This hotel is ideally located to explore Pangkor Island with a quick 10 minute trip on a ferry which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Half price return ferry tickets available to guests. Superior accommodation compared to Pangkor island. Breakfast has good choices and evening meals are prepared fresh with a good variety at very reasonable rates. Hire a bicycle, play table tennis or place a deposit for board games which can be enjoyed in the large hotel suites. Some rooms have a bath and a superb central shower. Staff are friendly and accommodating with prompt assistance when needed. Car parking free at the hotel for guests and there is a small shopping area at the Pier. This was the best place we have stayed throughout our visit to both Thailand and Malaysia. Highly recommended hotel to explore Pangkor which is quiet during week days. All rooms have balconies and fantastic sea views. It is difficult to believe other comments made about this hotel as we didn't experience any of these, so maybe they have been addressed and rectified.

First things first, this is at best a three star resort overall. However due to the location and price, it easily made it the right choice for us. The resort is probably the newest on the island (but judging by the work going on all around, won't be for long) and this shows in the rooms, dining and particularly the pool area. The latter is excellent. Open 10-10 daily, it offers a good alternative to the beach. Of these, there are two on the doorstep of the resort. By far the best is coral bay, which is a two minute stroll, no more. Food is good at the resort - both breakfast and lunch gave western and local options at a decent price. They do not serve dinner however. But there are plenty of other places nearby to eat, and a well stocked mini-mart is two doors away - ideal for snacks, water, beer etc. There is free wifi in the lobby area which is a bonus and the staff were all very helpful. I was slightly dismayed by the negative reviews on TA about the resort. My first line is key - this is a three star resort, so you will not get the trappings of a five star resort, but you are not paying for it! Overall, given the value for money, location and amenities I would recommend this place above all else on the island and would return here again. This is from somebody who took weeks to make the decision on which hotel we stayed in on Pulau Pangkor! So I hope this helps you decide.

i came to this hotel with mixed feelings in the beginning because of some negative reviews in the agoda website. after all, the date i chose was a super peak time at pangkor (aidilfitri holidays -- the muslim people's celebration after a month of fasting) but surprisingly the service was quite fast. and despite the fact that the agoda voucher indicates that the room i paid for is for two adults, i was given breakfast vouchers for three person which i must applaud because some other hotels would charge you for the extra person (i do paid for the deluxe room though and it is a room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed). the room i stayed in was quite spacious, and well-equipped with fridge, tv, hairdryer etc. but it would be much better if they also include iron in the room (they have an ironing room though if you needed to use one). the tv was quite ok although the channels were standard malaysian channel (no hbo or any of that except for espn) but you can rent a dvd player to pass the time. the bathroom is acceptable, hot and cold water included. the breakfast choices was good, and the restaurant staffs were also very hardworking. the spreads were promptly topped and the taste was quite good. all in all, had a great time here. i had a restful sleep, and so did my parents. and as our main objective was to rest, i think coral bay is perfect for that.

We arrived on Pangkor with the 7:30 am ferry. The receptionist and owner were very considerate as we had travelled all through the night from Kota Bharu to Lumut. We could check into our room straight away and received a complimentary breakfast on top of that. The room was perfect. Very clean and modern. The whole complex is very well looked after and the pool was excellent. The location is great on a nice beach (water sport activities on the doorstep) Good motorbikes and motorcycles are available for hire at the reception. When traveling around the island it became obvious that Pangkor Sandy Beach Resort is definitely one of the best we have seen. The owner is continuously looking into improving the resort, and he's got some good plans. We would definitely return here in a couple of years time when traveling in Malaysia again.

I've promise Wan(Staff/Receptionist) that I will give a good review for Nipah Bay Villa. So Wan, I hope you're reading this. Here we go! I booked 2 Standard and 1 Deluxe Chalet, but I was given 2 Deluxe Chalet and 1 Standard with no extra fee. I called before and request if they can accommodate this 3 Chalet nearby to each other, and they really put an effort to make sure we got things we needs with no extra payment! However, I'm quite upset with the Standard Chalet as it located in front of the cafe. I have to close the door so the food smell/smoke wont go to the room. There's no privacy as there's a lot of people in front of our standard chalet and I can't even slide the curtain as people will see us, the air ventilation is not so good there and I can't even open my window as it's lock. Here's come the good part! I went to Wan and asked if we can change room, unfortunate for us that we are not able to change it on the first night as they are fully booked. Wan really apologize and say that he would change the room for us if they are not fully booked, and he even dun have a gut to asked us to change to the economy room even there's a availability for this kind of room. He said that he and Villa Bay don't want us to feel very uncomfortable and will change to other Standard Chalet first thing in the morning the next day. Again, with NO extra charge. We even almost forget that we have a deal to change the room, till one of the receptionist asked us, when we want to change the room. I feel so much better after changing the room and the customer service is very good for 2 star hotel. Maybe can be better, but we are satisfied. The 3 chalet literally 2 second away, and it's clean and smell good! The location is nearby to everything! 5 min walking distance from the clean blue-ish/green-ish beach and a lot of cheap restaurant is there, there's a mini market.. karaoke..burger stalls.. souvenir shops..everything! I will definitely come back here..!

its nice but fishing wise not recommended so. otherwise very nice..the chalet right in front of sea so gives a different feeling.jetty to pangkor island is very near,walking distance only(jetty complex RM 14.00 (two way). staff is very friendly. The cafe food is not so nice need to improve the taste of it. for a big group this place is actually suits as cheap and comfortable.

