it is very near to the salzburg main train station and bus station, very good price, nice staff, and the best thing is i book for triple room (for 3 people) but they give us a large room for 6 beds. very good environment also!

With 2 sons of an age whereby they have very much grown out of the 'Christmas Magic', Christmas had lost its sparkle to myself and my wife. I booked our Christmas trip with a hope that there would be some sparkle return to this holiday period. Wow !!! - The Hotel Bristol is a truly fantastic Hotel. I have been lucky enough to stay in some very nice Hotels around the word and the Hotel Bristol rates as the very best. The Hotel itself is immaculately clean, furnished to highest standard and the staff are attentive, friendly and professional. Nothing is too much bother, as well as they are genuine in their desire to please. Salzburg is magical and I recommend the trip up to the castle, Christmas markets and if you get the chance take a sleigh ride on Christmas day. All truly Magical.

The reception, the restaurant and some of the rooms are already renovated. Our room was not renovated, it needs some refurbishment but was super clean, spacious and warm. It would be great if in the room were available tea and coffee facilities. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is a paid parking space behind the hotel. The location is incredible - only 2-3 walking minutes from the old town (actually on the other side of the tunel) and is a perfect starting point to explore Salzburg.

Very convenient if your mode of transportation in coming to Salzburg Austria is by train. Surrounded by fast food (Burger King, Starbucks, McDonalds) and shops inside and outside the Salzburg HBF. There is supermarket inside the train station which is the closest one to the hotel. Hotel breakfast is OK with lots of basic staple stuff.

Quite a distance from the central train station. The hotel is a little old but have a very clean room and bathroom. The staffs a friendly and polite.

The Wyndham Grand Salzburg Conference Centre is excellently located, a 4 minute walk from the Salzburg Hbf. Check-in was quick and very professionally done before the receptionist was extremely kind in providing us a city map, pointing out key attractions as well as nearby amenities like Supermarkets. From the hotel, a 12 minute walk brings you to Mirabell Palace and Gardens which is an excellent place to start your walk tour of Salzburg. The city of Salzburg is compact and all the highlights are easily accessible on foot. Check out the next day was extremely quick and we were even offered Nespresso coffee during check out early in the morning, which was a very refreshing surprise. We had a extremely enjoyable stay at the Wyndham Grand Salzburg and would definitely consider the Wyndham group of hotels on our next trip for business or pleasure. Thank you Wyndham Grand Salzburg.

We booked 2 month earlier from arrival, and the price was very good for a 3 nights stay. The location is between old town and train station with both 5-10 mins walking. Room is clean as other 4 star hotels, and everything is designed for guest convenience. You can also buy Salzburg card at the reception. All in all, it is the best hotel in our 9 days journey.

NH Salzburg hotel is a good hotel to stay due to a quiet environment during the evening time, very friendly staffs and easy access to the city of Salzburg. Last but not least, it is value for money.

hotel receptionist is nice and friendly. he is experienced and efficient. breakfast is also nice! location is also near the salzburg train station and it's a definite choice for travelers visiting salzburg!

The hotel is about 15-minute walk from the Salzburg old town, and about 5-minute bus ride away. The room is the largest I have stayed in during my Germany-Salzburg trip. From my room, I have a very nice view of the Fortress Hohensalzburg and the mountain alps. Though situated near the Salzburg station and bus interchange, the hotel environment is quiet and peaceful.

Breakfast is the best in this hotel. and you can find a mini gym in -1 floor and it is good enough for travelers. but to be honesty location is not good but somehow acceptable enough. Guests may take bus #4 stop to any sightsee place in Salzburg. BTW, I loved the french windows of room, and it is beautiful to see falling snow from sky to earth. It is rare visual experience for people from tropical area.

i stayed in this hotel for 2 night with family. we liked this hotel as the room was spacious and very clean. the bed was comfortable. the hygien standard of the hotel seems very good. we enjoyed the breakfast with quiet environment. staff was very freindly. hotel location is three stops away from the main station by bus. wifi did not work which was a bit disappointing. but they let me use the computer in the reception. i will stay here next time if i go to salzburg.

