Bristol hotels & places to stay

My daughter and I stay the night before a university interview. This is a new business hotel well located for Bristol City Center. Very clean & beds were 4 star hotels standard. We asked for a room away from noise to get a good night sleep. We did fly in from Asia & my girl need to recover. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. They took time to find a good matching room for us. We had a phone call to the room, as well as a follow up at breakfast time to make sure we were happy with our room & stay. I would recommend this hotel for shopping trips or night out in Bristol town. A good clean well located business / functional hotel. Well done Hampton and thank you to all the great friendly reception staffs. If my girl is lucky, this family will definitely return to stay for our visits.

Firstly let’s be clear. The staff are lovely and the hotel is in a prime location in the centre of Bristol. The room we had was a good size too and was clean. However the hotel itself is looking tired now and dated. And the 3 lifts seem to have a mind of their own stopping at floors with no one on. The pool is small and the sauna an steam room tiny too. The gym facility isn’t too bad for a hotel with mostly new machines. Unfortunately for the hotel during our stay the water went off the following day to the whole hotel so not one person could shower, use a tap or flush more then once. Luckily we left that morning but give Marriott their dues they refunded 50% and waiverd the £17 parking charge. If asked if I would stay their again if I went back to Bristol I wouldn’t. But your not fussed about a tired looking hotel and location is what you want you would be happy with it.

Excellent hotel. Cannot beat location as right opposite terminal building. Room was excellent with everything you could want and more. Even an iron and ironing board (full size) was very useful as my coat had become very creased on coach. Did not have the breakfast as we were flying very early but noted the cooked breakfast started at 6.00am and buffet at 4.30am. Check in was efficient and staff courteous and professional. Would highly recommend this hotel for early departures from Bristol Airport. Told a lady on our coach about it and she booked in there instead of a b&b 2 miles away she had already booked, said she loved it. Would highly recommend.

Very enjoyable stay in the city centre. The location is brilliant and the price good. Friendly staff and the room was very comfortable. Only downside to this stay is that one of the lifts wasn't working so a long wait for a lift in the morning. Free wifi is a nice touch. Would recommend though and will be back should I stay in Bristol again. Windows could do with a clean though as they were filthy.

We enjoyed being at this hotel, with lovely good sized rooms, good facilities and breakfast. An easy walk into the sights of Bristol and the river. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in Bristol.

I attended a meeting near Bristol Temple Meads, and the Hilton Garden Inn was located a very short walk away from my meeting venue. The rooms, the beds and the bathrooms are comfortable and clean, and of a decent enough size. The staff (I only dealt with the reception) were always very helpful and knowledgeable. It is a good place for a business traveler to stay in this central location. The rate (which I knew when I made the booking) was a little bit pricey, and I normally expect, and see, a little bit more luxury and a bit bigger rooms in that price bracket, even in a central location, however, there was a Rod Stewart concert in town that night, so perhaps I was staying at a very peak time.

Could not have stayed at a more friendly, comfortable and excellent facility. Its 2 star rating is way under the actual quality of this establishment. Its worth 4 stars for food and staff. I found the room very comfortable and modern. Location for me was important so the fact that its only 5-min walk from the Station at Bristol Temple with easy directions, was what at first made me choose this Hotel. I have absolutely no regrets and would stay there again when in that area.

Very good quality apartments, with good quality fitting & fixtures. Nice little touches and tastefully modern decor. No restaurant but you're smack bang in the center of Bristol in this case so that's not an issue. Solid, quiet building so hardly any noise despite location.

Nice welcome and helpful manageress on arrival. Good room and very quiet, and slept well with no traffic noise and little disturbance. Attractive rooms, and bright lounges with food and drinks available on bar/restaurant in hotel. Very convenient for Bristol sights and shopping areas. Great to have the Bristol Lido just round the corner, and Clifton village just a few minutes away. Thank you and will use you again on next trip - very competitive prices for all types of rooms.

Fantastic! The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. The room was very spacious. The Gym was satisfactory as was the Sauna and Steam room, even more so being complementary.The location to town was perfect. All it lacked was a nice view. I will certainly be staying over again very time soon, if not in Bristol but another location also.

We enjoyed our room, which was clean, large enough for our needs, quite stylish and comfy and had a good view of St Mary's from the window. The WiFi worked well in the room and breakfast was good quality, although could have had more variety. The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient and the meal we had in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably-priced. Overall, a good stay in Bristol.

Stayed in one of the larger sort of art-deco style caravans on the roof terrace. I live in Bristol but wanted me and my partner to have a new experience and it was worth it. Brooks is right in the centre of Bristol so you have the choice to go out for the evening, but the caravan also had a tv with freeview, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and heaters/a radiator, as well as an honesty bar if you just wanted to stay in. The beds will fit two people up to 6ft very comfortably, and there are plenty of lights aswell as an LED strip to set the mood exactly as you want it. The toilet and shower is plumbed in and spacious so no comfort is lost there. WIFI reaches the roof terrace and the whole thing just feels secure and well ventilated, but warm. Would recommend.

Great hotel in the heart of Bristol. We just booked a standard double room, which was a decent size. Rooms are clean and have very arty fixtures and fittings. The only downside is that during the winter the room was a little cold. It does have an air com unit that blows either hot or cold, but didn't want to have dry heat blowing around the room. There was a great selection of food at the breakfast buffet which was always being topped up. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives are that the instructions about the car parking aren't very clear, the turning is right after the hotel and on a narrow street where there is only room for one car at a time, regardless of whether you are going in or out. The swimming pool and spa are outside the hotel underneath the car parking area, so you have to go out of the hotel to get to them. Overall it was a good hotel to stay in for a weekend.

