Bath City Centre hotels & places to stay

From the moment our car approaching the hotel the hotel staff is coming up to gree us, smooth checking in, valet parking, handling our luggages to each room, showing us the hotel facilities, guiding us to each rooms, showing our point of interests and providing guidance with local map. When we use the hotel mineral hot spring bath pool the staff provide us with bathing suite with very reasonable price for one of our family member did not pack his swim pants. There's one staff at the pool to provide guidance and assistance with towels and drinks that make us the most relaxing family bath experience. But the best is yet to come, after we retire to our room, ready to sleep, I suddenly felt ill due to catching cold while walking over cold ocean water at Mt. St. Michael and ate disagreeable food on the road during the day before arriving hotel. I called house keeping service to bring hot water and 2 extra bath towels to my room. Within 3 minutes, one gentleman brought 2 bath towels to my room, after knowing I felt ill, he adjusted the thermo in my room to make sure I'm in comfortable warm temperature after he left then the second gentleman walked in with set of hot water, he poured and set the hot water table near where I seat after he make sure I'm comfortable then left and closed the door behind him. The kind words and gestures of the night house keeping staffs makes me so grateful. After taking medication I brought from home with me and a good night sleep, I was fully recovered in the morning and able to continue our traveling in UK. From the moment we approaching the hotel until the moment we leaving the hotel, the hotel staffs are always there ready to give assistance. It's this kind of human experiences that makes this place the most uniquely outstanding.

Best apartment that we booked and stayed at bath. Very well equipped room with a full kitchen. The room is very huge with a small corridor connecting the main room and the toilet after the main door. The toilet has a bathtub too. After entering the main room, we felt like home sweet home. The room is with a king size bed, a small living room with a dining/dressing table and there is a door connecting to the kitchen to the back of the main room. As for the kitchen, it is very well equipped with fridge, freezer, dish washer, oven, microwave, kettle... whatever you need in the kitchen, you have it!! Excellent! Love this apartment!! Must book!

Great hotel in Bath City. Walking 3-10 min distance to main attraction, shopping and restaurant. Well decorate in classic old style but very clean. Good breakfast and service.

Great location, 5mins walk to Roman bath and short walk to bath city shopping area. Bath city is small, walking distance to everywhere. Professional and friendly staff, Clean and comfortable rooms. A huge supermarket just beside the hotel. For drivers, overnight parking capped at £15.

Perfect location though and easy access to city center of bath. Service was great and very helpful. No elevators, wifi, and dining area is closed, but the bar was open and it was fairly cheap. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and spacious, with a 4 poster bed with lovely bedding, tea and coffee facilities, and there was a bathtub. Over all we had a nice time staying at Red car hotel.

Amazing spot to be in the city centre. Rooms are clean, service was exemplary! So glad we booked this hotel for our mini break.. it was the perfect spot! Thanks to the Harrington Team :)

Friendly and helpful welcome. All facilities of a very high standard. Comfortable quiet rooms. Within minutes walk from city centre but in a very quiet, attractive street. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Hotel in Bath. It is very conveniently located right next to the train station, making the location very good for us. It is also so close to a lot of the sites of the city. The highlight was the breakfast, which was absolutely amazing! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Bath.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windsor Guesthouse. Greeted with coffee/tea and friendly staff who helped to bring our luggage to our room. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean, comfortable, and home-like. Walking distance to city center Bath. Worth the stay.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Bath and The Ayrlington House was a nice little find. About a 10 minute walk from the baths and just out of range from the tourist buses that gather in the city centre, it was easy to get to many districts of town on foot. The bedroom, large yard, and breakfast room were all nice, however the fixtures and furniture were a bit dated (mounted hair dryer, older model kettle). We tend to gravitate to more clean, modern accommodations, so we were surprised by some of this, though I'd imagine many travellers aren't bothered by older carpet, smaller beds (queen UK/double US), and traditional designs. Everything was clean and service was courteous. On a busy, tree-lined street of similarly large (former) homes (current hotels), this felt like a cozy B&B experience. Breakfast was a good fry-up. Guests were invited to enjoy drinks in the parlour, check-in was quick, and parking was free in front of the building.

Very close to Bath city centre, clean and comfortable hotel but be watch out for £5 per day for roadside parking. Amazing breakfast and wonderful staff. Definately would recommend.

Really lovely hotel in a perfect location a few minutes walk from the city centre. Staff were friendly and welcoming and breakfast was delicious and plentiful to cure of us a slight sore head from Saturday night. Only downside was the shower was not very hot.

When I first walked in I thought what have I done? I wish I’d paid more to stay somewhere nicer. On reflection I think I was being too quick to make judgement. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk into the centre of Bath, the staff were friendly, breakfast was basic but all you need (toast, cereal, fruit and boiled eggs) and the room was clean. The cons are that the furnishings are extremely basic and dated so if you want something that is anything like luxurious this is the wrong place to be. If you want something that ticks boxes in a good location that won’t break the bank, this is a good option. No parking but I paid £15 to park in the cricket club car park for 24 hours which is just a couple of minutes walk away.

everything has, they even offered free coffee and tea.The price is worth . The location is nice. But if you want to put your luggage before or after check in, you need to pay. Because downstairs is bar, so at midnight is noise. Anyway it is quite good place to stay one night in Bath.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Delicious breakfast, with plenty of choice. Friendly, accommodating staff and owner... made an effort to make guests feel comfortable. Close to Bath city centre... loved our weekend away! :-)

We stayed here for a night with family whilst celebrating a 21st birthday. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We were offered coffee on arrival and shown were to park the car. We had booked parking for the two days so we could walk the 10 minutes into Bath without the car. Rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful with blueberry pancakes, cooked breakfast and loads of fresh orange juice. Would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants a comfortable retreat in the centre of Bath.

We really enjoyed Dream Stays in Bath. It had the perfect location. It was well decorated and comfortable. Only slight negative, no air conditioning, but there was a fan. We would love to come back.

We were pleasantly surprised that this 5 star property had won so many awards and we now know it deserves all the awards and more. Check in was a breeze and we were made to feel at home with cakes and tea brought to our room as we settled in. Tony provided us with all the neccessary information on the sights and dining options in the city center. This 5 room property is excellent and close to the city center. A park around the corner and its location in a quiet street makes it a perfect base. Parking is available in front of the hotel. Breakfast was better than any 5 star internationl chain hotel and served in a bright airy room with a view of the garden. We did not feel as if we were staying in a hotel but in a friend's home and this was the most comfortable and wonderful stay we had.

Have stayed here twice before and its a fabulous hotel in a prime location walking distance to the city of Bath. The bedrooms are small but cosy and the breakfast is very good. Lovely place.

Fabulous place to stay to enjoy then delights of bath. Very quirky hotel with great facilities. Only marked down slightly on cleanliness as we found an old dirty makeup brush hidden under the bed. Fantastic hotel.

A point less only because there is no pool or spa facilities and there is only one bottle of water free in the room but the price of stay is very affordable and reasonable. Z hotel Bath is an excellent hotel. Very comfortable, staff are friendly, the place is clean and smells nice, has complimentary cheese and wine at night, very accessible and right at the city centre. The room is modern with free wifi and loads of tv channels. Great night sleep.
