it was quite a long drive from kuala terengganu to merang, but it was worth it! it was all more beautiful than we imagined it would be (from the pictures). the beach was clean, the breeze was cool, there was also an overflowing pool and a kids pool and the food was great. we will surely come back with family and friends too!

Initially I was a bit sceptic about this place after reading all the reviews and this place is rated at 6 plus. However Im glad i chose this hotel...I called and wanted to check in early but was decline because the palce is fully book...What ???..fully booked..? This is a good indication. I arrived there and this place look nothing like being describe by other r...

We stayed at Terrapuri for 1 night after the trip to Redang Island. We chose the seaview villa (Kedai Buluh). Though it's a bit overpriced and got only few facilities, we had a very pleasant stay there. We planned the trip beforehand like few months away, the sales co-ordinator continuously answered our enquiries without impatience and even provided us with some sugges...

I stayed only one night at GRimbun Chalet and my friend and I are heading to Merang Jetty in the next morning. Well, we think that the Chalet is quite fine, highly recommended for those groups who are finding for budget hotel. 4 of us stayed in 1 room ( with two Queen size bed) and the price is only RM60. It was air-conditioned, but no wi-fi ( we don't mind actually). ...

Traveler impressions of Merang
Close to Jetty to Redang Island.. a very beautiful island in Terengganu.. Snorkeling, Scuba diving..heaven!
Nice resort but dirty beach surrounding it also needs better transportation to and from hotel cans try to over charge you!
Merang has not much to offer other than clean and nice long beaches which are not crowded by tourists (gives you a good relaxing environment).
Merang was a good, nice place to be visited again next time. But one thing to take into consideration is to have a better and friendly customer service.
although according to Lonely planet, it's a dull village, actually it's a quiet and friendly place to stay.
Merang is an idyllic and relaxing fishing village area. Well-known for jetties to nearby islands such as Redang and Lang Tengah.
Very good place impressive variety of food. Ilike the palace because of natural surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere.
Very village-type of town. No local attractions and lack of local restaurants except a few thai-food stalls open at night.
I not visited so much places in Merang City. I visited only the beach areas which is nice to travel.
Very good place to have a nice break from hectic working life. Can get very good rests mind and body.