We booked Garden Villa Chalet. Arrived earlier than the check in time, to our surprise the room is ready for us although the hotel was almost full. Very smooth check in. Less than 10 minutes after we arrived, we already in the room. We don't expect much from this hotel as we are very well aware most of the hotels in Pangkor needs major refurbishment to be done. Although the furniture is quite old but the room is clean. Room with mini fridge and kettle. For muslim, they provide sajada in the room. Pool is ok. Breakfast was not that bad, they have egg station, toast bread butter and jam,very tasty fried rice,fried noodle, noodle soup,, porridge, sausages, samosa, and fruits. Coffee tea and juices. Friendly and helpful staff. The most important things I like about Puteri Bayu Beach Resort was the beach right in front of the hotel, just a few steps we already at the beach.... we manage to catch the beautiful sunset in the evening. :)

There were 30 of us including senior citizens, baby, toddlers and young children 😄 I would like to thank PBVR for getting our room ready...all of the rooms ready when we arrived and this made me the happiest person in charge on that day 😄 Thank you to both of the receptionists for a kind assistance. The swimming pool was good. Kids enjoyed playing there..nearby to the beach, food stalls and mini market. Will return again in future. Thank you Pangkor Bay View Resort 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It is one of the most original hotels you can find in Pangkor The Popular Beach called Nipah is a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Joe Fisherman Inn will give you the perfect Island experience. The owner explained us that the used materials are eco-friendly what is a nice touch. Besides the large pool (the one thing you want after a hot day at the beach),there is a big rooftop, where you have a great view on Pangkor jungle and beach. The rooms itself are not that spacious but look great with the wooden finish. It is a minimalistic modern look with the white bed sheets and towels in contrast with the dark wood (btw there is television) The staff were really friendly, they took time to welcome us and give us some guidance about the Island. We certainly book at Joe fisherman Inn again when we visit Pangkor Island.

Customer service from the reception desk is exceptionally superb! Well done! Special thanks to Ms Ayu and another guy( forgot his name), the one a bit chubby for entertaining all my needs during my stay at the resort. Swimming pool is good. My youngest son, aged 9 years old enjoyed it very much. Resort is just about 5 mins walk to the beach and local eateries. Would stay there again if i am in pangkor. One set back is that the wooden chalets in front need some refurbishment. But above all, the resort is comfortable and value for money

This will one of the best and budgeted hotel in Pangkor. Love the environment. It is convenient if you have rented motor or car.

Nothing much to say as i have been staying here every time visited to Pangkor Island. A nice place to stay with so many shops and stalls nearby.

This is the 1st time we are staying on Pangkor Island itself. The hotel itself is simple in its set up and rooms were clean & comfortable. Located a short taxi ride to Pekan Pangkor and within walking distance to Pantai Pasir Bongak with lots of eateries located nearby. Room was acceptable - clean and comfortable and it came with a simple local breakfast. Staff were friendly. Overall we had a comfortable stay. Our special thanks goes to Pn. Rosmah for going the extra mile - being very supportive and accommodating to our needs - in making our stay a comfortable & memorable one. I was travelling with my mother in her 70's. Thumbs up to Pn. Rosmah for her hospitality, responsiveness and being proactive. This really made a world of difference to us. Will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again in my future trips to Pangkor.

i arrived there at 26 April 2015 a 1pm and the check in time at 2 pm. However, the friendly staff allow me to check in early and allowed me to switch room which had the best view. the room has no tv but i do not mind because i spent most of my time outside. the chalet is not suitable for elderly due to its location that need you to climb up. breakfast is so-so but i do not mind. staffs are super friendly and they wee very welcoming. the hotel is not the best, but it sure does make you feel happy staying there. compared to my previous stay at Pangkor, this hotel sure does much better and nice on a traveller who are in tight budget. sincerely, i would recommend the hotel for someone prefers nice views on the hills.

While seeking a place to stay online, didn’t took me long to shortlist, then eventually booked Hotel Nelayan... ... as it easily stood out from the rest of Pulau Pangkor‘s dated, tired and sometimes, dodgy accommodations on offer. My actual experience staying at the hotel did not disappoint- the hotel looks exactly as the pictures suggested, reception is pleasant and efficient, my room is spacious and clean... satisfying all I would ask for. Location is perfect for me as the jetty and plenty of local food place is within less than (15mins) reach on foot. The beach isn’t too far either. You can explore easily on foot if you wish (provided that you‘re a keen walker). This place sure is commendable, actually look no further... ... probably the best you can find in P. Pangkor!

