The Hotspring Beach Resort & Spa (SHA Extra Plus)
Thai Meaung / Na Toei,Phang Nga - View on map
"I love to stay away from bustling town, Phuket. That is the reason I chose this hotel. The beach is nice. The swimming & hot spring are superb. The service is ok. Wifi is a bit slow. My room is clean. The architecture seems like built in 90s. It has feeder bus to near by town Khok Kloi every two hours. Tours to Phang Nga bay, Koh Phi Phi & James Bond Island can be arrange at hotel reception. Foods are a bit over price. Continental buffet breakfast is nice. You can take breakfast box as well. "

Baba Ecolodge (SHA Extra Plus)
Koh Phra Thong,Phang Nga - View on map
"I don't think I should be writing this review because I don't want to ruin how special and secret this place feels by attracting more people to it. However I think people should know about it as it was one of the most special places Ive ever visited and stayed. Far away from the busy tourist trap towns that seem to now dominate Thailand this was the highlight of our 3 week trip to this beautiful country. Don't expect night markets rammed with tourists all eating westernised versions of Thai food because this is the real deal and a much more quite and relaxed way of life. If you want to know more you have to go there and find our yourself!"

Katathong Golf Resort & Spa
Mueang Phang Nga,Phang Nga - View on map
"The WOW factor was the first thing we got upon our arrival at the Resort. It is located in the grounds of Katathong Golf Club. The Resort was six star with a three star price, maybe as there were not many people booked in. We were greeted by Tony the Resident Manager who made our check in very easy. Tony was full of information about the Resort and what to see in the area, Located only one hour from Khao Lak you will need a car or arrange for transport. If you are a golfer then this is the place to be. We would recommend Katathong Resort to anyone wanting to escape the "rat race" of Phuket and to sit on your balcony looking over the golf course and mountains. Heaven. We shall be back again very soon."

Thaweesuk Boutique Homestay
Mueang Phang Nga,Phang Nga - View on map
"I chose this place as this is an old style building converted to be chic accommodation, but very clean. It provides public area to sit, talk and see some Historical places in This city. Owner who run business give some interesting recommendations to visit places in Phang-Nga town. It' s near fresh market, where easy to find local Southern food. The deck of hotel provides panoramic view of Moutain surrounded. My mom & I were impressed with hospitality of owner. We would go back next trip in Phang-Nga. "

Sawasdee Lagoon Camping Resort
Thai Meaung / Na Toei,Phang Nga - View on map
"We slept in tents, in the jungle, next to a lagoon! The tent are large and high and under a roof. It sounds like you re right in the jungle, its cool at night without fan and you re looking straight at a lagoon. Food is amazing and cheap. There s a temple and pizza nearby in case you re not into thai food every day. Nice waterfall to the north. Massage can he ordered. Should be less than 1k from airport. We were alone at this huge areal with just three staff. Its the best value i ve ever had and I am sad I left it for the expensive lone island where portions are small n pricey and tourists a plenty."

Sametnangshe Boutique
Takua Thung,Phang Nga - View on map
"The property is quite fine. Everything was clean and in good condition. The food was good, but not outstanding. I booked a tent, but changed my mind after I got there and had a room instead. I'm sure that even though the tent seemed quite comfortable and clean, having a real bed with a bathroom and hot shower was worth the extra money. The downside of Sametnangshe Boutique is that there is very little to do. Unless you wanted to take a boat to James Bond Island (which I had done a couple of times before), you were a bit stuck. There is no pool, beach, shopping or much of anything else in the area. There isn't even a 7-11 or Family Mart convenience store around, which is pretty unheard of in Thailand. In Phuket, there are places where you can stand in one spot and see three 7-11s. But, the reason you go to Sametnangshe Boutique is the view, which is truly stunning. I could easily see paying for one of the high priced rooms just to watch the sunrise from my bed or bathtub."

The Sleep Phang-nga
Mueang Phang Nga,Phang Nga - View on map
"We stayed in Phang Nga because we wanted to do the Phang Nga bay tour. It cost us 1100 bath/person for full day tour after a bit of negotiation ( kayak tour not included). We did not enjoy the tour in our opinion it’s a waste of time, we would not recommend. But the hostel was great and I would definitely stay there again, a lot of cheap places to eat there, not many tourist, so not many people speak English. "

Manora Garden B &B
Mueang Phang Nga,Phang Nga - View on map
"We had a wonderful stay of three nights there. The owners Nui and Gerard really made us feel like home, demonstrating so much helpfulness, hospitality and kindness. Gerard even brought us personally to town, arranged a massage appointment for both of us, took care of the registration-on his personal time....he really goes the extra mile for his guests and hence leaves a sweet memory for his guests...same for his wife Nui who with her home-made dinners provided us with everything we needed....always some kind of a personal touch for each of their guests....that I was able to notice. Both of them helped us in every possible sense and we left Manora Garden with the best feelings...we can highly recommend this lovely place where true human beings take care of you....rarely have we seen that in this world. Thank you so much Nui and Gerard. "

Traveler impressions of Phang Nga

More about Phang Nga

Phang Nga is a provincial capital on the Northern Andaman Coast of Thailand. The natural beauty of the land here can be found both onshore and underwater. There are also some unique cultural opportunities that can be taken advantage of while visiting. Phuket and Krabi each have an airport of their own that makes reaching Phang Nga convenient.

Phang Nga’s natural landscape hosts the city’s greatest attractions in the form of rivers, lakes, mountains, and more. Heaven and Hell Cave at Wat Tham Ta Pan is one of the most popular sites and features statues of various gods as well as virtues like the Three Wise Monkeys. Sanong Manora and the 5-tiered Lamru are both waterfalls that are well worth a visit. The beach of Khao Lak offers the leisure of sea and sand, while Koh Similan National Park and Koh Surin National Park provide diving and snorkeling. The community-based tourism offered in the area is also a unique experience to have. Locals open up their village for day tours or an overnight homestay and can include such activities as batik painting and tin mining.

Be sure to check out the interactive map of Phang Nga for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
