The area of this hotel has nothing to recommend except for the local restaurant called Mr Lee - the assistant manager was exceptionally helpful as were the rest of the staff.
Very surprised by Nanchang. A real mix of the old and the new. Plenty of choices for eating out and a good selection of nightlife if you want it.
The pavilion and the temple are well worth a visit. We stayed in January when it is cold and nothing looks at its best but still found enough to enjoy for the 5 days we stayed. Those looking for glitz and glamour should not visit , at least not for another 5 years but if you want to experience e real Chinese City that is both old and modern and a mix of all life then Nanchang has plenty to offer. This is not a holiday destinaTion but if you find it necessary to visit Nanchang the city has plenty to offer.
