Best hotels & accommodations in Massa Lubrense

This property was the highlight of our trip. Although you need a car to get here from Sorrento, it was well worth it. Luigi and Anna Maria were so friendly and welcoming, we felt like family. The advice on things to do in the area was great. The room was a great size, beautifully presented, comfortable and the view is amazing.

The hotel front desk staff were so helpful. The hotel is wonderful if you dont mind being out of the way. Very peaceful. Heard there was a shuttle into sorrento but pretty much hung around the hotel. Used to having bed tea, so every morning going down for the same an requesting and getting a hot kettle in return with an awesome smiling face. Parking is free and we missed the Friday market which is a big hit. We basically are coming again with family.

Great clean and modern Agriturismo! Clean and modern rooms and bathrooms with amenities. Pino and Libi were very kind and generous hosts. Pino went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Libi was very well versed in what to see and how and helped us plan our days. Highly recommended! Thanks again Pino and Libi! - Reena and Shahzad

We upgraded one room to a sea view balcony, well worth the money, but the standard room was a little small and poky. The hotel was beautifully kept on the whole, with fairly modern rooms and clean communal areas. There was some minor damage to rooms that one might not expect at a four star- broken mirrors etc. The highlights were definitely the view and the staff, who were very friendly, offering a personal service and very happy to give honest advice about the surrounding area, and restaurants in the village, despite offering a restaurant service themselves. One downside we were disappointed with was the standard of the breakfast offered- the food was not great, and the coffee was from a machine like you might find in a car show room. On the whole we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends wanting to visit the Amalfi coast but not wanting to stay in the hustle and bustle of Sorrento.

Following the given street address in Sorrento, we ended up in another hotel. Staff in this other hotel knew well about it because it happens to many visitors, and directed us to the correct hotel 5 km away. The villa is an annex to a large aging Grand Hotel Herminate. Following the given street address in Sorrento, we ended up in another hotel. Staff in this other hotel knew well about it because it happens to many visitors, and directed us to the correct hotel 5 km away. The villa is an annex to a large aging Grand Hotel Herminate. Even if we booked Villa Romita, we were first given a dark, faded, hill-facing room in the main Grand Hotel Herminate building, and were refused a room with a view. Then we were finally given a room in Villa Romita. The next surprise was when we tried to use the refrigerator but it was “cordless” and not running. We were thinking it was a new model that runs on gas, battery, or something like that, and when we asked the staff, they told us that to use the refrigerator, we have to pay 10 euros for the cord! Overall, the room could be rated as a decent 3 star room. It was of reasonable size and in OK shape but with a cheap and tiny TV. Even if the room didn’t have much view, there was a beautiful view of Sorrento from the roof terrace. The hotel has a nice pool that also sports a nice view of Sorrento far below. The rather noisy road just outside of the hotel somewhat spoils the peaceful atmosphere, though. The breakfast was one of the worst we had during out 2 week vacation in Italy and the cleanliness could be questioned. For example, the boiled eggs were so unappealing that we could not force ourselves to eat them.

What can I say about the overflow pool other than it blends with the blue of the Sea and sky . Our room was amazing with an amazing corner garden, hamak, reading table .... heaven truly heaven . The food and staff are amazing . U need to stay more than 2 nights to really take in the splendour of the place . We will be back for sure!!!

Very poor check in process, nothing explained, rushed. Internet in the room non functional. Very noisy, dogs barked incessantly next door between 2 AM and 6 AM. Dining area is exquisite, food and food service staff excellent. Go there for dinner, but do not spend the night. Breakfast very poor mostly carbs, lots of bread.

First I'll say the room was clean. And the view is awesome. But then you need to know that you CAN NOT drive to the hotel. You must park in town and have a shuttle come get you. Once there if you want to eat you must walk into town. As there's no shuttle once u arrive. No where on the site does it say that it's a walk in hotel only. I wasted an hour trying to find the ...

I wasted an hour trying to find the place with gps. The lobby told us we could eat dinner at the restaurant at 7:30 once 7:30 arrived we were told no. We must walk to town. Let's just say I was very stressed by the time I finally got to relax. The walk into town is only about 15 min. But if you have kids that can be pretty difficult and scary as part of the walk is on a narrow street with no side walk or shoulder as well as plent of sharp curves that you or the cars can see around. They advertise wifi. But you can't get it if you leave the lobby. And if you have an apple device. Forget it. Your not getting wifi at all. Was very dissatisfied with my exp.

Each morning I'd wake up to a very peaceful, joyful energy in the place...I've only ever felt that joy and lightness in an ashram in India. They have created a very very special spot. I wish I could go back and just stay there and not leave, just to enjoy the lovely peace and joy they have created there. It was a wonderful stay and a respite from the crowded, touristy areas surrounding the hotel. They put a great deal of care and love into the place, and you can feel it through and through.
