If you are together in a group, i suggest from the moment you come down the plane to have somebody run out and save the ONLY TWO TAXICABS in town.
Otherwise, you will have to wait for them to come back the airport, or you will have to ride the tricycle to your hotel/ destination. The city itself is really quiet with close to no night life at all.
Best fresh seafoods! Please keep the seaside clean by encouraging all barangays to help during clean up time.
...God Bless Capiz!
The Baybay in Capiz has good, fresh seafood at a reasonable price and beautiful views. There is a mall, with shopping and restaurants available but compared to Ayala or SM mall its very small and closes relatively early.
Festa is one restaurant I would highly recommend. Catch it on a Monday or Thursday night and you will hear great live music. The people in the town are very friendly and kind. It may be nice place to live, Capiz is not quite a tourist destination.
Roxas city, is a very religious city, with great churches and cathedrals worth seeing.. is set along a river and is quite pretty.
shopping is quite good with gaisano shopping centre, has cinemas, and Robinsons major shopping centre to be opened in february
The place is laid back which is great for relaxation especially at the Baybay area. A recommended tourist attraction is the beautiful Sta Monica Church which has the Biggest Bell in Asia.
You may also visit Weny's Butterfly Garden for an educational nature trip. Note: these attractions are located in the next town - Pan-ay.
Roxas city itself is clean and very peaceful but not more on tourist spots, most people here dont know where to buy souvenir items like capis shell handicrafts decors or local products like dried foods.
they have to boost the tourism in this city even more.
Airport is very near Baybay area. There is an old church with huge bells dating back to 18th century.
city with two shopping malls all the banks long beach local airport lots of schools eco sight old buildings fish farming
It was simply beautiful! give yourself time to adjust from city life to laid back. No SM or Robinson's mall in this area.
Food was great- just have your seafood either grilled or soup. Have them prepare it the way they know how to prepare it. Must see: Pan-ay Church and Roxas city tour; OlatayanIsland and Cadimahan River rafting. Baybay Beach also nice.
A calm and nice city with friendly people. The airport is small but cute with efficient and good serivce.
