Stayed at Colonial Resort for 4 very pleasant nights. Rooms were recently refurbished, clean and big comfortable 2 x queen beds. Location a little further away from shops and restaurants but everything in Cairns is only 5-10 minute drive so this was not an issue. The only negative was the buffet breakfast was below average. Would like to see more varieties and better quality food especially if staying for longer period.

Welcomed with smiles from all staff. Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable. Quiet resort accommodation centrally located to amenities. Definitely will return back and recommend this accommodation for those with or without children, great value for money.

Resort staff are great. Housekeeping staff are so friendly. The only thing bad was the wifi connection and no microwaves in the rooms. The pools were great and the kids loved playing on the slides. Great little place to sleep for 3 nights.

We booked a studio apartment but it was just the same as a hotel room, there was no microwave no sink and it was a basic room. We were very disappointed and complained to reception. They gave us the Executive Suite which was absolute luxury! We had a courtyard and exclusive entrance to the swimming pool, a massive bedroom with King size bed, a spa bath in a huge bathroom and separate toilet, a lounge and dining table and chairs. We had a great time staying there for two nights.

Well organised resort”

We enjoyed our stay at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort. Our room was right nect to the laundary and there were a little bit of smell coming out of the drainage which we had to leave the windows open during our stay.

If your room is on the main pathways can be a bit noisey. Will stay again but will request a room off the main pathways.

Despite consistently putting the “do not disturb” sign, I was consistently disturbed by the housekeeping every day before 9am and sometimes twice a day. Wifi never worked my entire stay. Pools are very cold and have mosquitos even during the day. Pictures make it look nicer than it is as it is now a bit old and run down. Very far from everything. Staff didn’t even help me with my heavy bags. Wouldn’t honour the price I paid on agoda when I had to extend my stay one night. Walls extremely thin and can hear kids yelling just outside my room. I would pay a few extra dollars to stay elsewhere.

Lovely Staff all, amazing garden and nice pool side bar $10 cocktail . Lovely reading corner, big playground for kids the bathroom needs to be cleaned up some mold shower head is fixed, cant adjust the water beam or angle Breakfast is good enough but coffee is awful, not from a machine.

Restaurant white man manager is Very unqualified,when talking with white man look so good, but when i asking "could i change to Thursday promotion, he ask me： what day is it ? " I booking three day breakfast and No change in the same breakfast everyday
