"the staff in the hotel is really helpful and friendly and most of them speak pretty good english. you can get taxi from the hotel at any time, the staff will assist. the rooms are very comfortable, new furniture, very clean. the food is quite nice too and there is a 24 hour in room dining service. the pool has very nice lighting at night. and i loved the gym, the equipment is brand new and most of all you can access it at anytime using your key card! that applies to steam and dry sauna too. i've never seen a hotel with a 24-hour access to such facilities before. i found this to be absolutely impressive! there aren't many cons really. i stayed in this hotel total of 3 times and only problems i experienced was with channeling the tv, it shows "channel unavailable" message quite often, but i've managed to figure out how to deal with this eventually. that and the housekeeper turned off the fridge one time (i guess she thought i wasn't using it) but i had fruits there that went bad. i addressed the issue to the staff and they apologized deeply (and even offered to replace the fruits), this problem never happened again. overall this is probably the best hotel in bangkok!"

"this is by far one of the best hotels in bangkok when you look at it overall. it has a friendly staff, with excellent restaurants and dining options such as mexican, italian, indian, thai, etc. each of the restaurants are one of the best in thailand in their respective cuisine. rooms are a little old and bath-tub shower is a little put-off. but overall its excellent!"

"I'm hard to please, but this was a 5 star stay. We were upgraded to the higher floor category. I'm not sure if the room was any nicer than their standard room but it was nice for us. Our room was fantastic. I read some slightly negative reviews but honestly, from what we experienced, if you complain about the quality here, there is no pleasing you. Agoda is really bad at giving 5 stars to hotels that don't deserve it, but Amari deserves it. Our room was big and very comfortable. The only complaint I could possibly have was the TV reception was grainy, but we didn't watch TV that much so we didn't care. The gym was one of the best hotel gyms I've ever seen. They even had racquetball courts. The pool was a little small for as big as the hotel is but it is very tropically themed and was really nice to relax by. Great pool bar with typical but delicious pool bar food. The dining was great too. We ate at 3 of their venues. The underground pub was perfect for a beer and a steak. They had an outdoor/indoor bar/restaurant that we had some excellent appetizers at. They had a DJ playing there on the outside portion of the deck. Their breakfast was bountiful. One of the best in Bangkok. It was expensive, but it had everything you could ever want. I would suggest you get the room without the breakfast and just use their breakfast buffet for special occasions as it was too much for everyday. There was so much food that you couldn't sample everything unless you had a voracious appetite and then you'd leave Bangkok 20 lbs heavier. The area is why this hotel is cheaper than other comparable hotels. It's a little further off the beaten path. It's in the middle of Bangkok's discount mall and clothing center. If you want cheap shopping, it doesn't get much better. Traffic is horrendous, so the only expeditious mode of travel is by scooter. It's a 10 minute walk from all forms of train."

"we stayed in the baiyoke sky hotel in bangkok for one night at the end of travelling around thailand for two weeks. it was a great experience. the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was luxurious, the views amazing and the choice of restaurants/food was vast. if you are planning on doing some shopping in bangkok this hotel is ideally situated not far from the mbk shopping centre - great for some bargains. the baiyoke sky does a free shuttle service to and from the centre. one downside was the location - if you wanted to venture out to eat you had to get a taxi as there were no good restaurants within walking distance (although there was a few mcdonalds/kfcs for fast food convenience). having said that, getting a taxi/tuc tuc around the city is so cheap - around 100-150 bhat (£2-3) for a 20-30 minute taxi ride - you can't really complain! although the lobby and bedrooms were luxurious and modern there were some areas of the hotel that are in need of some renovation. for example, the pool/gym area - decorated a bit like a kids zone didn't quite fit in with the rest of the elegant decor. overall, i would recommend the baiyoke sky hotel although book online in advance for better deals as the rates on arrival is very expensive. "I enjoyed the stay at the Continent. It clearly follows a successful formula for Bangkok of providing a sophisticated product that comes across as having all the frills. The staff we genuinely hospitable and very efficient and professional and were helpful throughout which is a standard for all the better hotels in Bangkok. Ftether than that I would say my experience of the staff was on a par with hotels that might be charging a rate of 50% more. It does not really have the size and scale to feel like a 5 star property, I think that it is better classed as a very good quality boutique 4-star hotel. The rooms like the above indicates were well thought out with sexy design elements and fairly good quality fittings and maintenance but uses a lot of clever design ideas to mask the fact that they are not in fact all that large hence my reluctance to agree that it is a 5-star property. That said it was a quality and enjoyable experience staying in the room. Certainly for the price the hotel delivered plenty of value and is an easy recommendation to friends and family who want to stay. -there also was not much sign of any of the sleaziness that can be evident in other hotels in Bangkok."

