Fairfield by Marriott Belagavi
"This is a nice property perched atop a hill and prominently visible from the highway. We were greeted with great enthusiasm much like people who long to see visitors. Check in was smooth. Occupancy was less than ten rooms for sure, as we figured at morning breakfast.
The place showed no signs of distress, the common area AC and lights all in full working mode. There is a nice pool on a deck on the First floor.
The room was extremely cramped, with very little space between the bed and the wall. The luggage rack and clothes hanging was neatly tucked into a closet and the toilet was bright and optimally designed. A large table blow the window left very little place for the single sofa. AC worked well, the roll down drapes for the window was a neat touch, with side rails that prevent light entering.
The bed was comfortable and the linen good. the overall decor of the headboard and colours were ordinary.
All said an done, I would not hesitate to stay here on my next visit to Belgaum..and oh..remember to carry your own drinking water. Extra water was charged at Rs 123/- per litre and the room service by the housekeeping team was pathetically inane.
Keeping in mind the location, the food was good, club sandwiches, Naan, butter chicken, chaat..all of what we ate. Breakfast was a decent spread too."Show more
