everything was lovely. staff helpful but unobtrusive. facilities good. location and hotel was spotlessly clean. breakfast and themed evening buffets were amazing. bar menu could have been a little more extensive with more range of snacks. overall - well worth 5 stars!f you have class, this would be an excellent choice of hotel in kolkata

We only had a single night at the LaLit... wish we had at least a week there. Booked 2 rooms both really wonderful. Location perfect for all business and tourist attractions. Staff are really good... and cleanliness was to international standards... something that can’t really be said for many Indian hotels. Food was good too. All staff were very happy to serve and so friendly - always greeting you with a smile. We are all so happy with our stay there and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice hotel in Kolkata. Go on book it... it’s well worth it. Well done to all the staff and management of the hotel for delivering such a wonderful experience.

My stay at the Park Kolkata hotel was very pleasant and enjoyable. I was met at the airport and had a great drive into the city with a very pleasant and chatty driver telling me about things to see and do. Check in was smooth and I was upgraded to a suite which was much appreciated. Even though I was just a single traveller it was fun to have all the extra space to really spread myself out. And, as someone with a lot of friends in Kolkata it was pleasant to have the sitting area set apart from the bedroom to be able to socialise. I had 2 issues though - one the room smelled very musty and damp but I understand that this is a very old hotel, so that is to be expected. When I commented on the smell, they immediately came and sprayed the room for me to freshen it up and provided me with a floral arrangement. The other issue was the hot water and water pressure. The water, was, at the best of times luke warm. Maybe for some people this water temperature is OK, but I like a hot shower. And with little water pressure the spa bath was impossible to fill so I had to forgo that pleasure. :( I did get engineering in, and the hot water occurred - but only that one time straight after engineering. I was left to wonder whether there is a switch that they adjust if a guest complains. Anyway - it was just a minor concern. My package included the buffet breakfast which had enough choices to satisfy me and the staff all through the hotel were pleasant and went out of their way to assist me. I'd recommend the hotel if you want to be part of the nightlife or if you want to be near the tourist attractions. Having the booksellers on the street right next door was an added bonus and the fact that I could walk to New Market to the bazaars.

Centrally located close to Park Street with relatively clean rooms. Good value for money. Special thanks to the staff who were very service minded and went out of their way to help with any special request. Would definitely choose this hotel again provided they keep up / improve their standards and don't become a run down property over time like many other Kolkata hotels.

After searching 5 hotels at midnight in the new market area of Kolkata this is the best hotel considering the location and money. Every staff was wonderful from reception to bell boy to restaurant staffs to security guard. Breakfast was also pretty good which includes 4 types of juices. Room ambience was very nice. There's a fan in the toilet for summer times which is the first I've ever seen. My 3 year old kid enjoyed a lot cause room was specious (executive room). Rooftop restaurant was also good. Very good views.

Whenever I am going to look back and remember every moment of my Kolkata trip, apart from the city tours and eateries of the place, the team and staff of 'the SONNET' would be an integral part of my happy memories. The every bit of our stay at this place is satisfactory. We have lodged here for the fifth time and every time we have been made to feel very special. Every DEPARTMENT of the hotel, each staff member requires THUMBS UP AND APPLAUSE for their courteous behaviour, helpful attitude and all smiling even after strenuous working hours. Although the entire team of 'the SONNET' is highly appreciable and commendable for their discharge of respective duties, still special mention of few names- Ms. Manisha, Mr. Souvik, Mr. Shekhar (front desk). written a number of reviews on hyatt kolkata as i always booked this hotel if on a business trip in kolkata, india. going to book the same hotel for my next jul trip. the reason is simple. the location is great, easily accessible. the room is spacious & clean. when we said its five stars, its really five stars hotel. you do not need to worry about the service or room standards. the quality is there. the staffs are friendly and will try to accomodate to your request.

