Good location, Reasonable price! I really had a great time at summer backpacker. and I decided to extend my stay there. Good place for stating your journey in Australia. After a week in Brisbane, I moved to Bundaberg to get the 2nd-year visa. I definitely will consider staying here when I come back.

i stayed here for 4days. I think, it's the best choice to stay in brisbane. nice and kind staff, clean bed, good kitchen, everything is good. if i go to brisbane I'll stay here again. just book.

Nomads Brisbane is a central location that is practically on top of central station. Very close to everyone that Brisbane has to offer, it is a great home base to start adventuring the Brisbane CBD. Only one drawback, the noise late on the weekends is an issue for those who want a good night sleep. You're located on top of a bar/club and everything on your floor can be heard - footsteps and all. Ultimately a great place to stay if your a party animal on a budget, however if you want a quiet place to rest after a long day/night, my suggestion is to choose elsewhere!

My boyfriend and I stayed here just one night and were really pleased with the hostel. The reception was 24hour and the guy we dealt with was really friendly and chatty. Our room was like a hotel room but nicer than most hotels we've stayed in! It was a really cold night and there was just one sheet and a light throw on the bed so I was glad I'd brought my own fleece blanket. The ensuite was big, very clean and modern and had lovely fluffy white towels. I didn't like the shower as it sprayed in all directions but was certainly managable and was clean and the water was hot. We ate in the bar downstairs which was really modern and relaxed. The food was excellent, the service was really good and the prices very reasonable. As I only booked the hostel that day I couldn't book a carpark space as they were all booked out but there was plenty of parking on the street outside, which is away from the main road and had no problems parking there for free. I would definitely go back to the Brisbane YHA, it's a bit more expensive than other hostels but definitely worth paying a bit extra for.

i arrived late in the night to find the room i booked online was double booked (due to online updates being done at set times) the staff were awesome and relocated me to a spare 4 bed dorm for the night, in the morning i spoke to the manager and as i had to stay another night in brisbane i asked that the reimbursment for the room differences be used as part payment for the next night. as an apology i was offered the loft apartment at the cost of the refund. perhaps double glasing for the windows is the only possible issue but not a real problem

Same as the hostel name, it just got some rooms. I stayed in 4 female shared-dorm and it is the clean dorm ever I have to say. There is no formal reception but the staffs will assist if you need any help, just pick up the phone and talk to them. Inside the room, there is a fridge, heater, fan, locker and wardrobe which are out of my expectation. The Chinese boss is super friendly and lots of working holiday markers staying there in a long time. The kitchen is clean and there are freebie for lots of seasoning sources. For the location is just 10-15 mins walk to the big ferris wheel, walk out the door turn right and straight forward, remember to cross over the busway. In short, I enjoyed this staying and sleep very deep.

from the moment you arrive in brisbane and speak to the caretakers, there is nothing that is to big or small to ask. i found this accommodation to be the best introduction to a new city ever, it simply feels like coming home, no matter where you are from!!

This is a great spot to stay in the New Farm area. Nice and close to Powerhouse which is what we were looking for. This is an old Queenslander on a beautiful little piece of paradise in a convenient location. The rooms are NOT ensuited or aircon, but that is advised and what you expect for this type of accommodation. We used this just as an overnight stop for a work Christmas Party, so didn't need the extra but were pleasantly surprised by the bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plates, culterly, glasses etc that were provided. There was a fan running in the room the whole time and we stayed early December with a typical Brisbane afternoon storm and were comfortable. Staff were great with communication and other guests respectful. There is a bus stop RIGHT outside the front gate and free on-street parking. Coffee shop directly across the road, and a small shopping village within 5 mins walk. Would definitely recommend.

I found it quite wonderful to stay in such a well kept old building. It is so good to see that a hotel like that is still remaining in Brisbane when so much of the old has been torn down to be replaced by concrete. I rather like going down the hall to the toilet/showers. The balconies were wonderful and were a great way to cool down after a hot day walking around Brisbane. The hotel is very close to Fortitude Valley Station and that makes it very easy to from and to the International Airport.

