Lilianfels Resort and Spa has given me and my friends an unforgettable Blue Mountains experience. After a long trip with the train from Sydney CBD, the friendly staff and the comfortable room gave us a space to rest. The victorian design also makes Lilianfels feels homey. I love how the curtains drop from the ceiling, covering some part of the bed, it gives some kind of privacy. The beddings were very comfortable and the bathroom is massive! Definitely the greatest place to stay in Blue Mountains area.

Great Hotel for a special occasion, but don't get sucked in by a the all inclusive tag, my bill came to $500 extra at the end of the weekend, my fault for not reading the small print I suppose

it was amazinggg..the room was big. it has 2 db beds, suitable for family. It surely worth the value of money. Best hotel in blue mountains for sure!

Apart from the usual 4-star facilities, this country lodge was charming and pleasant in her own ways. As a starter, the staff at reception was efficient and friendly. I did not manage to get his name but he was very helpful. The loft room was spacious, giving the feeling of an actual apartment. Everything about the room was great except that the complimentary coffee was rather disappointing. There are at least 4-5 different types of tea for selection but there was only one type of sachet coffee which was rather sad. I echoed on others' comment about the sitting area next to the window, which I thought was a brilliant spot for reading. The country lodge is situated in the middle of Blackheath which is a quite town at Blue Mountain region. There was not a lot to do at night but it was perfectly okay for me. The breakfast was pretty good with a choice of cooked breakfast from the ala carte menu. The check out was a breeze. I left with a desire to come back again.

our two nights at echoes will be long-remembered as an idyllic location and a real treat. apart from the stunning views, beautiful gardens and lovely decor, this hotel was perfectly situated for exploring the many wonders of the blue mountains. whilst we didn't eat at the restaurant, we did have breakfast on one morning which included a delicious fruit platter and other fresh, tasty treats. we would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking for spoiling themselves!

A regular visitor to the Mountains, and thought I would try the Hydro after driving past it all the time. The rooms seemed a little overpriced for what they were and we spent the entire weekend in the lounge when we weren't exploring. Breakfast everyday was amazing though and definitely worth adding to your booking. Staff were magnificent and worked out a problem with our booking almost immediately, table service was great the view spectacular. Might not stay there again but its a place you should stay at least once. Would definitely pop in for a few drinks on the balcony though.

We booked an extra night for the family room as this was the most value for money hotel in blue mountain. Although it is a family room, the place is small and toilet is just nice for 1 person. The good thing was it comes with an extra double decker and sliding bed. The children enjoyed the stay. As we were out most of the time exploring the place, it doesn't really matter and serves our need for the night stay.

The friendly Staff will definitely give you a map upon check in and highlight places to visit. (Note: Recep closes at 7/8pm) We had 2 nights in Blue Mountains, spent the first morning exploring Jenolan Caves (1.5hrs drive away, AUD36/adult) and the 2nd day exploring Katoomba. The hotel has a gas bbq corner, you just gotta buy the Meats at Coles Supermarket (5mins drive away & closes at 9pm) and the Motel Staff will provide (before 8pm) Aluminium foil, Canola Oil Spray, Cutlery & Plates for you. No fuss! It was super fun to BBQ at 12deg celcius! Bring your own beer or wine..

Ideal for the Blue Mountains. Walked to the high street for breakfast, lunch and dinner, great sushi at Sushi & Co. Fully explored the the hiking trails, a beautiful part of the world. Room was clean, big and a firm mattress. Reception was very friendly. Noise from the motorway was loud at night but would still stay again due to the convenience and price.

Overall a very good value motel. The man on reception was really friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic, but clean and spacious. Close to main attractions of Katoomba - Echo Point and Scenic World. About a 20 minute walk into the main part of the town. Would recommend as a cheaper option if exploring the Blue Mountains.

