"Only a couple of bad points. One being the shower head was too low. I didn't fit under it and I'm not a tall person. The bed was too hard and only had a think blanket on the bed which made it cold in winter. The person that had the room next to us was yelling and arguing with someone till 3am. This is not necessarily the hotels fault but when there are plenty of rooms available then there should be more separation. It was a clean hotel. And for the price I paid I couldn't really complain. "Overall the room cost per night was definitely worth staying for 2 nights but however, the kitchen downstairs give me bad vibes as no one in the hotel cleans up the mess and therefore the housekeepers should also take more responsibility for cleaning the kitchen area. Despite being the only guest in the hotel room for 2 nights in a row, I would've much preferred to stay in a different hotel room with just 1 single bed for myself. "

"The hostel is not new, as with almost all buildings in Perth. They have a lot of options for rooms (twin, twin bunk, dorm, etc). The standout was the service. The staff remembers everyone's faces and are very helpful (i lost my key and they returned it, they helped us get an airport taxi, etc). "

"Mostly (but not entirely) single storey, this hotel spreads itself somewhat, but the rooms, not luxurious & somewhat plain, are well appointed with bathroom & kitchen (no microwave in either of the rooms I stayed in). Restaurant is good "middle-of-the-road" & does an excellent breakfast. Staff are very helpful & friendly. Shuttle-bus to and from the airport is wonderful (all 3 terminals) but has to be caught at the right pick-up place. Public bus into the city available at end of the street (about 400 metres away). Parking not a problem if you are driving. Excellent value for money! Hotel's advantage is ease of access to airport but it's too far out in the suburbs for conveniently seeing Perth. "

"Love staying at the Alex and was remembered when I checked in from my previous visits...I was even given my favourite room to stay in as well. Great way to spend Australia day relaxing with friends and drinking wine before heading up to the rooftop garden and watching the Perth Skyworks show. Breakfast included the following morning and served to 11am and while the continental options are still free, there is now the option to have a hot breakfast as well (extra charge). And I also love the fact that unlike a lot of hotels in Perth, checkout isn't til midday!! So loads of time to sleep in and have a late breakfast and not be rushed to leave the hotel! Cannot wait for the next time to stay at this hotel!!"

"The hotel is situated in a very good and convenient location: 1) The red CAT bus stop is right in front of the hotel. 2) The CONNECT airport shuttle stops at Kings Perth Hotel, which is walking distance to Travelodge Hotel Perth. 3) The underground train station is also within walking distance. 4) There's a convenient shop located nearby the hotel. It was a very comfortable stay and the hotel staff were all very helpful. However, I am not too happy when I called the reception and they put me on hold on the line for far too long, while they attended to other guests at the lobby. I think it would be advisable to have a separate line or to have more staff where one attends to the line while the other attends to the guests at the lobby. Overall, I am very satisfied with my hotel stay in Perth. "

"Location is superb! Near to CBD where you can enjoy weekend night at CBD squares. Night market on friday nite. Near muslim restaurant. Insan Cafe just beside the hotel and Love & Care Cafe at the corner. Ispa Kebeb about 500mtrs if you lazy to cook! Perth underground was about 500mtrs for us to explore Fremantle & Mandhurah by train. Caretaker needs to spend more time to check on cleanliness of the kitchen esp at night. Parking was at aud22 per night & very expensive if you just need to park at night. Overall one of the best backpackers hostel!"