The flat was very well situated for my needs, it was very clean, quite and the lady who owned it was very nice and helpful, i would rebook when i go back to Brisbane.

i was very happy with the ibis brisbane hotel. it was close to the hotel, great value for money, close to dfo ( had i had the time to stay) and had a fresh clean and simple design. i would most certainly recommend it and stay again. breakfast was a bit of a disappointment so i would reccommend not planning to eat there.

The hotel is amazing in everyway. Excellent location so close to everything anyone would want from Brisbane. The woman on the front desk is wonderful; very friendly and helpful and was happy to cater to extra requests like early check in. The bed is very comfortable and easy to sleep in. As it's very quiet, great for resting without disturbance. And of course, the theme of the room, WOW - no words can describe how unique the room theme is. Everything about this hotel is truly excellent.

We landed in Brisbane just before midnight, so wanted somewhere close to the airport to spend the night before driving down to Gold Coast the following day. After booking we received all the information we needed, access to keys on arrival was easy and we were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the room. Breakfast next door was simple but enough to start the day and the man in the kitchen was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

I spent 12 days here. It is fairly basic, but its very affordable. The biggest draw back is that its shared bathroom facilities. The room is small, but its just like a bedroom. It does have a sink and fridge in the room. This of this place like a BnB, its quaint and very comfortable. The rooms and shared bathroom, are very clear and fairly modern. There is a shared kitchen and dining area, again, very clean. I cooked a couple of times in the kitchen and used the dining area for dinners and breakfasts, it was perfectly fine. In fact the majority of the time I didn't have to content with anyone else for use of the facilities, including the bathroom and toilet. The outside of the property is well kept and the rooms are well back from the street and noise is not noticeable from the room. There is a nearby Woolworth's supermarket, about a 8-10 minute casual walk. The nearest train station is at Central Station and is about a 15-20 minute casual walk. Overall, the Kookaburra Inn is great

I booked this motel online because I was on a tight budget for a business trip to Brisbane. I was skeptical that it would be any good, but I have been surprised. I'm sitting on the bed writing this review. The room is modern, well appointed for the price etc. Its got a queen bed (I got a free upgrade), a small fridge to put cold stuff. Tea and Coffee facilities. The bathroom is recently renovated to good standards and its a reasonable size. There is even a separate closet to hang clothes. The building itself appears well maintained. There is parking at the back of the property, as the front is on Mains Road which has no parking. The rear entrance is security coded and looks to all be modern and well maintained. Overall its a decent place to sleep and its ultra close to the CBD, only about 2 or 3 klms across the bridge and your in Eagle Street in the CBD.

it is the best budget hotel i have ever stayed, very close to CBD.host was super friendly. the hotel is nicely decorated in british style. every room has a small basin which is great if you dont want to brush your teeth in front of others=]. Shared bathroom and toilet were very clean. simple breakfast was provided. also there are free parking provided. I would highly recommend this B&B to who are travelling to brisbane and looking for quality budget hotel!

It's recommended for anyone traveling to Brisbane. Great location with lots of extras, friendly staffs, good atmosphere. We had a great holiday staying there. I'll definitely stay again if ever traveling to Brisbane again.

We came from Macau and havea self drive tour in Australia. The reason of selecting this hotel is the reasonable price. But we found that everything is good. Room is not very big but comfortable. We didn't try the swimming pool as we arrived late, but the pool look great. The drying machine in the laundry room run without inserting any coin! It safe me several bucks.

Perched on a hill in the middle of Brisbane, Australia. Across the street from a lovely park with large trees. Access to central city activities. Ask Ming for whatever you might need.

