Coral Beach Club
Lian,Batangas - View on map
"Quiet clean great staff. Small but cool pool and jacuzzi. Great front desk staff all friendly and easy to deal with. Servers Jun Girlie and Flexie provide service at par with five star hotels. Food expensive but tastes good. Try the fish and chips and Big John Pizza. Food costs around 350 pesos up per person. No other food options around. Nice beach is a few minutes walk away. A bit littered and lots of rafts and vendors. No rocks pure sand beach. More than what i expected. Water not super clear typical batangas beach.Room is clean has bidet hot shower, firm mattress had great nights sleep. Split type ac, cable cignal hd with numerous channels. only downside was a tiny stain in the middle of the bed sheet upon check in but was replaced with crisp clean sheets upon request. No wifi in the room only in resto intermittent. Dont need much wifi in the room cable and conversation was good enuf for us. Public beach so dont expect boracay. Really cool resort for its price very well maintained. Has board games. Enjoyed jenga and scrabble. Has magazines, books. Even the pool guy is nice. Will definitely come back. Great resort!!!"

"This place is so nice to heal yourself. I was very satisfied with everything. Staffs are very friendly and nice. Location is also good and cleanliness of resorts is very good, it is well maintained place. I have recently visited many resorts in Batangas, only The Farm has 5 stars. Price is reasonable. Only cons is food, it was still nice but all foods are for vegetarians so I couldn’t enjoy. "

White Castle Hotel and Resort
Lian,Batangas - View on map
"We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and when we arrived we were the only guest so it's like we rented the whole place. The staffs were all hospitable the owner is also kind, he even gave us free drinks, there are also lots of dogs which are very friendly and cute. The room was clean and nice but, you need to go to the reception desk to request for your bottled water. The pool area was clean, it wasn't that big but, since we're the only guest it was enough for us. The beach wasn't white sand but, it's pure. The food was pricey but, Worth it. As for its location, I prefer you travel there by car rather than commute. But, if you're gonna commute; you can ride a bus from Buendia to Nasugbu/lian or Calatagan Batangas. If you were able to ride a Nasugbu/Lian bus you will get off at the 7eleven in Lian (133-150php each)(there's only one 7/11 there so you won't get lost) (you can either ride a tricycle there to the resort but I think it'll cost you 300-400php per Tricycle whilst, the jeep will only cost you 20-25php each) then ask where's the jeepney terminal to Calatagan then ask the driver to get you off at the Brgy hall of Balibago Calatagan(20-25php each) then hire a tricycle to White Castle beach Resort (50php). If you were able to ride Calatagan you just need to tell them that you will need to get off at the Brgy hall of Balibago Calatagan (154-200 php each) then ride a tricycle. You're welcome 🤗. Oh and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place 😊. "

"Many tricycle drivers are dishonest here. Some are great. Just be careful or it can cost you $25 just to cross this small city. The hotel is close to the SM Mall and many restaurants. About 300 meters. Also close to Batangas State University. "

"I’m a diver and I always go to Batangas to dive but at the same time I’d like to relax in nice hotels so I booked here in Altamare together with my family and friends... We can all say that Altamare is one of the best resort in Anilao, from the amenities, food & services they offer to the staff & employees, hands down! Special mention Marces he is very accomodating and very friendly we felt like home, we have a lot of friends also asking about this hotel, I cannot wait to go back this coming January! Thank you so much Altamare for taking good care of us! "

"The reason I booked a reservation because I want to have a soul searching due to many happenings and experiences that's been happening for a long time now. I want to re-evaluate and rethink. In this trip, I was able to do those things and in addition, I found my second mom through Ms. Fritzie because she would talk and never judge me. I'm glad that I am able to found peace of mind to my stay. Thank you and looking forward to my next stay."

Orlando's Beach Resort

"Nice simple beach resort in Batangas! You get what you pay for, so do not expect a luxurious stay. Nonetheless, we had a pleasant experience in this resort! Staff were very accommodating, my nephew enjoyed the pool, and there are areas where you can relax and chill like the hammocks. Beach sand was fine and it's black, so do not expect a white beach! Overall we had a fun getaway here!"

Traveler impressions of Batangas

More about Batangas

Batangas is a picturesque island city in the Southern Tagalog region of Luzon, less than a three-hour drive from Manila. The city is also a gateway to many beautiful islands which surround it, making it the perfect destination for an island-hopping vacation full of relaxing and interesting outdoor activities like diving and snorkeling. Getting to places such as Fortune Island and Ligpo Island is easily done by ferry at Batangas Port.

Arriving into the city is best done by driving or bus, as the drive into Batangas takes about an hour from Manila or two hours if not on the expressway.

Taal Heritage Town is a quant Spanish village with old Spanish architecture and traditional markets. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially for those who are interested in seeing some of the colonial history of this region.

In the middle of Taal Lake are volcanos that are very easy to see on a clear day. Because the area is at a higher elevation, it’s an especially popular destination during the hot summer days. A climb up the volcano can be done on horseback or on foot, and it can be an interesting and exciting activity for groups or families. There are several hotels near Taal Lake and volcano, with a wide selection and range to fit any plan or budget.

There’s much more to see in and around Batangas, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to find out where the attractions and hotels can be found in this interesting city.
