Traveling to Dominican Republic? Find Boca Chica hotels

Hotel description clearly states: "Featured in each room, among other amenities, are jacuzzi bathtub, separate shower and tub" Not so. There were no jacuzzi or even just a bath tub in the room. I notified about it and was told that the jacuzzi was on the roof top but was offered no form of recompense for the misleading information. The room standard was otherwise OK. Clean and of near European 3-star standard, but noisy since it's located right at the motorway making traffic noise a 24-hour problem. Last but not least, the hotel is located quite a bit off the beach area. Satisfying staff performance.

The food was usually cold in the buffet. Good drinks, amazing beach, but you will always get pestered by people selling things if you are not a local. Boca Chica is an amazing area and this is probably the best deal on the beach. The attached dive center Treasure Hunters were amazing and really made my trip. If you are interested in diving the local caves, wrecks or reefs I would suggest staying here.

Rita was very nice & fridndly. My room was always clean, in fact there seemed to be someone cleaning the common areas all day. Breakfast was reasonable, WiFi good and everywhere was quiet. It’s a 15 minute walk to the dive shops and nightlife.

Apartment was good. Beach in Boca Chica is not good, so you have to stay in hotel swimming poll. (You can see just see port and sugar refinery)

Hamilton Hotel is a very nice hotel to stay in when in Boca Chica, DR. It's a short ride from the International airport or a short bus ride to downtown Santo Domingo. The beach was quite large & enjoyable to walk. There were plenty of restaurants, bars & shopping nearby. Over all a great place to stay.

Comfortable, clean apt.s close to restaurants, shops, mini market, bars/pubs, bank - main street (1-3 min.), beach (3 min., if buy a "piňa" or eat - sun bed free), airport - 20 min, usually can find everything what you looking for. Stuff friendly, helpful - speak Italian, Spanish, English and may be more. Fast free internet. We rent a car (local company), drive round Bayahibe,Juan Dolio, Punta Cana. I would not go anymore to Punta Cana (algae in water, out of everything except kite surfing). Bayahibe - nice place with beaches (great for one day trip to Saona Isla on catamaran; you can make this trip also from Boca Chica for same price - 40 Eur), but very quiet, could not find any restaurant (except resorts), snorkeling OK, but water is often muddy. Juan Dolio - out of everything.

the front desk was kind and the bellboy was a nice guy who warned us about the people around the beach who tells you about the restaurants around and the prices are very high for a place like that

This hotel's comfort level was sub par. In three days never got maid service. Beds were so old you felt the springs. Holes in walls, open electrical sockets, no mini-fridge, A/C unit sounded like a truck in the room all night - could not sleep, yet no screened windows so could not sleep with fresh air or risk being bitten by mosquitoes. Was not informed by desk clerk until on day of check out that apparently breakfast was included in the rate - i ventured off site each morning for breakfast. Upon check-out owner/manager was not around, and front desk could not access the cash box in his absence, so I forfeited the $10 safe box deposit. The only thing good was it was located on the beach, so I could get off the premises everyday day. Would not recommend this dump. Overpriced for quality that was less than a pension.

We had a one day layover in the DR and stayed at coco. The owner is very nice, staff was very helpful. We had transport arranged for us by the hotel (we had to pay) as our flight was arriving late I the evening. Breakfast was outstanding and reasonably priced (3-4 $USD). I would highly recommend this hotel for. A layover or any type of trip in Santo Domingo. 2 minute walk to the beach in a little coral cove....beautiful!

Room very poor , dirty shabby , fusty smell . Only supply one small towel . Not G F compatable . Recommend a miss .

So where should I start, fiancée arrived before I did but would not let her ascess property until I arrived, then they gave me the wrong room, finally after about 45 minutes I got my room, but in the meantime witnessed front desk staff, although the three different occasions hotel guest were irate, why not resolve the instead of being unconcerned. Rooms were worth no more than that of a low budget hotel, open/ broken sewer line that was smelling, repaired and finally 4 days later, definitely not worth the price paid, what's shocking security was filling in as bell hops and as for the food, unbelievably not appeasing at all, just wasn't tastful, even had cats roaming around dining facility, with guests feeding and petting them, then going back to handle serving utensils....UNSANITARY. actually left hotel numerous times to eat elsewhere.. Finally the individuals trying to sell vacations packages at the resort, do they ever give up once being told no.. NEEDS COMPLETE RENOVATION

Hotel does not have a lot of room, which is nice. Great location on the beach, close to everything in town. Staff was nice. Free breakfast for 2 was great, not a lot of places open in the AM. Nice beach with lots of chairs. I would recomend if you want a great place in Boca Chica.
