Find Hotels in Qinhuangdao, China

This is pretty far from the city and has no public transport around. Very difficult to commute to the city from from. Families will find the location very attractive though as the hotel is located in a touristy neighborhood. However, if you are seriously strict schedule, you may want to have your transportation sorted out in advance if you are going to stay here. Generally, the place is exception with great facilities, staff and rooms.

We booked thru Agoda in order to get our VISA. We checked out a day early and are still waiting on the credit which the hotel said they have reimbursed Agoda for already? This will impact me using AGODA for any future booking needs. On the other hand, the hotel was above satisfactory. It is located near KFC and Carefree (a market) with a bus stop across the street. It's about 1/2 mile from the train station. Staff were friendly, smiled, but only Andy spoke English well enough to communicate needs. Andy was helpful and accommodating and relayed information well to others so that we took a taxi to Great Wall, and the driver waited for us! He provided us his business card which indicates he's available 24/7? He answered when I called, was friendly and helpful. Thanks Andy. The room was cleaned daily well before 10 a.m. and housekeeping was friendly. I liked the breakfast buffet but my husband would have preferred less daily selection and more variety throughout the week. He thought everything tasted as it was cooked in the same oil. I loved the fresh fruit, various juices, and I sampled numerous Chinese foods which I can't remember the names but enjoyed most of the them. Pool was 'cold' and only offered laps, no hot tub. Gym was locked, offered no outside view & you had to find someone with a key. Room for the gym was not clearly marked either. I never found the Tennis courts and didn't have language skills to ask. I would stay here again and the friends we were visiting commented about us having a separate shower, with a door, and a bath tub, so that is something you may want to be sure is available where ever you are looking, if it is important to you and it would be for us.

Our family of four stayed here and everything about our stay was excellent. The food in the restaurant was great and they had a good selection of western dishes. The lady at the front desk (Zara) was very helpful and accommodating for our family's needs also. The location is directly on the beach in QHD and the property is the nicest we have stayed in during our stay in China. I would highly recommend this hotel for families if you are traveling to Qinhuangdao.

Hotel belongs to hotel chain Hotel located at business centre, floors from 5 to 7. Reception is on 5th floor. On floors 1-4 is shopping mall. Next building is another shopping mall with TESCO. Big choice of cafe. Night club is opposite. Ticket office (including railway) is between entrances to the hotel (only 5Y surcharge). I’ve booked room through Agoda. At reception girls were unable to find reservation (seems this was the first booking from Agoda). After 30 minutes their conversation with back office they proposed me a room and requested deposit in amount of full accommodation. I had booked room for Y including service fee) and I found this room too small for 2 guests for a week. I changed room to bigger one. including service fee). Room equipped with bed 2*1,8; desk; wide windowsill; 3 pegs instead of wardrobe; chair; 2*bedside table; Cattle + 2 caps; mosquitoes fumigator; air condition, LAN cable with free internet; hair drier; Flat TV with Chinese TV; 2*sleepers . Mosquito screens on a windows. Laminated material covers floor. No refrigerator, No deposit box. Towels are changed daily. Iron is under request. 2*0.5l of water, 2 bags of green tea, fumigators slice; shampoo + shower gel are for free. No breakfast. The bed is very tough (very comfortable for me). Cleaning is so-so. I bought sponge with detergent to clean some surfaces. There is a noise from outside from 6AM (car horns). Earplugs are helpful. Bed lining, towels are like new white and without halls. No smelling. Hotel staff is helpful despite the poor English. I recommend using Google Translate. (there is the PC connected to Internet at reception area). Me with wife were booked this hotel to go to a beach for a week and we are fully satisfied with our choice. QinHuanDao is cheaper that Beidahe, Beach opposite Safari (Wildlife) park is more comfortable and cleaner that Beidahe. Probable is better to book hotel

We read a bunch of reviews before we came here. They said bad food, smelly rooms, mosquitoes, and unfriendly staff... so we expected that. No other choice though, not many places take foreigners. The room we had (3 beds... we have a big family) was actually quite nice, and they upgraded us to a nicer (double room suite) at no cost. Rooms were nice, pretty safe for kids. Staff moved some furniture around for us to put two beds together so our kids could all sleep in one big bed. There was some occasional bathroom drain smell, but not always, and not too bad. No mosquitoes. Staff were super friendly... the hotel manager went and fetched some Band-Aids when she saw our son's knee had taken some scrapes. Thought that was really nice of her. There's a restaurant right on the street the rents property and name from the hotel, but is not associated with the hotel. Food there is "meh." The hotel has its own restaurant it owns though, and food there is not bad. Good hotel!

We booked a family room with a long bed and a single. The room is huge with enough space to host a yoga class. The linen and restroom was clean. The bathroom door could use a little more privacy since it's just a piece of glass with parts in the middle frosted but it's not that big of a deal for us. The only thing missing in the room is a mini fridge where we can store some cold beers. Super close to the beginning of the Great Wall, about a 10-15 yuan taxi ride. It was a pleasant stay.