I booked the hotel for my parents who were in Calcutta for their tourist visa stamping at the US Consulate. Location: The hotel is 5 mins walk from the consulate and 15 mins walk to the OCS Center. Arrival: My parents arrived 3 hours before the check in time and they were promptly checked in without any hassle. The reception staff were cordial and helped them have a seamless check in process. Room: I had booked the Suite for my parents and it was worth it. They were pleasantly surprised to see th best up the room and liked it very much. They liked the mattress and said it was very comfortable . Breakfast: They breakfast buffet was amazing and apparently the best they had ever had. Price: A bit on the higher side , I paid $94 per night but you get what you pay for. Totally Satisfied. Special notes : My parents were helped by the reception staff to get a last minute print out without which they couldn't have gotten the visa stamping done. So Thank you very much "The Astor"

i had stayed in this hotel for 2 nights it was really a great experience earlier i have stayed in many hotels in kolkata but the stay at this hotel was good rooms are very well maintained cleaned and the amenities are good this is overall a good value for money every one will enjoy staying here staff are good and helpful the location of the hotel is good close to market and happening place of this city

Great hotel for staying in Kolkata Centre. For shopping, dentist visit, good restaurant in the hotel, more in the area, walking distance. Although in the middle of the city, actually the rooms are very quiet. Internet is fast and free, and for unlimited devices ... ;) .... which is very comfy ... one doesn't have to beg for yet another internet pass for the iPhone and iPad. Breakfast is good buffet mostly vegetarian, which is very pleasant ... typical Indian breakfast, but also fruits, cereal and toast available, with their 'accessories'. We had to spend a week in Kolkata, we were very happy here.

We stayed 4 days, it's very fine. There is no ploblems in fact, I had really surprised. Fine breakfast, is good more than another 5 star hotels in Kolkata. Kindness and friendly team makes us feel good. We 'll back in next year, thank you to all the team.

We traveled with 2 young children and was 11 people in total. had 5 rooms. rooms in higher floors seemed better. Room condition was okay. they needs to be repainted as some paints are falling down. but bed, washroom and floors were clean and size of room was good. i had worse experience in other hotels in Kolkata in similar prices. Location is simply awesome. Some Staff were very good, supported with SIM cards, at the time of checking out the hotel receptionist was not so good. did not want to take credit card. Surprisingly food was really good. my boy was 3.5 yrs old and we ordered dinner for him every night and that was super good. overall i will go back if i travel in next 6 -12 months

The rooms certainly need refurbishment especially when compared with similar hotels in Kolkata. Staff are friendly and courteous.

excellent location and very good service. hotel staff go miles ahead to please guests. i stayed with 2 kids and they made our stay memorable with their services. another thing is this is a new hotel. so almost everything is like new and unused. very clean and white all around. hard to find this in kolkata hotels. they are working on their main entrance of the hotel but over all it is excellent. will return to this property.

This was my second time in Kolkata and my first time at the Tulip Inn. I had a very bad experience at my first Kolkata hotel and needed to be more comfortable this time around. My stay was very good. The hotel staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. There was nothing impossible for them. They arranged cars, suggested travel operators for sightseeing and even installed another cable box for free so I could watch the soccer matches during the European Championship. I had to catch an early flight and received a breakfast "to go" without even asking for it. The hotel is right on Park Street where many good restaurants and shopping are located. But the food at the hotel is also very good. My business partners all knew about the restaurant. I can recommend the hotel and will stay there again.

A shiny new hotel. Staffs however don't behave like new, novice. they are smart. Foods pretty good. Not noisy like many Kolkata hotel. I liked it and can recommend to friends.

It was the best choice for any travellers that arrive late night in kolkata, the staff were helpful even late in the middle of the night. They addressed my concerns without hesitantation. Although the hot water was a bit problematic. Overall, a great stay.

We spent a night at the Corporate hotel in Kolkata this November. It is a small hotel & quite new, situated near the business area of the city thus is often fully booked. We had booked two executive rooms but on arrival found that one of our rooms were down-graded to a twin room as one of the guests was ill & extended her stay. It took much negotiation to get the room upgraded to the executive we had originally booked, but on the positive side it allowed us to compare the 2 rooms. Both rooms were on the small side but well furnished & clean. They had the modern feel we were looking for. The bathroom in the executive room was much larger & nicer with glass enclosed shower area, while the one in the twin room was tiny with no separate shower cubical. We had supper in the hotel & found the food to be well priced. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and even modified the dishes on the menu to suit our needs. Breakfast was limited in variety but the food was well flavoured & tasty. Overall the hotel is fairly priced for the standard provided.

The surrounding area is still under development at the time of writing, but this hotel is very close to the airport and you can reach it without any traffic jam in the city center of Kolkata. Hotel itself is OK for me to stay at.

