Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City
Pasay,Manila - View on map
"This is a great airport hotel in Manila. The domestic terminal (Terminal 3) is right across the street (can't walk to it, however). Terminal 1 (international) and Terminal 2 (Philippine Airlines) is just down the road. As long as traffic isn't bad, it should take too long to get to T1 or T2. A free airport shuttle is available on-the-hour 24 hours a day. Note that there is a separate bus for each terminal. The hotel is also right next to Resort World and Casino, which has a shopping mall, casino, and slew of up-scale restaurants. A 7-11 and McDonald's is also at the base of the hotel. Check-in and out was very easy. The staff are very helpful. They even helped me print a document for free. The rooms are a bit small, so if you have a lot of baggage, the room might feel a little cramped. The internet is ok for Philippine standards. The only major issue with the hotel is the noise. With major construction on one side and busy roads on the other sides, it's not the quietest of environments. A high floor room might be better. Overall, it's a nice hotel that feels new and modern. I'd stay again. Once all the construction is done in the area, it will be better."

Dusit Thani Manila (Multiple-Use Hotel)
Makati,Manila - View on map
"My wife and I reside full time in the Philippines and therefore have stayed in many different hotels in Manila. This was the first time we had stayed in the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel and we were thoroughly impressed. From the welcome each time at the front door by "Gino" the Door Man as we arrived back from shoppimg to the help and support which was extended to us from the Concierge Department and the pleasant smiling faces of all the staff we were made to feel so welcome and were treated all the time as VIP guests. Well done Dusit Thani Manila Hotel! You have got our business from now on and we will be back to stay with you again real soon. Best regards and thank you."

Eurotel Pedro Gil Hotel
Malate,Manila - View on map
"I have stayed at numerous Manila hotels in the past 20 years on my way to and from a second home in Cebu from NY-USA. For me a small, efficient and affordable accomodation convient to NAIA such as the Eurotel Pedro Gil is fine, especially if you are traveling solo. Wouldn't recommend for families as rooms are smaller sized on the order of the old European hotels of the post-World War II era. "

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila (Staycation and Multi-use Hotel)
Manila Bay,Manila - View on map
"i thoroughly enjoyed my 7 night stay at the sofitel philippine plaza manila hotel. i have traveled all over europe from london to the netherlands, germany, lithuania, thailand and finally manila and i have to say this is the most luxurious hotel i have visited during my month long journey. although a little pricier than some of the other hotels in the area it is still a great bargain as i booked through agoda.com. i had a room with both a view of manila bay and the city skyline as well as a perfect view of the incredible swimming pool. it was incredible and i just have to say the food is delicious and affordable for the quality and presentation. i did not eat in the restaurants but constantly ordered room service and it was amazing. you have to try to mango cheesecake and the creme brulee...you will thank me later...i promise. the staff is great and always check on you to make sure all your needs are met. this place was wonderful and if my travels ever bring me back to manila then this is definitely where i will be staying! i have only one bad thing to say and it is minor but could be a major factor some...you have to pay $7.00 per day usd for internet access in a day where even mcdonalds offers free hi speed internet access this is a very poor decision on the part of the hotel. as much as i enjoyed the hotel i have to admit that if i had known this before booking i would not have made the reservation. this is just my personal opinion but to the management i would reconsider your internet policy especially for a hotel in manila with such a higher price point. so that being said i just want to make sure travelers that are tied to their tablets and notebooks take this into consideration. they do i believe offer free wi fi in the lobby area but who wants to trek down to the lobby when you should be able to lounge in the room pajama style with a nice cup of coffee while catching up on the days business at hand. Okada Manila

"Okada Manila is the perfect place to stay! The best hotel in Manila based from my experience! Was upgraded to Manila Bay Suite. Room was so huge and clean as well as their amenities. Hotel staff were all kind, friendly and accommodating. Food was great from both Medley Buffet and Kiapo. My daughter enjoyed PLAY! Fountain show was spectacular! I highly recommend this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Will most definitely come back. "