Just spent 4 nights at the Jury hotel in Bristol. The hotel is located in an ideal spot close to everything and easy to walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Fortunately we requested a room with a view over the river which was really nice and bright. Breakfast was excellent with a full buffet and had a great selection. Room we stayed in was very bright and really tastefully appointed. Al looked brand new furniture, large screen tv, lovely modern bathroom. Best part of the stay were the staff. From start to finish they were very professional but extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel!

A good plus was its proximity to Clifton which is a charming suburb of Bristol. Another plus was the food which was well cooked and plentiful.

There are three reasonable size 19th century hotels in Bristol for me the Avon Gorge Hotel has the biggest appeal still, not as plush as the Marriott,the AG has no swimming pool or gymnasium, but what it does have a fantastic view of the Avon Gorge (hence the name), the Suspension Bridge. Clifton the district where the hotel is situated has some very good restaurants and some interesting shopping . Ten minuets walk over the bridge is Ashton Court a reasonably large park. The rooms decor is very tired, but still in keeping with it's heritage. Not being a lover of the ultra modern sterile hotel chains accommodation this is by far a better alternative.

Great location for shopping and city walkabout. Being a pedestrian area, taxis cannot send us right to the door. Best if property operators can advise guests about the nearest drop off point for our convenience especially those with big luggages. For example in front of Piccolino's on corner of Broad Weir and Narrow Weir.

My daughter and I stayed In Bristol Centre Hotel for several times and days. It is really very conveniently located with lots of restaurants around, including a Tesco supermarket. It is just beside the Harbourside where busses are near. The only problem we had was the cleaners of our room. The hotel hired a company to do the cleaning and unless you tell them so, they do not clean our room nor change the beddings. When I once asked them to changed our sheets, they told me to tell the reception and that was already on our 5th day! The same in cleaning our rooms. I complained to the floor manager and she was very apologetic and gave us free buffet breakfast as an "apology". Immediately, the room got cleaned and sheets were changed! The wifi internet connected is not that fast. I think this is because the hotel is often full. Otherwise, we enjoy staying at this hotel. It was like home for us. If ever I go back to Bristol, I would gladly still stay in his hotel. The staff are really nice and so convenient!

We booked this hotel to stay one night before travelling early from bristol airport. It is conveniently located and very comfortable. The room is more luxurious than other hotels nearby and the price for a room provides better value in terms of comfort. The room was quiet and we had a good nights rest and relaxation prior to our early morning flight.

I will visit the Coach House again and recommend it. The experience is better than similarly priced chain hotels. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downsides to look out for in my room (15). People smoking outside, an uncomfortable wicker chair at the desk and a slightly lumpy mattress.

This is a decent Hilton. Me and my wife got the room really cheap so we were really pleased with it. Location is good if you have a car. We used the hotel as a base for visiting Bristol & Bath. The Hotel is £10 taxi to Bristol Parkway for visiting Bath. The Hotel was warm & clean and room service was excellent. All the staff were really helpful and kind. Please note Parking is free for Hilton Honors loyalty card members (I think it is £5 per night for non-members) and you get a free newspaper for Hilton Honors members too. The breakfast is excellent! Really filling! Please note you can't a specialiality coffee at Breakfast only tea or coffee in pots to add your own milk and sugar. If I was being critical the Hotel is a little dated, but overall it's a UK 4 star and really good rate and value!!

it was a good all around hotel with nice clean room, they provide complemenatry fruits in the room. they also have a nice restaurant and bar. it is well located in one of the nicest areas of bristol (clifton). there is free parking around but you will have to be lucky to find a spot.

I found myself in Bristol celebrating my 20 year anniversary with my baby bear. London grammar gig at the O2 within walking distance. Amazing bar with bourbon choices to die for. Breakfasts I could eat twice over. Bathroom designed to spend hours soaking in the bath. Bristol lido was a revelation - jacuzzi rocked as much as the roasted lamb shoulder after. Climax was tasting the winter taster menu at casa Mia and having the brothers all to ourselves. Those mini broccoli tarts were sublime. Thanks for making our anniversary so delightful. Silks restaurant def worth a visit too n

We had a brilliant deal on Agoda for this hotel. Would recommend the hotel and we enjoyed our stay. There was a faux pas over the breakfast times which we will deal with seperately by e mail. The car park was so convenient and right next to hotel £17.50 for 24 hours and extended to a time that suited us. Hard to find a hotel in Bristol that doesn't charge for parking. They also let us check in early as my husband was not well. Ingarda on reception couldn't have been more helpful and polite. She is a credit to this hotel chain. Convenient location. Have to use the underpass to cross the dual carriageway which late at night may not suit lone females so advisable to walk through Cabot Circus to cross the road further down. Would stay again.

Great value hostel to stay for a night.... hated the lift though... took ages to arrive at the right floor which wasnt reassuring itd get me there! Didnt get stuck but would prefer it if there was an option to take the stairs! Overall great place to stay for a night out in bristol, great value, fab location, would stay again. Thanks

The stay was superb, took a chance of booking this hotel although it has not enough reviews on Agoda. The facilities and location was very good. 10+ mins walk to the temple meads station and to city centre. The layout of the apartment was good and well kept. Everything you need is available : Stable Wifi , Washing Machine (with laundry soap available) , Iron , Full size kitchen with Microwave + stove + Dish washing machine. Pillows, towels and mattress are very clean and comfortable. My mum absolutely loves the place ! Definitely will return when travelling to Bristol !
