Best hotels & accommodations in Miyakonojo

A nice small-size family run hotel business. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is a bit out of place, only suitable for self-drive tourists. Quiet and traditional onsen. The breakfast is nice, serve in semi-buffet style, but absolutely give you a surprise.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel and hardly a 3 star but the fact it has some practical facilities and is new is what it has going for it. There is very little English spoken but a bit is understood. Parking is good but the foyer is small. Nevertheless check in was organized. Rooms were small but well equipped with a jug, great air con. a desk and a simple vie...

There is very little English spoken but a bit is understood. Parking is good but the foyer is small. Nevertheless check in was organized. Rooms were small but well equipped with a jug, great air con. a desk and a simple view. The breakfast was awful and thankfully there was a McDonalds right next door to save the day. The Internet was easy and fast and although the hotel was fairly busy, the rooms were super quiet. What I didn't like was the bedding with its pillow which seemed to have stones in one end and the quilt cover which was an awful polyester. Thankfully there was a sheet. The room was bright and new and very basic but the rates for the weekend we stayed were unrealistically high. So in summary It's OK for a town such as Miyakanojo which doesn't offer much in the way of decent hotels.