Seda Vertis North – Multiple Use Hotel
Quezon City,Manila - View on map
"I booked a total of 12 rooms for two nights in Seda Vertis North for our wedding preps. Seven rooms for one night from the wedding package, and the rest is through multiple bookings with Agoda. Check-in was a breeze! It could have been a nightmare because of the many booking reference numbers that we have and our requests to have specific rooms on a certain floor. But Valerie from the front desk handled it very well without saying "no" to any of our requests. Rooms are spacious and very clean! Our bookings composed of Deluxe Kings, Deluxe Twins, a Premier Room and Corner Suites so I got to see all the room categories. Buffet breakfast is good! Our friends and family from the US loved it. Club Lounge is also good. It's at par with other 5-star hotels in Manila. Straight Up Bar has a nice ambiance with good music. We stayed until closing for two nights! Too bad we can't stay for a longer time. The pool is good! The kids enjoyed it. And lastly, parking was easy. Thanks, Seda!"

Regency Grand Suites
Malate,Manila - View on map
"My Filipina girlfriend and I decided to book 6days in the Regency Grand Suite and hoped it would be perfect for my last weeks stay in the Philippines. We were NOT dissappointed! We were greeted by the friendlest receptionist called Joseph who did everything for us from check us in to fixing the WIFI connection :) from there the stay in the hotel just got better. The location is perfect if you want to be central to Malate and it's right next to the mall. We stayed on the 32nd floor so obviously it was very quiet if you wanted to get away from the nightlife. The gym and the pool (very cold water ha) were great perfect to sit beside and relax. There are plenty of lovely Asian restaurants next to the hotel and the hotel is only short drive (100php) from Markati and the Fort. The room (a suite) was perfect it had plenty of power points (universal for 3pin plugs) a kitchen area with a microwave, kettle and fridge perfect for making snacks. The shower room was cozy and modern (don't forget to switch on the water heater) and after switching the water heater on the hot rain shower was wonderful. The view was magnificent from the 32nd floor balcony viewing out onto Manila bay and the cities beyond. The bed is huge but the space around the bed is limited but never the less its very cozy and perfect for me and my filipina girlfriend. The room also had a very modern flat screen TV with satelite channels such as HBO and PBO and other filipino channels. In short our stay in the Regency Grand Suites was wonderful and we shall most certainly be booking to stay here again on my next holiday. Special thanks to Joseph on reception who was amazing at getting us settled and was so attentive throughout our stay there. Many Thanks to all the team."

City Garden Suites Hotel
Ermita,Manila - View on map
"We have stayed in a standard room during October. Room was nice, clean and well maintained. TV is old but has dissent channel selection. So for Standard room is actually was nice. Our room was located near the elevator, but we could not hear it. On the downside, for me, I can mention only air-conditioning which was really freezing even at low fan and 24deg. WiFi is relatively fast to what I have seen in Philippines. In the lobby with good signal strength I was able download at 0.17Mbps. Breakfast is Filipino style with western touch like eggs, bacon, cereals, milk, juices. Location is probably good, why probably? because at night we were suggested not to go out. But there are embassies near by and other good hotels. I think in general in Manila, if you are foreigner, it is better to use taxi from point to point and not walk the streets. Taxi drivers always locked the doors and sometimes asked not to open windows... If you can, leave Manila for the end for your trip and don't spend much time there. Philippines have much more to offer outside metro Manila. So overall price was good, service ok and location not so bad"

More about Manila

The capital of the Philippines, Manila is one of the busiest and most densely populated cities in South East Asia. The city is served by Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and travelers have a wide range of accommodations from which to choose with many options available near the airport, Pasay, and Manila Bay.

The commercial center of the city is Makati, where a wide array of restaurants and bars cater to practically any taste and offer everything from Chinese cuisine to American cheeseburgers. In the middle of the chaotic city are many parks to provide a respite to locals and travelers, with Rizal Park being the most iconic.

Another popular attraction in Manila is the 18th-century Fort Santiago in Intramuros, which was once a prison but has since been transformed into a park.

Commonly considered one of the better amusement parks in Manila, Enchanted Kingdom is perhaps the most popular destination for young adventurers. Separated into themed areas, the park features a great many rides, including one of the tallest rollercoasters in the world. With many exciting attractions, culture, and historic architecture, Manila is definitely a destination not to be missed.