Hotel location is near to KFC & 7-Eleven but a bit too far fro the beach. If you want to go to Pangkor, isn't beach is the reason? So walking to pasir bogak beach may take 15 minutes but if you take the taxi it will be 3 minutes. But pasir bogak beach is not the best. All the interaction are located at teluk nipah. So price wise maybe good but not a good location for Pangkor vacation.

We stayed on Pangkor for 2 nights as our first stop in Malaysia. The budget beach resort looked like it might be a cheap but clean accommodation close to the beach. And this is what it is like! Only 5 minutes walk to the coral bay which is very beautiful and where you also find some beach restaurants. The room was easy but it really had all we needed for the short stay! Including blankets and towels.

Me and my friends stayed at vikri for 4 nites,i must say this is the best stay i had in pangkor,iv been to pangkor many times,vikri is very quiet,very friendly husband and wife owners,friendly staff and the best home made indian thosai with fish curry by the beach is something really u cant miss,we will surely recommend this place to all,vikri will be even better if the shower and bugs are fixed but there is nothing to complain about the beds that vikri use,it is so soft and comfortable,if at all you guys gonna stay there,please please try their home cook food which has to be informed earlier.

This unit is so much better than the one I rented at Best Western block ( The other block at Marina Island Apartment ) one night earlier. The price offered here is so much cheaper for a better, cleaner and bigger unit. My kids enjoyed their stay here compared to the one they stayed earlier. Will come back again for our next holiday.

Great service from the hotel operator/boss!!! The best in Pangkor if you want to enjoy the real Pangkor! Not easy to find a well maintain place to stay in Pangkor.. You can reach all places with a renting bike.. Hotel comes with fish feeding, sea fishing, nice jetty,benches to hangout, bbq, water, beers, snacks, coffee, etc You will surely enjoying this place either you are a local, foreigner, couple, family, group..keep it up !

The Island Hotel is really a good location.. it's central in Pangkor. it seen like a new hotel.. not too big but everything is ok and satisfy... beside the hotel.. that's alot food stall, cafe, mamak.. u can rent motor or taking travel package in this hotel.. hotel's service is good.. officer is always with lovely smile... it's very kind person.. intro alot nice place to us.. overall is not bad.. budgeted hotel:)

dear customer, i and my family stay 3days and 2 night at beststay hotel in pangkor island. the hotel price very reasonable and the maintenance very clean and need. just 1km for pangkor beach and shops for food and shopping is just walking distance. for the people who first time going to this hotel, my advise is please take rental motor with this beststay hotel, the motor is very good condition and i am very happy with their service thank you

Location is on the side of the island with the locals and fishing boats. well worth the it to see the real heart of pangkor. The food is delicious and fish is right out of the sea. We felt at home for the few days we were there and recommend it to those who want to experience the real pangkor not just the hotel.

We chosed to stay at the Pangkor Guesthouse so we could experience the life in the local fishing village. It was a fantastic decision because over at the touristy beach areas, once the sun goes down, there really wasn't much happening unless you're at the hotel bar or something. The location of the guesthouse was central to many local food stalls that were super cheap (local prices) and you can get fresh food made to order at really almost any time. We stayed in a room on the first floor with two twin beds that included our own bathroom/shower combo. One of the best things about the guesthouse was how environmentally green it was. There was a lot of repurposed wood from the surrounding waters built into the GH. The pricing was fantastic for how clean and comfortable it was. There's two lounging common areas. The BEST thing about staying at PG-SPK was the host/owner Joyce! She was who really made our trip to Pangkor the best of all the locations we visited on our trip. She showed us around the village (walking); we attempted to lure out the local wild hogs to feed them; hung out with local kids playing around the village; told us great tips on what to see around the island; which stalls to eat at (the auntie with the chicken curry noodles MMM!); helped arrange for us to rent a scooter to ride around the island; hung out with us and was just a wealth of information and fun. Joyce is really passionate about having visitors learn about Pangkor and all it has to offer as well as really getting to know all her guests. There are so many great experiences from our stay in Pangkor and the guesthouse that I can go on and on. We wish her all the best and will definitely stay there again without hesitation the next time we make a trip to Pangkor, especially if Joyce continues to be the one who runs the guesthouse.

A nice place to stay in pangkor. a new building, nice pool. security is an issue vut i guess pangkor is small island.

Strategic location! We get in touch with Evolet after done booking. She is really helpful in providing all kinds of info to help our itinerary planning in Pangkor. She helped us to book the scooter and recommended delicious food around the town. Definitely will go back to her for the next visit to Pangkor!

I have no complains. Many owners should interact with tenants daily to see if there's anything needed to be done. Calls went unanswered. In hotels guests can always get in touch with the front desk easily.
