Traveler impressions of Jeonju-si
Jeonju is my favourite city in Korea. It's the provincial capital of Jeollabuk Province, an agricultural province known for it's delicious food.
Jeonju very easy to get there, fr incheon by express limousine bus, then get off at terminal express, cross forward take a taxi 4500 or by bus intercity, get off in front of church katedran Jeonju.
not able to say much about the town as i was only there for one night. hopefully there will be direct bus to hanok village from express bus terminal and return trip.
In all my travels in Asia and North America the locals are the friendliest I've encountered from hotel staff, taxi-cab drivers, shop keepers, people on the street, etc.
Nice place to visit because its food its amazing, being also its people great. The Hanok village its nice but lacks a little bit of authenticity.
The Jeonju is the first of the food " BIMBIMBAP" , in the night they are close.. so You must the original of bimbimbab in the evening
Visit the Hanok Village to see traditional Korean builings that are still in use today. There are amazing cake shops and people sell home grown vegetables on the street in the evenings.
We were here for the Jeonju International Film Festival. The volunteer workers at the festival were friendly and helpful.
it is a fantastic place to visit and you can enjoy the traitional korean food there. It is an ancient and traditional place.
Apart from the Hanok village, Jeonju is nice for eating Bibimbap and the people are really friendly and helpful.
Very nice medium size city with lots of attractions around. Recommend to visit "Mai-san" (Horse ears mountain) which is just an hour from the city.
This place is very famous for its food and indeed the food are really delicious. You should try Bibimbap (mixed rice), 콩나믈국밥 (a kind of porridge with bean sprout, I don’t think it sounds delicious to me but it turned out to be savory, you should try), 한정식 (a kind of traditional Korean meal full of every kind of food you might think, you will feel like a King/Queen.
Great traditional Hanok village located within a moderately sized city. Great artisan goods, amazing food and tea houses.
Jeonju is city of slow, you should slow down your speed to enjoy delicious food and to know more about Tradition Korean Culture.
Good to stay there for 1 - 2 nights and then go to see red leaves at Naejangsan in end Oct to early Nov.
Can spend 1 day walk in downtown! Day and night is totally different there! Don't miss the night time! Romantic and impressed!
Overall, an enjoyable stay in a medium sized town/city, both within the town and on trips to outlying places, which were easily accessible
Jeonju-si is labelled as slow city. Yes, as compared with Seoul, its pace is indeed slower but I think most Koreans don't have the habit to take things slowly and you can still car-horns.
