More about Oxford

There are very few people who are not familiar with at least Oxford name, and the place itself is just as famous. Located in the small county of Oxfordshire, this is the oldest university town in the country and one of the most famous university cities in the world. The area is rich in many architecturally and historically significant colleges, some of which even have visiting hours and fees for tourists. The easiest way to reach Oxford is by rail or bus from London, as the small airport in the county is only for private and charter planes.

Of course wandering around Oxford and its many colleges is the main event of a visit to this city, and one of the most famous destinations is Christ Church College. This grand building has a famous association with cultural icons such as Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland, and is therefore very popular among tourists. On the other hand, some of the best views of Oxford’s beautiful landscape can be seen from the campus of Exeter College, which also happens to be one of the oldest colleges in the school. A visit to Oxford is one of the most interesting itineraries for anyone in this part of the United Kingdom.