"When I first enter the room, I found little pieces of food on the table, so I called the operator to ensure if my room has been cleaned before. I actually don’t mind removing them by myself but I was concerned about the hygiene due to Covid-19 situation. The operator said that she has no idea, she needed to ask the housekeeper. Then, another staff visited my room to pickup the pieces of food. He apologized and left. I asked if my room has been cleaned or not. He said it was an empty room and he has no idea about it. After I checked out and left for an airport. I found my ID card missing, so I called back to the hotel front. I told them that I do need the ID card to take a flight that morning and requested to have a housekeeper checking for the ID card in my room. The operator told me he will do so and call me back. It’s already another day. I’ve been back home after a very difficult situation at the airport. I never get a call. Actually, the hotel is nice and fully facilitated. The room is kind of small but lovely and convenient. The location is good. The promo price is the best. All the staff treated and talked to me very politely. But, their service is obviously careless. I hope they mind this review and improve. Then, it would be very perfect."

"This hotel is a 'real' 5 star hotel. I've stayed in three 5 star hotels in Bangkok prior to Grand Centre Point. This beats them all. The staff are fun and consistently polite to guests. They play with the children interact with the guests and add a nice feel to the hotel. Breakfast had flavourful, good quality produce which was great for 320baht if you don't include breakfast in your booking. The design of the hotel is stylish and modern plus the view from our 26th floor room was amazing. You could see Bangkok for miles. head to the pool with a glass barrier around the outside where Bangkok can be seen... as well as heard quite well! One problem with it was the gym it was a little empty however you don't really spend your time in a gym! One last problem was the Spa area. I really wanted to just go inside and see it before I booked anything however this was prohibited. Even when no one is using it you still can't have a look with a member of staff."

"I really enjoyed my stay here and am already booked to go back two times. This hotel is a splurge for me since I am traveling for a year but I still think it's a great value and so nice to have a modern clean cool room to come back to in Bangkok. After not having wifi for 3 weeks I literally sat in my room and got caught up with my writing and planning. I did think the food was expensive, and the mini fridge too, but I think it goes with a nice hotel in Bangkok. And it didn't stop me from utilizing both. The staff was lovely and let me use the pool for a few hours after I checked out. The location is great for cheap street food but the hotel has amazing food too. The buffet lunch is pricey for one person but really good. Nice huge television and very comfortable bed. Best sleep I have had in months."

"This is a nice modern style hotel in Bangkok in a good location close to asok BTS, that was cheaper than others in the area. Quite far down the soi but free Tuktuk ride there. Plenty facilities but did not church then out. Pool looked to be shaded all day. The light switches in room are really annoying and don’t seem to turn on/off when you want them to. TV had a glow when put to standby so had unplug and you can’t get to back of TV but they do have hdmi port in wall."

More about Bangkok

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and serves as a gateway for this region. Bangkok is served by Suvarnabhumi International Airport , which is one of the busiest and most important travel hubs in Asia, as well as the regional Don Muang Airport, which serves many of the regional airlines. Hotels in Bang Na are popular with travelers making quick stopovers as the area is within close proximity of the international airport.

Bangkok is a diverse and sprawling city without a dedicated central district. Instead, the major activity follows the major roads of Sukhumvit and Silom through the length of the metropolis. Visitors to this city will have endless options for accommodations, shopping, and some of the most exciting nightlife in Southeast Asia.

Getting around Bangkok used to be tricky, but modern infrastructure changes and the use of sky trains continues to make transportation easier.

The cosmopolitan energy in Bangkok is exhilarating, but it's easy to see that this city also plays an integral role in Thai culture and history. No sooner do tourists round the corner of a brand-new skyscraper than they come face-to-face with a centuries-old temple or an eclectic open-air market. The city features many unforgettable sites such as the Temple of Dawn, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, which is known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Bangkok remains endlessly fascinating and surprising even to its residents. There’s much more to see and learn about Bangkok, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to continue uncovering all the important landmarks, hotels, and attractions of this vibrant city.
