This is an awesome hostel. Location in centre of town easy to get everywhere, fairly new, super friendly n helpful staff, run as a proper hostel with great kitchen and eating area, cheap breakfast and a deposit (refundable) for bedding towels etc. Highly recommend and the best I have stayed in in Germany.

The hotel is located a little bit far from the Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, yet it is near the major buildings and streets, just on the opposite side to the Thomaskirche in which Bach lied in peace. The Bach Museum is just on the opposite to the Thomaskirche. I would recommend my friends to stay there if they go to Leipzig.

The room was very spacious and had a fridge but no kettle, but as it was 28 degrees this worked very well. I had a balcony which has also lovely = rising sun with Leipzig's beautiful architecture. Very clean. Staff were helpful and tolerated my poor German and couldn't have been more helpful. My mistake for not staying longer. I'd go back.

A very large room with a large bathroom for a budget price. All facilities are available except a fridge. The price was "fully paid" according to the confirmation mail by Agoda. Nonetheless, a city tax of one euro per day was required by the receptionist at the check-out without any receipt to have been paid. The confirmation email by Agoda is in Bulgarian, so it is meaningless to display it quoting "fully paid" for it is also in Bulgarian and thus understandable for a German receptionist. Dear Agoda, I have demanded already a few times for all confirmation emails to me to be in English rather than in Bulgarian for they cannot serve for any claim to any hotel outside of Bulgaria being in Bulgarian. I do not use hotels in Bulgaria at all.

When you arrive, you will find your key in a box at the entrance and you can open the box with the code provided by the owner. My room was on the 1st floor (would be called 2nd floor in some countries) and was facing the small park at the Georgsplatz. A quiet and peaceful corner in the otherwise dull district of Lindenau that has little to offer other than kebab-joints and quirky tiny stores. Public transport (tram) is a few minutes walk away, the Lindenauer-Markt shopping area is a 12-13 minutes walk. My room was clean and the bed was okay. Despite the sweltering heat Leipzig experienced this summer, my room did not get too hot and was comfortable enough to have a good night's sleep. A small fridge is on each of the three floors were guests can store a drink or small.

I also experienced very rude staff and I still cannot believe that they can be so rude to customers... However, David was very kind and helpful. Other than that, Sorry, I won't recommend this hotel at all...

All facilities are suitable, ergonomic, and sufficient, and all of them work. Cons: pure breakfast, though buffet, but expensive (€9). Better go to the near Lidl (about 300 m) to buy much richer, and nonetheless cheaper breakfast. Many of TV channels need something additional and thus do not work.

No water and fridge in the room though. Room furnishings is functional with lots of charging points for devices. Wash basin is positioned in the bedroom outside the toilet/bathroom which allows for 2 persons to use at the same time in the morning rush. Joanna who did our check out and stored our luggages was very nice and helpful. Learnt that Travel24 hotel has no other branches. Really wish they can expand their business to more cities. Love the cleanliness and thoughtfulness. Lots of cozy corners at the lobby for chilling out. Too bad we only stayed one night.

We booked a hotel next to the station is because we only stopped for a night, then, carried on our tour by train to the next destination. However, we did not expect it was so close to the station, and it was not noisy at all. The hotel is very cozy, and the staff are very polite and helpful. We enjoyed very much our stay.

got good help in the hotel but the free wi-fi didn't reach our room so had to leave the room to be able to use internet on my laptop. didn't try the food so cant say. but they had a hairdryer that we borrowed. there is a shortcut to the tram just outside the hotel but apparently its private..looks like just normal park.

It was equiped with a nice kitchen and a big storage room pleasant enough for anyone who may want to stay for a few days but also for a few weeks. The appartment itsel seems a little old but the rooms seem to be refurnished. The entrace could be hard to find at arrival because it is behind the building and looks like a normal appartment. The signs that indicate the entrace were tiny, so better look carefully to find it. Added to it, the staff told us that normally they take an end cleaning fee of 25 euros. Since it's not indicated on agoda.com, she didn't insist us to pay it but for a cheap and comfortable stay it wasn't too expensive to pay it.

Room was big and clean. About five minutes walk to tram station that took us to the city (which took about 25 minutes) next to the hotel there was Kaufland supermarket. We had a car and parked on the streets near to the hotel (1 min walk) so no reason to pay 9€ per day to park at hotel

I was in Leipzig for a day trip to Dessau so the proximity to the main train station was important to me. Stayed for 2 nights by myself in a huge room meant for 8. Showers had almost clear glass doors in the female toilet. No elevator but the staff offered to help.

I wasn’t quite sure if the town or this hostel in this area was the right spot but I was completely wrong. I was there for one full day and night and they made me feel like I have been there for months. They make you feel super welcome to their home, offer the best advice (which is to avoid the city center), everything is super clean, curtains on the beds! For young people like myself, listen to their advice because the areas she told me to go to, I seriously didn’t want to leave, I want to live in Leipzig! I rented a bike from them which was the best way to get around and see the city. There’s a direct tram from the central station by the way which is ten min then a short walk, don’t listen to google maps which can tell you to take the train which is way longer. Their bar is super cool and homely. Seriously have nothing bad to say about this place or the town, loved it!