Stayed the one night and experienced exceptional customer service. Highly recommend Palais Royale to all who want to experience Blue Mountains history with quality accommodation and customer service.

the motel room are very clean. there are dishes and microwave in the room. our kids like to stay here as there are many games and movies we borrow for free. quite far from shopping centre if you walk. if you use car, its just few minutes drive you can find any food and supermarket. Near all the place in Blue Mountain.

When I go to LITHGOW we always stay at the zig zag motel we have tried the other motels but return to the zig zag The rooms are always spotless and the staff are very professional but always extremely friendly and helpful at the same time There is only 2 things that I have a small issue with and that is I think the menu needs some changes to include some basic meals aswell ,maybe a mixed grill with meat from the local area .Some prawn cocktail entrees and other basic entrees The other small issue was the room I stayed in this time the tv seemed to be along way away from the bed for old man eyes Maybe a small playground for the kids to stretch out after a long days travel . You can pick a decent playground up these days cheap and would make travel kids very happy Over all still the best I’ve stayed at in LITHGOW They have free to air tv as well as some basic Foxtel which could probably do with some more or a movie package channel

We walked from Katoomba station max 10 minutes and the house was easy to find. Our room which we chose before hand when booking was just as described. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom large. Everything worked as it should, even the heating came on due to the cold weather which was a little too warm for us! Breakfast was great especially the home made warm croissants. The house is full of antiques as well as books and DVDs for guest use. We went to the Old Bank brasserie upstairs on their recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Definitely stay again here when we come back to Blue Mountains.

Stayed a night with Avonleigh Country House while visiting the blue mountain. The location was good as it is only 5-10mins walking distance to echo point. Main attraction point for three sister. However, it is rather far from the main eateries near katoomba station. However, beside it is the blue mountain chocolate factory where you can have some nice hot chocolate. It is a very country house I would say, everything is very clean and the interior are very spacious with a lounge for relaxation. The room was big and equipped with a heater for the cold autumn and winter. Stayed on the bottom floor and wifi signal is strong. Which is a plus. Bed was comfy but the shower is hard to adjust to the right temperature as a little turn of the hot water, the water gets either too hot or cold. Apart from that, the room is very pleasant. Additionally, the stay comes with breakfast, the breakfast is well cooked by the staffs. I would say, it is really value for money. A quiet and nice pleasant stay.

Robert and Linda are a lovely couple working hard to make a success of their venture, however with the mine closed there is very little else in town and with the owners of the Chinese restaurant away no other significant dining choices without a car journey. The occasional train was not a problem but the dreadful weather spoiled a long-awaited opportunity to explore the Blue Mountains.

Lovingly and well restored grand old lady. Our stay was in a lovely room, with comfy bed. Very friendly staff, we enjoyed exploring the many rooms and reading all the informative literature and items around the hotel. Blue Mountains are truly beautiful with lots and lots to do.

One of the most amazing retreats in the Blue Mountains, it is located about 40mins from Katoomba on the top of some beautiful, green rolling hills. The remoteness of the location made you that much closer to nature and left you to focus on the important things in life. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The highlight was the spa located in the room which had the most wonderful view of the mountain. We had a cheeky drink whilst soaking in the spa as the sunset before us. Truly an amazing retreat where all the comforts of a 5 star hotel can be found.

Loved everything about Blue mountain YHA..it appears more like a resort. Walked perhaps 10mins frm Katoomba train station to YHA. Just straight down e lane. From YHA 5mins walk to the left with Woolworths & Aldi supermarts. Perhaps 8mins to the left w Coles. Very convienent opend till 12midnight. Kitchen is always so neat & organised. You can contribute your food or get free food on at the bottom of the fridge. Plus point a water dispenser right at the kitchen. Cosy environment at the Common area & eating tables . Beddings r comfy & quite firm...However pillow kinda thin need fold into half. Overall slept well with no back& neck ache. U have a bedside lamp & 2 AC plug for charging. Bring own locker & keys. Will book this hostel again if visiting blue mountains! Definitely more than what i expected for the price of usual hostel fee. Downside floors quite squeaky along the corridor walkways..

