Traveler impressions of Chonburi
There are a lot of Chinese qroup tour at the Beach. Here is downtown Beach. Great place for who love shopping and nightlife.
First time in Chonburi. I loved this city. Chonburi is not to far from Pattaya, if you are looking for the best night entertainment available.
This is about the city of Muang,Chonburi. many good places to eat along with a large night market near the big long pier area.
My first visit and only stayed 2 days, but will certainly return there in the future - found the electronics located at the the malls quite inexpensive to the likes of Bangkok and the bigger cities in Thailand
Chonburi covered Pattaya and Bang saen, these 2 areas is at beach side but there is east and west. Both is nice places, Pattaya is more nightlife spots and restaurant versus Bang Saen but you never find any cheaper and fresh sea foods unless you visit to Bang saen.
Chonburi is covered Pattaya and Bang Saen areas, which is from east to west. If you plan to have the activities at beach or nightlife .
I recommended you to go to Peak-mon-dha-lay restaurant, nearly Kho-Sam-muk and AngSiLa. The owner was very nice,he is about 70yrs but friendly and absolutely his taste was very delicious.
Chonburi has many parts to it from Bustling Pattaya, to quiet Rayong...fishing village of Sirracha and fun beach of Jomtien .
The hotel is nowhere near Chomburi its siracha after 10 at night there is nothing to do no where is open no nightlife very little to do in the day time
Unlike Phuket, Krabi & Pattaya, rest of Chonburi is untouched by rapid commercialization and is a truer Thai experience in terms of food, hospitality, and everyday life
Chonburi is located in the East of Thailand, most of attrative place in the province is Night life, beach, seafood the price is acceptable and people here are friendly.
A lot of nightlife stuff here. Nice beaches, friendly people and stuff. But some places are very crowded with tourists.
Chonburi province they have many things to do.U can play goft and go to the beach is not fat.it's not far from Bangkok too.
Chon Buri is a large area and each part differing slightly in what attractions there are. I stay in Bangsaen to visit the university, the beaches, monkey mountain and sriracha tiger zoo.
Chonburi is known for Bang Sean beach. Dirty, crowded. Can not see the beach for the 100's of beach chairs and prolific number of food stalls.
The main attractions near Bangkok very soon. Can go and return in one day. There are beaches to relax.
Chonburi is a province that has a number of well-known beaches so you can visit beaches like Bangsean, Pattaya, Jomtien, etc.
Plan ahead, no need to pick hotel on beach because many hotels are on walking distance. Easy to drive around, the car rentals are at reasonable prices.
It was okay for a short stay but I would not have liked to stay more than three nights - there is not a great deal of social activity taking place.
it's very close to bkk only 1 hr. drive. Moreover there are a lot of fresh seafood restaurants there.
A unattractive city, infested with cars and bedevilled with a convoluted one-way system if it has any redeeming features, I've yet to find them.
Chonburi is not a tourist city, but it is a good place from where you can make many trips to islands, surroundings, or to toerist places like pattaya.
Chonburi is a typical medium size Thai city, nothing special. It is close to Pattaya, which is the sleaziest beach town in the world, with is never-ending escapades of serial depravity and debuachery.

More about Chonburi
Chonburi town is an inland community that serves as the usual gate of entry. Buses and minivans connect here from Bangkok in around two hours.
Most head straight to Bansuan, a nearby coastal resort that can be reached in less than an hour. Further south is Sattathip, where resorts perch on a cape jutting into the Gulf of Thailand. The local Royal Thai Navy Golf Course is also open to visitors.
Away from the resorts, visitors encounter one of the most candid settings in southern Thailand with quiet coastal villages. All the major tourist districts in the area rent out motorbikes.
The major resorts of Chonburi get plenty of attention, but there are a number of quieter escapes that often go unnoticed by tourists, including Koh Si Chang. As an island of beaches and green hills dotted with Buddhist monasteries, it's popular with the weekend crowd, but mid-week tourists have the place to themselves.
