Traveler impressions of Lamphun
Lamphun is not a big city, but it has very interesting Buddhaist Temples scattered throughout the Town.
It's a different place from most of the Thai towns & cities we visit, slower pace and some good Temples to visit, also the Artists who live locally, their galleries or shops are worth a look.

More about Lamphun
Lamphun can be easily traversed on foot, but transportation such as motorcycle taxis can be of use if needing to make a more distant journey. Transportation will be of great use if looking to head out to Luang Pha Waing Cave. Set 45km out of the city and accessible after a 15-minute walk, the journey pays off once you are here. Outside the natural sites, Lamphun is a laidback destination to escape it all. There are many temples to explore, including Wat Phra That Hariphunchai and Wat Phra Yuen. Cheap dining options and a relaxed atmosphere ensure a refreshing experience.
Be sure to check out the interactive map of Lamphun for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