I booked female dorm. But there is a guy. I claimed that there is a guy. then the receotionist made me change the room. I could have stayed the dorm with no one for a day. Next day 2girls are coming in the room. At midnight they came back and one of them got really angry. Her voice is too loud to sleep. but dining room is so beatiful like a restaurant. kitchen is not bad. but my new bottle of water was stolen. It's a little cold. you should get another blanket. I borrowed three blanket, you go down the katoomba street at left side for several minutes you can find it. turn left at a music store

the hostel is situated just some 2-3 min. from the Katoomba train station, walking distance to shops, travel agencies offering activities in Blue Mountains and pubs etc.; It's a longer walk to 3 Sisters viewing point (maybe a 15-20 min. run). I've stayed in a mixed shared room with 2 bunk beds; there was plenty of space in the room and the lockers in the room are big enough to store anything you'd like to lock away. The downstairs communal area felt relaxed, no big party animals, just friendly people. The receptionist was chatty and friendly and really seemed to be enjoying his job at the hostel. All in all definitely a good place to stay at.

My husband and I recently stayed at Katoomba Manor when we went to the Blue Mountains. we would definitely recommend this guest house. Good location near the train station. Lovely hosts. The room had everything we needed and the breakfasts were great!

The baby goats (kids) were the highlight and being able to go in and out of the paddocks for a play was the best. Most of the guests could be found in with the goats at least once a day! We had so much fun. The alpacas were beautiful too but a bit more reserved. The hosts are lovely and knowledgeable. We stayed in the train carriage which was really novel. The only downside would be that the furnishings and linens were a tad old-fashioned. Would be great with an update. The same with the cubby and pool area, etc. But you go there for the farmstay experience. Bilpin Cider is just up the road for a picnic and a drink. We also went fruit picking for a day. Recommend this for families.

We attended a wedding and booked an overnight stay in a deluxe resort room. The wedding in the gardens was beautiful and the canapés and champagne afterwards were tasty and plentiful. The wedding reception in the gazebo room was well catered and the staff attentive. However this open sided building was freezing, one side had clear plastic drops to keep out the wind but not our side. Once we'd had our mains all three tables on our end were vacated as everyone sought the warmth of a fire at the other end of the room. As for our deluxe resort room, that might have been an apt description in the 1950's but not today. A typical motel layout with your car at the door, tired furniture that has seen better days, a sagging bed, a small bathroom with cracked wall tiles and a shower over the bath. I think that the whole Blue Mountains area uses the heritage theme to cover up ageing infrastructure. Unless we are are unlucky enough to be invited to another function, I can see no reason for coming back.

Conveniently placed, right next door to the Hospital and perfectly placed if you have intentions of seeing the attractions of the Blue Mountains. It is under new management and the staff there are impressive so, regardless of whether you're visiting the hospital or Lithgow or the Blue Mountains, it is a great place to stay.

We loved our stay in this hotel, it isn't a premier inn or Novotel, so if that's what you are looking for this hotel isn't for you - it is clean, comfortable and suits the ambience of katoomba. The staff were brilliant from our first meeting with them to the service they have provided after our stay as we left a jacket behind. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. We were disappointed to only be staying one night and considered extending our stay so that we could try out all of the hotels facilities. Thank you hotel blue for making this one of the best nights of our honeymoon in Australia!!

The boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to the Blue Mountains at the last minute - this was one of the few places still available (even when we walked in to realise the big winter festival was happening and everything should already have been booked out!). It was nothing special, but close to town, and cheap even at elevated prices, and it was clean. There were some odd choices they'd made, though - they apparently only clean the room if you leave the sign out (to the point that they ask you to leave it on the hook as you check out), and they didn't even bother to put the pillows back at the head of the bed when they were straightening the room, so the bed had a strange lump in the middle.

Absolutely recommendable accommodation. We loved the wooden interior in the rooms. Breakfast was served to the rooms. Because it was heavy rain all day, they even phoned us to tell they have got some DVDs for hire...if we return to the Blue Mountains, we will definitely stay there again!