I was really lucky that i was the only one in the 3 bed dorm but it was really clean and spacious enough even if the room has full occupancy! Bear in mind of their check in timing as there is only people at the Bar at 12-1pm onwards. I went there too early at 11 and wrongly assumed that i can always put my bags down. The apartments are very nice and in a quite setting. The courtyard garden had a small playground that our kids enjoyed very much. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming. We forgot something in the apartment, which was sent to us by mail! Overall a fantastic service, and we will definitely visit again.

Location is far from city, for road trip will be fine. No reception service at night, kiosk check in only before you get in the motel or you have to call staff to come for help. Hard ware is not good and Not very clean compare with other hotel in Germany with similar price.

Great value for money, close to the Bayerischer Bahnhof (just 2 stops to Markt). Rooms are not serviced daily, and just one towel provided for a 3-night stay, but clean, comfortable and wifi provided. Outside (limited) reception hours, access is via a back street that is poorly lit - take a torch!

A beautiful Penthouse room, however there were many aspects of this stay which were very unsettling: 1. A beautiful Penthouse room, however there were many aspects of this stay which were very unsettling: 1. Agoda stated that the payment had to be made in the local currency (fine), but when I got to the hotel, the actual payment had to be made in cash dropped into a safety box, for which I still do not have the receipt. Hopefully the hotel sends it within the three promised days on their notification, but I find this a dishonest and unacceptable way of running a business. 2. The lift does not work to all floors. 3. This is not a hotel, but a residential apartment block. There is no reception, no staff to assist when you need help, and no-one to open a door if you arrive early. There is also nowhere to leave your bags after returning the key. 4. There were discrepancies between the German and English instructions in the guest information (e.g. key drop information and WiFi information). 5. WiFi is not always reliable, and the given instructions were not complete. Took several messages to the owner (at international calling rates) to work this out. 6. Washing machines were in a cellar, run by an external company, and were filthy. I found it scary going to the cellar by myself. 7. The apartment is called something different: Hentschels Apartments 8. The apartment is 1 k walk from the main station (there is a tram which is one stop from the main station). A really nice room, but could never stay here again, as I didn't feel it was managed according to international standards. If you get sick or injured here, there is literally no-one to help you. Better for couples or families.

I think I died and went to heaven. I've been to Rome, Venice, Florence and Pompeii to name a few, but never to the Italian Alps, or Sicily or even Capri. Now imagine staying in an Italian villa in all of these places rolled into one. This is the only way I can describe (using both past experience and sheer imagination) Hotel and Restaurante Don Giovanni. Directions from Leipzig Haupthahnhof (main train station): 1) In front of train station catch the #3 tram (toward Taucha), and get off at Scwartzestrabe, approximately 20 minutes. 2) Hotel and Restaurante Don Giovanni is approximately 100 m around the corner. We we're welcomed by the hard working family managing this menagerie as we entered the Alice and Wonderland meets Pinocchio and Tinker Bell oases. We stayed on the top floor in room 5 with vaulted ceiling, multiple skylights, recessed LED lighting, and custom mosaic tile. The suite was furnished in a hybrid Tuscan Classic Contemporary style, with glitter-ball chandelier included. And the bathroom styled in much the same way was then peppered with modern sleek nickel fixtures including the contoured jacuzzi tub built for two. Includes free multiple device internet throughout the room and complex. For a modest €9.50 per person we ate breakfast in the winter garden, surrounded by green indoor foliage, marble water fountain, high opaque circus ceiling, knight armor, and various multiple jars of Italian olive, tomato, and green red pepper jars. And I can't forget the bird and lizard habitat on the far end of the garden, where I swear to God I saw the chameleon, with lightning speed, nab an insect. Enjoy.....

Expensive breakfast, greedy pricing... not even a welcome bottle water. Gym has exactly 3 bottles of water available and no water machine... super disappointed by key card system. Had to go every day to the reception to unlock a separate card for the gym.... in hindsight a „good“ offer turns out to be a trick...

More about Leipzig
Shopping, dining, and exploring the sites are the things to do in Leipzig. And when it comes to the sites, there are many. The City History Museum is housed in the Renaissance-styled Old Town Hall that was built in the 1500s, and the St. Thomas Church and Bach Museum are gorgeous architecture and insight into one of history’s greatest composers and musicians. The city’s largest church is Nokilaikirche, the starting point of the German Reunification. The city’s history in commerce is kept alive in fair houses and the passages that make for a unique expedition, from the oldest at Speck’s Hof and Hansahaus to the upscale shops and bars of Mädlerpassage. The Monument to the Battle of the Nations commemorates the Battle of Leipzig that cost more than 100,000 lives with battlefield tours visiting the sites of this great struggle. Riverside woods and parks create some natural respite when in the need for green, and a trip to Bimbo Town can’t be anything but fun.
Be sure to check out the interactive map of Leipzig for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
