location to Gare du Nord, Chateau Landon and La Chapelle station , easy access to all the tourist attraction in Paris eg. Eiffel tower, La fayette shopping mall. It is close to Indian street which u can find good Indian food nearby.
Lovely Hotel with very helpful staff ”
Hotel room was nice and cosy. As it was our first trip to Europe, we were not sure about some issues. The desk staff was very helpful to clear all our doubts. Thank you so much for making our trip an enjoyable and memorable one.
clean and comfortable hotel with friendly service”
i stayed for one night. the staff manning the service counter was nice and friendly. the room was a single bed room which was nice, clean and comfortable. the room had toilet and shower. it was ok for the price. one more thing, the wifi was also available - free of charge for hotel customers.
Good choice if stay is not long or NOT for luxury”
Timhotel is the ideal place to stay if it is only for a place to sleep at night. The proximity to the station is also a plus, it makes it easier to get to the hotel and get moving in the morning. The rooms are practical and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a good value for money for travelers who just want a not too luxurious place to stay after roaming around Paris the entire day.
Interesting location but thankfully we got moved”
we arrived at timhotel gare du nord quite late after an evening flight from heathrow. we walked through the streets with some pretty dodgy characters around in the streets from gare du nord station we were told the bathroom in our room was not working so they paid for a taxi to timhotel opera madeline great location, super central and close to the tube line highly recommended
Comfortable and clean”
the hotel is in a great location just a 10 minute walk from the gard du nord station and close to several railway and metro stations (within minutes of walking). there are also several supermarkets and many indian and sri lanken cages/restaurants close by, as well as a few patisseries selling great pastries and baguettes. we found all the staff to be very friendly, helpful and polite.they willingly spent time answering questions and showing us locations on maps as well as suggesting alternative ways to go or do things. our room was quite small and could probably have done with a coat of paint, but it was very clean, as were the sheets and towels. the water pressure in the bathroom was good and the water was hot! we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back or recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap but comfortable hotel in a good location. real value for money!
Basic Hotel but good position”
i booked this at the last minute as it was the cheapest room i could find that was close to the centre of Paris. Turned out to be a great position as my trains to and from Paris both left from Paris Nord station which is 5 mins walk away. The area around the station is interesting and busy, there's even a "little india" type area over a few streets with lots of indian restaurants. Didn't feel dodgey or dangerous either. Only downsides were the hotel was quite noisy, bumps and water pipes so I would recommend ear plugs if you aren't a heavy sleeper. Its also an old hotel so expect room to be spotless. Staff were very nice in general. The fire alarm was set off one morning from the baking bread in the kitchen, annoying but forgivable. If you are looking for a good budget hotel in a handy area, and you can forgive a bit of noise then this is a good choice.
It is a good hotel for budget travel, room is small but the location is good. Near train station (10 min walk). The breakfast is good and the service is good but the wifi singal is not very well in some rooms.
STAY AWAY !!!!”
We booked this hotel for a short stopover in Paris for 2 nights ! I honestly haven’t stayed at a hotel this bad my entire life. 1- Stained dirty and smelly old carpets 2- Window latch was broken / poor safety 3- Uncomfortable bed, be warned your back will break ! 4- Unclean towels and smelly bathroom 5- Poor wi-fi 6- Train runs right across it’s basically very loud all day all night 7- it’s a very dodgy area not sure about the safety even This hotel deserves a 0 star rating and completely not worth for even if you were offered to stay for free ! If you prebook in advance you can perhaps stay in a much better hotel for what we paid for. I regret not relating to previous reviews when booking, that said “run far from here” and “the bathroom smelled like a dead animal” i just didn’t think it could be so bad. Worst stay ever ! Ruined Paris for us. It was a nightmare. DO NOT STAY HERE.
The single room given to me did not match the photo on my booking sheet. The room was like a prison cell at a price of 154 euros per night. Hotel is shabby and has no facilities to justify 3 stars rating. Location may be convenient for travel but is very noisy.
