Reasonable choice for accomodation”
The staffs who work in day-time are old local Koreans, can only communicate in very simple English. Young staffs there work from the evening. *Curfew at 12am (If you don't ask them when checking-in, they might forget to tell you =.=) *Wifi not working good, kind of slow *If choosing dormitory, you shower in a shared bathroom. Means you shower together with others. It is not recommended to those who are not ready to be naked in front of the others. *Google map shows that it's 2 stations away from Hanok Village by bus, but the interval of buses is so long, so might as well walk there, takes only 15 - 20 mins. *The place might look creepy as it actually is/was a medical center, but rooms are clean and quite.

Old-style hostel but close to shopping/cinema and very functional”
Located on the upper floors of a building, it's an old-style hostel complete with a midnight curfew (2 am during the film festival). Plenty of toilets/sinks/showers (communal). Just a few-minute walk from the main shopping and cinema area of town. Rooms facing the road can be noisy, and bubble wrap on the windows obscures what would be a nice view. Staff will get you in and out, but they don't speak any English.

A little creepy”
Cheap price until you realize there are 8 beds. The rooms are spacious, but there are no lockers to store your belongings. Heater and ac in the room is great, but my lights had a twitching problem which was scary at night. There use to be another lock on the door that was removed so now it's stuffed with a paper towel so a little scary if someone removes it because they can peek inside. There's another door in the room that has a view, not sure why it's an a extra room, but it's small and cold. Walls are thin, you can hear everything happening outside in the hallway. Bathrooms are not private especially the shower so be prepared. They charge for towels and there's no breakfast. I honestly wouldn't stay here again.

Acceptable for 1 night”
The staffs are incredibly nice and welcoming you. This hostel has many toilets.
I stayed at Jeonju JK Guesthouse (JK Youth Hostel) with last minute booking because I have unplanning stop over in Jeonju. Therefore, I booked online with the cheapest result since I'd only stay for 1 night and JK Guesthouse was the one. The hostel is located at big building on 4th floor for woman and elevator available. No locker and no socket on each bed, only at some point on floor. I came on Monday, so the guesthouse is very lonesome. Staying alone in 8beds dorm and I only saw 1 room with light on. The corridor lamps using movement sensor, so it's very dark and they will start blinking when you're walking. So, I felt little bit spooky. Many toilets are available and clean. But the shower room is 'public bathroom'. It means no divider, no curtain, no door, just big room with many shower. It was okay for me since I was alone but I can't imagine the awkwardness if its full of people. The staffs are very nice, they're very welcoming and trying to help you as much as they can. Walking distance to Jeonju Hanok Village (20 mins of slow walking) with just following the stream/river, so easy.

Youth hostel in good location”
location, price, room comfort
We are a group of friends consisted of women and men. We booked a family room so we can all stay together but when we arrived at the hostel, the owner says it is the rule not to have different gender sleeping in the same room. We will not rent this place if it was not a last minute trip and we could not find other accommodation during our visit to Jeonju.

Too noisy”
Close to Gaeksa
I visited there for the jeonju film festival. It's reslly close to Gaeksa (downtown) and not so far from Hanok-village. But was too noisy to sleep, because there were many young group people when i stayed. They should've told them the basic rule for staying.

Good stay”
Cleanliness. Comfort. Well located in terms of being close to shops and tourist attractions such as the hanok village.
It was difficult to find and without the help of a friendly man, we would not have been able to find the place by ourselves. The staff do not speak very good English which makes the situation difficult when asking for help or guidance. The rooms and bathroom were clean and the kitchen facilities were on the same floor as we stayed on which made it easy to get tea and make breakfast in the morning.

Super cheap, but you get what you pay for”
Price, location, clean beds
Very uncomfortable experience overall. The only reason I ended up here was because everything else in town (hanok, hotel, other hostels) was fully booked. 1. I booked & paid through Agoda, but staff had no record whatsoever of my booking & payment when I arrived. Fortunately, I was able to work out something with my limited Korean. 2. There is absolutely no sound insulation (from outside street traffic, between floors, through closed doors), and youth activities seemed to be scheduled in the building through 11pm both nights I stayed. The youth were extremely loud, shrieking and running through the halls day and into the late night as well. Bring earplugs! 3. Windows over the doors to the hallway plus super-bright fluorescent lights in the rooms means it'll be hard for light-sensitive people to sleep. Bring an eyemask! 3. The only upsides to this hostel are its cheap price and its easy walking distance to the much more expensive Hanok Village district (about 15-minute walk for me).

Clean room and facilities but Confused Staff”
Clean room, clean bathrooms, quiet
The JK Guesthouse is a large Youth Hostel, but the staff isn't prepared to welcome travellers. They speak no English whatsoever, and they are very confused. They gave me a key to a room with no bedding at all, and I had to make several trips down to the check-in counter to get things sorted out. A friend of mine who was staying there longer was checked-out without her consent, and her personal belongings were moved from a room to another while she was in town for the day. I wouldn't recommend this Youth Hostel; for a similar price, a guest house closer to the Hanok Village, or to the downtown area, would be more pleasant.

budget hostel”
location and price
When I stayed the hostel was not busy. I had an 8 bed dorm to myself so it was very quiet. It is definitely no frills but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is also only 5 mins walk from downtown and maybe 10-15 to the hanok village. The showers are communal so that may not be to everyone's taste. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Huge room, value for money, free wifi
Stayed there for 3 nights. The security guy tried opening my door in the middle of my second night there which freaked me out! The place was quite deserted too, there were only 2 rooms occupied the entire floor. So it was quite creepy at night. Other than that, it was very value for money. Didn't really like the open concept shower area though.
