First opening its doors more than four decades ago, this hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment to offer guests a more comfortable experience. Piccolo Hotel is less than 500 meters from both the train and the bus station, making it easy to drop your luggage and head into the city without wasting any time. With a history spanning hundreds of years, history buffs will be fascinated with the well-preserved ruins. The city is famous for its Roman architecture - especially the Basilica of San Zeno Maggiore, arguably the best surviving example of Romanesque architecture in Italy today. Other must-see attractions include the Arena, Piazza delle Erbe, Lamberti Tower, and Porta Borsari. Although there is no restaurant at the hotel, there is a free shuttle service to the Lido Restaurant which is found in the sister hotel. Close to several attractions, Piccolo Hotel makes for a comfortable stay when exploring Verona.

Hotel was overpriced, 506 euros for 5 nights. We had stayed in similar hotels in Europe and cost about £400. However, the cleanliness in the hotel was excellent, special mention for Sarah who tended to our room 120. Breakfast was ok but scramble eggs served cold was not good.
Convenient and economical ”
We stayed one night and were very satisfied with our accommodations. Short walk from the train station, which was important for us. Clean, quiet and good breakfast.
The only good thing was the gym”
This hotel is close to the train station, but not to the tourist attractions. The room was small and dark and the bed was like sleeping on a rock. The walls were also paper thin and you could hear others showering. The staff (not all but mostly) were rude and unfriendly. All in all very disappointed I spent my money here. Thank god it was only one night. The gym, however, was well equipped. Which is nice if that’s your thing.
An ok hotel”
Nothing special about this hotel. it's located pretty far from the tourist area, Although its 10 minutes walking from the central station. The breakfast in in medium quality.
Nice hotel but outside of the city”
+ big bathroom + terrace + friendly staff + breakfast was ok - location - small room
modern, clean hotel at a great value ”
It's very clean, modern interior, we paid abit more for the bigger room. Security camera at the entrance made us feel safe. 20mins walk to historical centre and mere 10mins away to train station. We had the breakfast but never went for it. The hairdryer is powerful, the shower is the best we ever had in Italy, nice big bathroom. The staff are ok.
Value for money”
Great. The hotel is close to the train station and the room is clean and big for the money that we paid. The breakfast is good to start off the day.
Near to the train station”
Basic clean hotel that was good for our 1 night stay.
Value for money”
will go back
A bit expensive ”
Day shift lady in the concierge was very friendly; old guy manning the nights, not so. Would have been real value for money but one serious issue- their internet provider requires that you sign in using either your facebook or gmail account. Plus it asks that you allow the service yo access your account even when you are OFFLINE. You can opt out of this but then you wont be able to use the internet. Such a big privacy issue.
Good city hotel”
Very clean and quite territory, good stuff, 15 minutes walk to the center
Honestly speaking: the price is too hight”
As we traveled with aim to see most of the places this hotel is well situated. Everything is near: shops, bars, sightseeings, e.t.c. As for the price - it is too hight for such hotel. But thisi is Italy)
10 Min walk to train station, nice breakfast”
It is within 10 min to train station even I have a huge luggage with me. Breakfast is nice, helpful staff. There is a charge for wifi. I did not try coz no signal in my room.
Very far away”
No shop nearby, super not convenience. Need to walk 10 mins to the railway station. Room is average, quite old fashion. The breakfast is good and lot of choices (I like its coffee machine). You need to walk more than 30 mins to achieve the main scene in Verona and hard to take any transportation tool.
All was very nice!!”
I have nothing to complain about this hotel. But the key was a bit difficult to open
Close to train station”
The hotel was within walking distance to the train station. It was also about a 15 minute walk to the city center. The room was pretty small but clean. Had a private bathroom and mini refrigerator. The included breakfast buffet was great. Better than the other hotels we stayed in. There was a charge for wi-fi, and it didn't even work in our room. My husband had to sit in the hall in order to connect to the internet. The hotel has free parking. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the place.
Clean and Tidy place”
Its convenient to reach, only 10 minutes walking distance from Verona Train station. When you gonna check at the reception, they would give you a free Verona city-map, and welcome to answer your questions. The room is clean and tidy, with lcd tv. And the included breakfast is quite nice. We got there at 1:30pm that day, but they won't let us get the room at once, as they said "the check-in time is at 2pm".. that's a bit straight in rules~
Great breakfast and Great location”
great location, just 10 min in walking from the train station. it is prefect for me because we arrived verona at mid night by train. but a little bit far away from old town, around 30 min by walking. the breakfast is great, with fruit, coffee, bread, ham and chesse. the room is small but very clean. making a local call from the phone at the lobby cost 1 eur, we are only informed of the charge during check out.
lovely hotel, ok location”
the hotel was ok... the location was pretty nice, not to far from the center, about 20 min by foot and not to far to all the exits needed... like lake garda, and the exits to milano and venice big supermarkets not far.. could be nicer if there was reception in piccolo and not martini...
