    NEVER AGAIN”

Bedbugs. Stayed here for 3 nights, and by the time I checked out, the symptoms for bedbug bites appeared. I had rashes all over my arms, and on my back as well. Never thought that this would be the exchange deal for the cheap prices.

+ Great location, room was clean enough, heater was working well, staffs were OK, they also allow us to store luggages before check in time and after check out time which was vr helpful. - Stairs are super steep 🥵

An affordable hotel in the heart of Amsterdam”

Despite mixed reviews that this hotel has received in the past my experience was positive. The room was clean with all necessary amenities and working wi-fi. The check-in/checkout were fast and simple. At night it was noisy at some times as the window was facing to the street and the breakfast was quite modest. However overall for its low price and an excellent location (15 minutes walking from the central station) I can recommend the hotel to anyone who does not fear very steep winding stairs.

    Horrible place ”

Hotel stairs is very scary, I had a bag and I asked for help from the staff and their responed was “oh it’s just two ladies here and we can’t help you”. I had to take it to downstairs on my own. Bedings was not clean and bathroom was smelly. Even though they said breakfast is include, there is littelry nothing to eat. I still wonder how they got two stars. Agoda must be responsible to put pitcutes of those stairs. Staff is not friendly at all. I would not recommend this place even to a my enemy. Please don’t go there. It’s the worst place I have ever been.

    Atrocious”

If I had paid half the price for this room I would say "you get what you pay for" but you'd probably be better off buying a tent and sleeping in the middle of the street then staying in this place.

    Mediocre place”

Hotel is ok, at best. Rooms aren't that clean, found an old soap bar in my shower. Plus there was no soap in the dispenser in the shower. No elevator was a bit of a pain after walking around all day. But the worst part of my stay was that the front desk staff tried to get me to pay again for my room when I had already paid through Agoda. It got sorted out eventually but I had to contact Agoda customer service. Nice location but I wouldn't stay here again unless I had no other option.

    An ok Hotel.”

First of all. i'm really not the type that writes reviews, however, this time The staff were really kind and helpful and I have nothing bad to say bout their service and attitude, in that sense it was excellence. However, the room was not as i expected and it was extremely small, it was expected as I read thorough other reviews however, I was still unpleasantly surprised. What shocked me the most was that there is ''no visitors'' sign which means you are the only one allowed to enter your room which is ridiculous and when I asked about that no visitors rule the answer I received was ''Amsterdam is crazy'' . Another reason not to choose this hotel is that I got bit by bedbugs all over my body, I know I sound like am complaining, once again,. i'm really not not the type that writes reviews however, I feelt I needed to give others a heads up before you choose this hotel.

    Hardly a hotel”

There was a shortage of rooms in Amsterdam last week. Hotel DiAnn wasn't cheap, but at least it wasn't priced like the Pulitzer around the corner and the location was very good, so I guessed wrongly that it would be okay. The picture on Agoda makes it look good, doesn't it .. I stayed all three nights because I didn't want to research hotel rooms again and all the hotels I was passing by while in Amsterdam were 'NO VACANCY/COMPLETE/BELEGT'. I have nothing against a simple, no-frills hotel. Hotel DiAnn does not come up to that level. This 'hotel' is one of half a dozen in the upper floors of the same building, and displays a two-star rating, which is twice as many stars as some of its neighbors were showing, and I don't even want to think about that. This one with its two stars is a string of casually carpentered rooms on the third floor of an old building of nice shops. The only way to get there is by a very narrow two-story staircase that much of humanity couldn't climb, certainly not carrying more than the minimal luggage I was carrying. If somebody has started up from the street level, you'd better not start down from the reception level, and it's going to take them a while and it's going to be hard to see them coming. Wish I could post a picture of that staircase, amazed the Dutch fire code lets this place stay in business. It is certainly dangerous. Oh that reminds me, there are exposed nails in the bannisters. I alerted a couple of desk clerks after cutting myself on one. One said she would have housekeeping take care of it, the other (the manager, I believe) just grunted. I don't think I got tetanus, but thanks for your concern. When I got to my room, the toilet wouldn't flush and the soap dispensers were lying on the bathroom floor. Somebody later managed to turn the cold water on, so I did get my toilet flushed, but the soap dispensers kept falling off the wall every time the staff replaced them. (Which was not every time they said they were going to

Location of this hotel is around 10-15 minutes walk from central station, it is a basic hotel and would recommend if only planning on sleeping in the hotel room as there are not many facilites available. Overall you get what you pay for and is not a bad place to stay if you are on a budget, could definately find better for the money though

    location, price, Halal

The walk was really high up so if you are not with a backpack and with a trolley luggage like us. It was really hard, but the hotel did get someone to help us carry the bags up to our room. The location was very close to Sentrall and we walked almost everywhere, close to anne franks house.

    Location, staff

Postives - - great staff - decent breakfast (cereals, bread, eggs, salami etc.) - decent room with a small balcony to look over - very convenient from the central station Negatives - - 2 flights of very steep stairs to get to hotel reception, in case you have any medical issues then it will be a huge problem - very dim lights in the night

    good location”

Lcation - trams to central station, or you can walk it in not much over 10 minutes. Near Dam square and lots of local restaurants. Excellent breakfast.

You climb 2 flights of very steep stairs to get to hotel reception, but once on the 2nd floor the staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, if rather soft. Wi-fi worked a little unreliably, but OK. Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. Excellent breakfast (eggs, cheese, cold meat, jams, cereals...). Central heating worked very well and I often turned it off and opened the window. I did not like were that the lights in the room were rather dim. No kettle provided, but that is often true in Dutch hotels, so bring your own travel kettle.