Good, we arrived at 2am, managed to check in after speaking to the receptionist thru an intercom. Our taxi ride fr Brisbane airport to the motel was about 10mins and cost us ard A$25 including A$3.50 night surcharge. Very clean room, simple basic amenities, no frills. definitely not a 4 star hotel but yes a motel. Will come back to stay here again if i need to. Hotel provided us with a Playpen for the baby. Check out is 10am which is way too early, but apparently it is standard timing in Australia. We manage to ask for an hour extension. We walked over to the car rental company which was just next door.

I was looking for a budget hotel that provided parking close to the city, most hotels in Brisbane charge a large fee for parking. This hotel offers free parking and the rooms are clean and the location was exactly what is was after.

I stay here quite regularly when in Brisbane for business. It is centrally located, close to the train, shopping, restaurants and my work. Clean, well priced with internet included - everything I could ask for. Easy to book in on line, easy to pay for and simple to check in and out of.

This hotel is a Brisbane institution; has been refurbished, but still showing its age. Wonderful restaurant; the staff service is beyond belief. Excellent for all types of travellers. Carefully provides for non-smokers as well as smokers. Has inhouse coverage of sports and sports betting in Australia and the region. Flexible about check-out times. Probably the best value for money in Brisbane.

This was our second stay and the staff was lovely and cooperative as usual. Free parking is a good thing when u visit Brisbane and access to the city cat is just across the road and 200 meter stroll to the left along the river. Best way to see Brisbane is by city cat. Room was well appointed clean and very comfortable. The hotel maintains its high standard which is very good. Would love to stay again.

Would definitely stay here again . Would be great if we could have had a second set of keys . Also at night the gate to the 4th floor car park wouldn’t open- had to wait for another car to come each time to get in. Lovely view of Brisbane river

This motel is located in a good position, buses pass out the front, and if you have a car it is very easy drive to Brisbane central. There are many food outlets located near the motel. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable to sleep in. Reception staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist us. We will be recommending this motel to friends when they visit Brisbane

Check in was delayed due to computer problem, but I still got into my room well before the official check in time. But whether due to availability, generousity or whether to thank me for my patience I was upgraded from a single to a double. The rooms are not spaceious, but I did manage to get two large suitcases in and still move around. Also though I had a window, much of it was taken up by the air-con unit. But that suited me, as when I was in the room, it was to sleep, so the blind would have been closed anyway. Fridge with cold water (and space for your own drinks and food)and a tv, makes the room very guest friendly. Walking distance to the railway, and from there easy links to the airport or elsewhere in Australia. Staff very friendly and down to earth, willing to do the simple things, like help me with my bags up the three or four steps to the lift. Only way this hotel could get better in my mind would be to include free wifi, currently you have to pay. Comfort and location on a budget in Brisbane, a great gem of a hotel.

This motel was perfect for what we needed it for - an overnight stay while in transit from Sunshine Coast to Gold Coast and visiting a friend in Brisbane. Motel was old and a bit outdated but was clean with modernised bits like big smart tv and new bathroom vanity. Beds were comfortable and aircon was BIG and effective. Very good value for money for a big comfortable room. If you are needing accommodation around this area I would easily recommend

My son and I came to Brisbane for the recent Dynamo (Magician) show. We arrived early, so had lunch in the hotel and found Staff and Food both excellent!! Location wise it is central to everything!! Major Shopping centre across the road on the opposite corner , and plenty of places to dine out also. The hotel is very close to the Brisbane entertainment centre, so either a short train ride or Drive (10 minutes), will get you there. Room has a wall mounted TV which makes watching it Difficult, unless laying down on bed. Other small negative is Doors are very difficult to close unless you slam it, which through the night becomes annoying when you try to sleep, and people coming and going are slamming doors to get them closed. The staff were all FANTASTIC,and full credit to them all. This will be my "Go-To" place when in Brisbane from now on, it's close to Airport, and easy to get into Brisbane via Train or Road. I was very Happy to of stayed there, and will be Back!!
