Find hotels in Raghunath Temple

We were at the Hotel Raghunath for 4 days. The entire core of the hotel was being replaced; paint, floors, etc, so there were tarps and paint dust all over the place. Certain things were finished, such as the bathroom, which was marble and functional, if you could find out what button to push for hot water. The new lobby and reception will be impressive and work is going fast. For our second two nights we were moved to a larger room with a window that was much better. Coffee was provided (for a charge) in the am, but there was no food on site. However, a new small local restaurant opened day two and served excellent Indian food for very little $$. The location is truly in the middle of the shawl market and within a short walk of the R temple. Lots of 3-wheel cabs available. Jammu is a fascinating city with very few western tourists.

The location was fairly good and the staff was helpful. If I had rated the hotel before bedtime, it may have gotten four stars. However when I came back to the room that evening I found a round beetle and two earwigs in my room. Over the course of the night I encountered two more earwigs. P.S. Although I rated the food/dining, I only did so because it is a required field--rather nonsensical since many people (such as myself in the case of Vardaan Hotel) will stay at a hotel without eating there.

It is located just next to the train station. So I thought it must be very convenient to have a meal and to go shopping. But there was not a nice restaurant around there and shops that I expected. But the room of the hotel itself is very wide and clean.