I only stayed overnight, and left very early. I was very impressed with the overall ambience of the hotel. The room was tastefully decorated with some nice features. It was pleasantly roomy and very welcoming. I have stayed in a variety of hotels in Kolkata over the last few years, and this was definitely the best value for money. Not so good for access to the inner city, as its a bit far away. Excellent for the airport. If I had to spend time in the city and was not bothered by the distance to the city centre, I would definitely make this my base. For the money it beats any other 'boutique' hotel in the city. I gave a 3 for the food rating because I had to fill in something, but as I didn't eat anything there, I have no idea about that category.

we had a good stay here. the room was fine, despite our view of air conditioners and lack of decor. it had everything we needed to be comfortable. the hot water supply was uneven. the hotel is a good base for seeing kolkata. since the church next door to the hotel feeds street people, the location attracts resident beggers, but they are not overly aggressive.

As a frequent business traveler I have had all sorts of experience from the best to the worst but from the moment I entered into this hotel I noticed the the high level of service that is provided to the guests. From the entrance to the room every single service that is expected is provided with 100% efficiency. Every single staff members are extremely professional and courteous. No matter what time of the day or night it is you are greeted with a lovely smile at the reception. The first room we had was not quite ok for us so the next day it was changed and the duty manager himself came to apologise for the inconvenience, really impressive. The hotel is absolutely spotless with nice deco in place all over. The Queen Rooms are smaller but the King Rooms where me and my wife stayed are much bigger and more comfortable with all the facilities in place in all the rooms. Daily buffet breakfast is at the 1st floor restaurant. One thing to bare is that this hotel is frequented by mostly Indian business travellers so the breakfast menu is mostly local, a small number of European items are served which remains the same everyday but WHILE YOH ARE IN INDIA WHY NOT TRY THE DELICIOUS LOCAL FLAVOURS. You can also choose your items and ask them to be delivered to your room or even phone the restaurant and the items you ask for will be delivered. The restaurant also serves an excellent BUY 1 GET 1 FREE buffet lunch from 1pm-3pm for only 795 Rupees+tax with plenty of items to choose from. The bar has a BUY 1 GET 1 FREE offer on all drinks from 1pm-7:30pm. There is a nice small gym with 2 spectate shower rooms (male & female) on the 2nd floor and a lovely pool on the top floor with a great view of the city. The CEO MR ATUL ASTHANA is an extraordinary and a very down to earth individual who is always keen to help the guests, you can see him walking all over the hotel at all times to make sure that everything is ok for the guests. We found the hotel very nice considering the money spent for it. Hotel room was neat and clean, staff is well behaved and co-operative. All the services were very prompt. Food was really tasty and worth the money spent. All in all, we were quite impressed, and considering this hotel is only 5-10minutes drive from Airport, we will sure come here again when transiting at Kolkata.

Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata offers a peaceful stay with minimal noise at night. Facilities are excellent, staff very helpful and polite. The location is excellent for work in central Kolkata. This is the second time that I have stayed here, each time for 6 nights, and would come back here if there was a further need.

beauuuuuuutiful place! just loved the place. ppl need to go there to realize, so i wont try to describe. i stayed at the fort btw. I'll just mention my gripes which i hope reaches the hotel mgmt... 1. no shaded parking. my vehicle lay under open sky under intermittent rains for 2nights, 3days... not appreciated! 2. food of Sonar Tori was tasty but difficult to digest. we had a hard time getting it out of our system.

good staffs, clean, location is little bit far from new market but near to park street. buffet items are not many variety. also you have to do your dinning in Bar. so they need proper dinning room. overall good hotel.

The hotel is located at prime place. Close to Nicco park, Eco Park. The facilities are nice. Food was nice. Well prepared. Staff were very accommodating. Would recommend this place for a comfortable stay at Kolkata

We stayed at Housez 43 for four nights. We arrived in Kolkata and had booked into another Guest House - - it was terrible ....we checked in at 6am and out at midday! We had been traveling overnight and needed to sleep but I was too scared to lie on the bed as it was unclean...ended up sleeping on a towel on top of the bed simply because I had to. Housez 43 was the total opposite - fabulous reception, wonderful staff, clean and reasonable size room - we felt at home here - even the security guards greet you which is really nice. We left having really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel thoroughly and cannot recommend them enough!! We upgraded after 2 nights and spent 2 nights in a Deluxe room which was a bit nicer - you do get what you pay for!! Overall we would definitely stay here again when back in Kolkata - would look forward to it!!!!!

Everything about the stay was beautiful. . The location the villa the pool the staff.. only thing I would say was a down was food..wasn't upto the mark.. and yes the check in timing is too late.. should be the usual 12 pm. . But these are minor issues.. overall I've not had a better experience in kolkata..
