Best hotels & accommodations in Koh Ngai (Trang)

Wonderful- v friendly reception staff. Great breakfasts and huge New Year's Eve dinner . Loved our family villa- best accommodation for our family of four in all of Thailand. Hotel is much more luxurious than described online. Love their Blue Lagoon coffee shops and relaxing seating areas! Decor is wonderful all around the public areas! Koh Ngai has a beautiful beach f...

We spent 4 nights at this very nice resort. The best choise you can make on the wonderful Koh Ngai. Even if there are many rooms in the resort is peaceful and quiet the whole day. In the morning the beach and pool are quite empty. Nice large beach equipped with sun decks ect, pool (with sea water) grate especially if you have children (there is small part, divided for...

We stayed 5 nights in Coco Cottage. The best hotel in Koh Ngai. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and the food delicious even if the menu was relatively limited. My wife and I and our three kids (14, 11, 7) all had a great time there. We went diving with a nearby fully qualified PADI instructor, had lots of massages, crossed the tropical forest...

We did a lot of research on the accomodation in Koh Ngai - it was definitely worth it. The island is very heterogeneous in terms of hotel prices, Thapwarin is definitely the best. Bungalows are smal but very nice with outdoor bathrooms. The beach is great, staff is friendly. Only negative thing, restaurant is too expensive.

We stood for a week, left only because we had to fly home. The view from the terrace is just perfect, like those pictures in the desktop of a pc, with a light beach with palms, cristal-clear water changing shades, some small atollos in front of the island, and the vegetation of the jungle climbing up the cliffs of Koh Ngai. The staff was very friendly, sweet and they ...

Found out about this new resort thanks to a previous comment posted on Agoda. So glad we booked there. Brand new concrete bungalow with beach/turquoise sea view, super comfy (and new) mattress. No AC or hot water, but never felt we needed those. Most of the time we didn't even need the fan, as there was a great breeze coming from the sea (mosquito screens on the window...

First of all, the Thanya Resort is at the best part of the beach apart from the even more southern Koh Ngai Resort, but from there you'd have to cross the cliff every time you want to go to any other place on the island. The Thanya is a lovely place to spend a week or two, with a great pool, wonderful graden, very polite staff and a terrific beach and view. The bungalo...

We totally LOVED our stay! The bungalow had everything we needed, A/C, mosquito net and a two step walk to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen! The nights were quiet, there was a live performer on some nights and that music could be heard but not later than 10pm. (The guy was fabulous, best hope he is performing during your stay! :) ) Since the bungalow is not co...

The whole island is very expensive and this is the cheapest place. if you don't mind sleeping in a tent, I suggest it. they have mattresses, so you aren't sleeping on the ground. the tents were quite clean, considering they are tents. The bathrooms, however, are not. We didn't shower because they were not pleasant to use AT ALL. The restaraunt is quite nice, and prett...

Well... Koh Ngai is a specific place. Beautiful, wild, real, calm, empty... Perfect. But you have to pay the price. Pay a lot for a nice place to stay or just forget about your humanity and pay less for these conditions. I am a low cost traveler so I had to choose the second option. Not really clean, problematic with the temperatures, windy, no toilet paper and I was t...

Traveler impressions of Koh Ngai (Trang)
It is a very isolated island and there is NOTHING to do. I would only recommend this island to people looking for extremely relaxed holidays.
Koh Ngai has beaches, no roads, no inhabitants and no independent shops and minimarts. Is's quiet, ideal for relaxation, and I recommend a trip to Koh Mook Emerald Cave and some snorkelling.
only have a small mini mart in the island, need to prepare all the things before when to the island..
The island itself is very small so you only have 7resorts on but when I say resorts I don't mean massive brick buildings far from it, there are lots of wooden huts along the beach, it is just a little island with paradise in it.
ca 2 km lång strand med ett flertal hotell, resorter på så det gick bra att välja olika restauranger kan varmt rekomendera restaurangen vid campingen mitt på stranden!
Try the famous cake. And roast pork. Good halal food too. Market downtown is good. Close to bus van and railway.
relaxing, good snorkel though water is not very clear there are plenty of fish and coral, the camping restaurant is excelent and the staff is really nice
There is very little to do here. We stayed six nights but that was absolutely maximum. Here is only the beach.
Its a small, quiet island to enjoy the white beach and the sun! If you like snorkeling or diving this is the right place for you.
beautiful island relaxing plenty of snorkelling with many other islands to visit very safe for children and great fun on the beach
Great place for honeymoon, peaceful, private. Nothing much to do, just enjoy the sun bathing, walking, relaxing.
Access to Koh Ngai is by ferry and transfer by longboat or by speedboat. You can get there from Koh Lanta or the port near Trang.
There are no indigenous inhabitants on this island, it's just resorts and some camp sites. But it has beautiful beaches and is quiet and remote.

More about Koh Ngai (Trang)
Being such a small island, the best activities are all centered around the beach. Most travelers go to Thailand’s many islands to take part in diving and snorkelin g activities, and Ko Ngai is no different. Most of the hotels on Ko Ngai are very accustomed to international tourists, so getting help from the staff to arrange for the best diving sites and guides is the best way to go about planning these activities.
If relaxing on the beach gets old, head over to the nearby Koh Lanta and visit the Lanta Old Town. This old town has been the center of Lanta for quite some time, and is a great place from which to discover the cultures and histories of the Thais, Thai-Muslims, Thai-Chinese, and Sea Gypsies who have called this area home for so many years. The intermingling of cultures is a very unique and interesting feature of this town, and certainly worth spending an afternoon to see it all.
While in Lanta, check out the underwater caves and barely discovered jungles of Mu Koh Lanta National Park. This national park is one of the best in this region, and is a dream for hiking and trekking enthusiasts who will have their hands full with many unique areas to explore.
There’s a lot more to see and do in Koh Ngai, and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
