"Great location. It’s in the city center. Near baguio market and Harrison road. They’re very strict in terms of check in time unlike other hotels in baguio they did not allow us to check in even an hour before the check in time. It’s a smoke free property..as in no designated smoking area! Lol! if you’re a smoker, better find somewhere else. There’s no smoking area even in the vicinity."

"All the staff and personnel are very courteous, attentive and helpful. The service is prompt and precise. The lobby is simple yet elegant and very welcoming. I love all the furnishing of the room especially the tiles used on the walls and the bathroom. It adds to the clean and relaxing ambience of the room. Though I'm a bit disappointed with the balcony because it"s so small and the view is not really pleasant to the eyes. But all in all it's still one of the best hotel in Baguio at a reasonable price too. "

"The private unit is located in Baguio's premiere hotel. It was very clean and comes with all the basic amenities. Staff was kind, helpful and efficient. The unit owner responds quickly, was accommodating of requests, and would always check on our status during our short stay. Although check in time was supposedly 2pm, the room was not ready inspite of us getting there past 3pm. The owner was responsive in following this up with the management. We don't remember seeing a phone in the unit such that calls for room service had to be made from the house phone just outside the hallway. Overall, we had a pleasant and wonderful stay during the holidays. We would definitely stay here again. "

"With a large group of family members (grandparents, children and grandchildren plus in-laws) visiting Baguio, I am afraid of not meeting their expectations especially on accommodation but Baguio Vacation Apartments more than meets our expectations (although the stairs are a bit tiresome to climb for the senior citizens). They have spacious bedrooms, dining, sala and kitchen (plus the use of gas, other kitchen equipment and utensils). Best of all the grounds infront made our family bonding worthwhile."

"Staff is accommodating. We arrived in Baguio before 3am ang nowhere to stay since our check-in time is 2pm. I called the staff if we can just add fees to our extra stay since we arrived until before lunch. Fortunately, we were accommodated with an hourly charge of 100php until 10am (Other guests might come in beyond the time and to allow cleaning the room) at a Family Room unit. Studio type rooms are fully- booked. Facilities are good. Heater is working. Flat screen TV with digibox is available. Small fan is just fine since the weather is already cold. The whole building is clean with water dispenser at every floor. There is no elevator but family rooms are nearly at the 2nd floor. The location is not close to tourist spots though we were able to get a cab in a short while. You can also dine in at 'ChiQueen' near the area which is open 24/7."

"Without batting an eyelash, Paladin tries and succeeds in approximating the hospitality enjoyed by Baguio visitors decades ago, long before the city deteriorated into a crass and congested destination. Being treated courteously and well by hotel staff in Baguio is now seldom heard about, except if one pays big money in five star accommodations. If only for the genuinely warm treatment, the price one pays for lodging at Paladin suddenly becomes reasonable. The thougtful amenities are also worth raving about. For a hotel of this modest stature, one gets complimentary bottled water, slippers, bathroom supplies and use of a personal in-room vault. The long ascent by steep stairs to the receiving area is a challenge to PWDs and certainly, to elderly guests. There is no other recourse for the receiving staff but to make sure they are polite and ready with smiles if only to soothe tired legs and frayed nerves brought about by that huff and puff climb. If only they could hasten check in procedures and not subject guests to an interminable wait as so many things had to be written down. Surely there is a more efficient, even automated way to give out breakfast coupons and get data from registering guests without making them wait in line too long. They need to rest from the long trip, or that staircase challenge."

More about Baguio

The City of Baguio is an inland hill station on the island of Luzon in the Phillipines. Set in the Cordillera Mountains, Baguio has been a favorite hot-season escape for more than a century. Budget travelers are the biggest draw here, but the fresh air and cooler temperatures at 5,000 feet above sea level can appeal to all. Most travelers arrive via Loakan Airport from Manila. Buses from the city arrive in about six hours.

Camp John Hay is one of the city’s most interesting attractions. The camp was once the recreation center for the US Air Force during World War II as well as the site of the Japanese surrender. Today it serves as a resort and golf course. A similar recreation center would be Tam-awan village which looks at the lives of the area’s original inhabitants. Bell Church is where a fusion of Eastern and Western faiths are observed and is a recommended site to visit.

Baguio is also a university town, meaning there are plenty of bars and dance clubs as well as crowds of younger Filipinos. The commercial outpost has an SM Mall and a host of restaurants, including popular fast food joints and local eateries.
