Decent Value in an Overpriced Town”
This was an old ghetto building that has been restored. They did a great job, although clearly, people still smoke in the non-smoking rooms. I slept well, and the staff was quite friendly.

          A surprisingly pleasant stay”
Despite it not being a chain this motel had very nice accommodations for a great price. Room was quite spacious; TV selections were good. Breakfast was basic and location was great. Best part was staff - extremely helpful and pleasant!

          Very good”
Staff was really great, however didn't think it needed to be called a boutique motel. The beds had awkward plastic bedding underneath the sheets. For almost $400 a night was disappointing and would stay somewhere else with better beds next time.

Old Cheap motel sold as "Boutique"”
Outside entrances facing the parking lot. Not a safe feeling. Courtyard pool filled in as a smoking area. Not really close to downtown. Across from a Taco Bell if you want dining in your room. Room has a small flat screen and TINY bathroom. Clean but cheaply done. Stark Lobby area. I knew it was a mistake when we pulled in.

          A work in progress”
The place is in final stages of renovation and while they are going for a sort of retro-ish boutique some things are just a bit off. Too much furniture in the room requires stumbling over the coffee table. Bright yellow bath tub with purple walls. The a/c was super loud and kept the bathroom freezing while the rest of the room slightly cool. I paid extra for a "balcony" which was just the walkway outside second floor rooms at the top of the stairs. Rooms at the side did have balconies.

          ??”
Seems to be under construction - compared to others in the area, was a good value.

clean.close to downtown. cheapest price in town.”
          location.price.clean&functional
It is an old old rundown motel. But the room was clean and no smells. The tv microwave refrigerator heater/ac toilet shower sink door locks lights all worked fine. 1 mile from downtown and with the pedestrian walkway through the tunnel into downtown you could even walk to all the downtown places if you have 15 minutes to spare and the weather is nice. Better than trying to park downtown. McDonald's right across the street makes up for no coffee station in the room. Staff was very friendly. For the absolute cheapest price close to downtown asheville I was pleasantly surprised at the value for the price. If you want the nicer room stay at the Sheraton 4 points for 3 times as much. If you just want decent and cheap this is it.
