Beautiful location, beautiful building, comfortable room lovely food good service.
Such an interesting experience as the hotel fekt like a house and i was a guest.”
I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom.
The location and surroundings are great. The hotel public spaces are gracious and elegant with some great paintings and antique furniture. Our bathroom was large and well provided with all that a good bathroom needs. The bedroom was tiny and overfilled with furniture which made getting to the far side of the bed quite tricky. There was only one chair in the room so we had to sit on the bed when we drank the lovely sherry that was provided in the room. The matress was quite comfortable but the pillows were hard The dining room staff was welcoming and worked very hard to meet all our needs. It was disappointing that our choice of breakfast dish from the menu was not actually available. Not their fault. By contrast four or five chamber maids were happily sitting and chatting away in a cozy group on the upstairs landing
A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our room was spacious and attractive, with superb views. Every room was decorated beautifully, and the art collection was an added bonus. Breakfast and lunch were good, but we were not entirely happy with the dinner options. The menu needs to be worked on. Most of the staff were excellent, with only one appearing a little amateurish. On the whole a beautiful hotel.
Top of the Range”
Highest quality assured in a spectacular ancient monument. Light airy and spacious the room I was in had everything needed. Coffee on order arrived at 6am hot and fresh. Lovely staff and a setting to die for in the middle of the Brecon countryside. Views to the Beacons and the Black Mountains just spectacular. Best of all are the Green credentials of the current management team. Cant wait till I can get there again!
Absolutely fantastic place. Staff were brilliant, particularly Chris, from the moment you arrived made to feel like royalty! Setting is wonderful and the actual hotel like a miniature Downton abbey!
We enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and interesting Hotel. There is an eclectic collection of fine and interesting furniture and artworks. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent. Only the weather was cold, snowy and windy!!!
Lovely Llangoed Hall”
Llangoed Hall is a captivating place. The grounds and building are beautiful, and met our expectations from the website and pictures very well. We especially enjoyed dinner on the grounds, with aperitifs in the grand room before sitting in the dining room for a multi-course dining experience with first class service. For our trip, this was our planned special night, and Llangoed Hall and the staff made it happen - this was indeed our special night.
Wonderful place, stunning old style”
Not ideal for children... Very elegant restaurant! Very nice and friendly service
Quite superb in every way .Would love to visit again but afraid that the stairs are a bit of an obstacle for someone pushing 89 who is not as nimble as he was some years ago. Should there ever be a lift installed please let me know.
We found everything to our complete satisfaction. The location was idyllic; the accommodation and ambience of the hotel was perfect; and the courtesy and attention of all the staff was beyond criticism, including the garden staff, who were more than willing to engage with my wife to discuss her horticultural interests and their organic garden regime! We will certainly be returning guests.
peaceful and relaxing”
