When we arrived, a friendly lady directed us to the parking garage next to the station -- and we got to stay there for free! We had booked a Queen Room, and it was huge and comfortable, even had a massage chair! It felt really luxurious and relaxing. Close to the station, so there's lots of dining and shopping options nearby. (We didn't eat at the hotel, but Agoda for...

The Toyoko Inn Saga is a nice quaint hotel right in the heart of the city. It's quiet and pleasant with easy access to wherever you want to be. It's right next to the train and bus station, so you can go just about anywhere. If you take bus #1 to the YouMe Saki Cosmos Town shopping mall, that's the place to be in Saga. It's a very nice mall with all sorts of intere...

My wife and I stayed in from 12-14 Oct and we were given a nice big japanese style room. We were unable to get the non-smoking room so they tried their best to clean the room. Very appreciative of that and the room was really clean and there was indeed no cigarette smell at all! The place didnt feel touristy at all. The hotel have 6 huge onsen pools, very well mainta...

We wanted a quiet place to relax, hence we stayed for 2 nights. The place looks very traditional and homely. Staff very courteous and the manager comes out every meal to meet and greet every single party of guests one by one. The reason why I said stay 1 night is fine is that, they tried to come up with a second set of menu for guests who stay for the second night. We...

The hotel is a bit far from Tosu train station. Have to walk around 15-20 min. Surrounding is manufacturing distributor area I think the hotel mainly provides service for business purpose. This hotel provides bottled water at checkin. Got little kettle in the room, 2 hair dryer outside and inside the roiled. There are instant noodles for sell at the reception which is ...

Room was not that big but it was clean and tidy. Location was nearly perfect to travel in Saga. You can even see the entrance of hotel from inside of Saga station and there is a big supermarket and a convenience store very near there. Staffs couldn't speak Korean or English well but their service was still very good. I stayed in another hotel near Saga station for t...

The hotel is well served by various bus services. We left the window open for cold and fresh air at night, the geese/birds sound from the canal is a great and pleasant wake up call. The front desk manager helped us with restaurant reservation and arranging luggage courier, this is much appreciated. We will be back to Saga for the air balloon fest one day!

This stay was amazing!!! Both the Samurai manager and the young lady working on weekends were adorable and so helpful. They make this whole place feel so cozy and welcoming, and they are very helpful and present for guests. The beds were comfortable and I loved that they were equipped with sufficient lighting, power plugs, and sooo much space to settle all your thin...

Good standard hotel with standard nice room and very clean. The twins room is bigger than other places. The location is very close to Tosu station, only 1 min walk. The breakfast is good with Japanese and Western food. There is a beverage machine with many selection. Recommend this hotel to stay in Tosu.

We booked this hotel becaused we couldn't find another one for our one night stay in Saga on a Saturday night. The hotel was worse than we expected. The room was old, dirty, and smelled awful. The bathroom was even worse as it was small, moldy and had a bad smell. We didn't feel we could have a shower in the bathroom insider our room due to the state of it. At th...

Garden Terrace is not 5* hotel but i would like to give 5*+ rating for this hotel. Room is clean and big. Breakfast is so nice. Luxury bathroom and excellent service from all staffs. The only small minus point is location, it takes ¥1,200 taxi fare from hotel to Saga station. However in return, surrounding is so beautiful and quite.

Traveler impressions of Saga
6 km from hotel imari is a ceramics village which was dated back in the 15th century, lots of traditional ceramics shops, great for a morning walk, we bought a few pieces which wasnt really our style because my wife and i like to travel light, but there were some good choices you cant pass.

More about Saga
Saga has a couple noteworthy attractions that make for fascinating exploration. Like many Japanese cities, there is a castle to be visited. Saga Castle has been mostly restored after repeated fires and an eventual deconstruction. More than 400 years old, the castle today hosts the Saga Castle Museum of History. Another great area to visit for a look into the area’s history is the Yayoi archaeological site of Yoshinogari Historical Park. A family-friendly day can be had in Kono Park which has a small amusement park on the southern end. For a day taking in the landscape, Rainbow Pine Grove and the sea-eroded caverns of Nanatsu-gama are top destinations.
Saga is easy to reach with the Saga Airport and JR Nagasaki Line serving the city. Find the most suitable accommodation for you by clicking on our interactive map and exploring Saga for hotels and must-see destinations.