We arrived late and the room is ready. There is the DVD Sound of Music playing in loop, and if you've never heard of it, one of the highlights of Salzburg is the Movie Sound of Music . So we got to watch it for free !! Bathroom and Bedroom is clean. the room is slightly old fashioned but the bathroom is definitely modern. It's only a short walk to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, and finding the hotel is not hard at all.

This place was everything my wife and I were looking for. A six hundred years old structure, with great modern amenity in the room. Owner has paid great attention to every possible details in the room. It was just amazing. Great staff will feel you at home from check in to check out. In the heart of Salzburg, close to sightseeing, river walk, restaurants, shopping center. I would certainly stay in this place again if back in Salzburg. I strongly recommend hotel Goldgasse to couples. Just one minor thing. The hotel is in small alley, hotel restaurant is on ally level, and there are other shops and restaurants nearby. Naturally you will start hearing noises early morning, Restaurant and shops need to get ready for business. My wife and I did not mind that. We rather wake up early. Chao

It's an old house but kept very well. The room was clean and larger than expectation, and the location is very convenient, you can get to Mozart house in 3 min and Mozart's birthplace is just across the bridge. There's a small elevator so no need to carry luggage from stairs. The reception staffs are nice and gave us coupon for some restaurants, we tried a traditional Austria food one and had a very wonderful dinner. You can also buy Salzburg card from reception. I will definitely recommend this place though it's a little bit pricy during Salzburg festival.

Although I worried the hotel is not in old city center when I made the reservation. in the end the walk from the hotel to old city center is a pleasant experience. we actually bought a lots beautiful souvenirs which I personally think a good reflection of Salzburg local people longtime acquired taste instead of those cheap stuffs for group tourist. I am glad we made the right decision. also thankful for the free upgrade to spacious triple room without extra charge . the only down side is the breakfast. although very big selection, the quality average low, below the average quality I can buy from local supermarkets

The Ibis Nord Salzburg is pretty much what you would expect from Ibis: A place to stay with little extras. What really annoyed me was the tiny space to hang a few (literally) pieces of clothes and no other hooks to hang coats. A long wall and not one extra hook. And this for a room with a Kingsize bed (typically for two people). The carpet has seen it's best days and some spots screamed "don't walk barefoot". The rooms don't have much in the way of acoustical isolation and you can hear everything going on in the hallways and slamming doors. Finally, freinds that also stayed this weekend found rooms that included breakfast for the same money (70 EUR). Otherwise, the staff was friendly and there was enough (free) parking on the weekend.

This hotel is on the other side of old town, where most of the attractions are. But it's only a 10 minutes walk from Schloss Mirabelle, of sound of music fame. Another 10 minutes brings you to old town. The staff is most accommodating. I made my reservation here several months ago. Later on I tried to find a single room for my friend coming in from Germany. It seems most of the hotels were booked, because that weekend was a holiday weekend in Germany. I called the hotel from the US and spoke to the receptionist. He was able to move some reservations around and was able to find me a single room for my friend, which I appreciated very much. Also, I fell ill during this trip, and the owner was very helpful and kind. She made an appointment on my behalf with a doctor nearby and allowed us to extend our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff is warm, and it is not far from most of the attractions. And if you have a car, this place has free parking, which is very hard to find in Salzburg.

Small and no frills hotel. Don't expect much from the hotel, just a place for a good night's sleep. Free breakfast buffet which serves a spread of bread, eggs, cereal, cold cuts and beveragss. Nothing fancy but it gets you filled. Not a great hotel, but it serves its basic purpose. Tips: -There is a chinese/sushi buffet next door and it is always crowded during dinner. About 20 euros per person. -Bowling/billiard/indoor mini golf just behind hotel. 4.50 euros per bowling game. Disco theme on Fridays. Have food and drinks too. 3.50 for pint of beer. -Free parking but avoid peak hours because of the restaurant. Took us 20 mins to find parking when we returned in the evening even though we stayed at the hotel. Frustrating! -No kettle in hotel room, but we found out that austria has very clean tap water.

Decent cleanliness and facilities and very close to Salzburg Airport.. The only problem was when I tried to check in early, they told me to wait until 3 pm. That seemed reasonable, but when I returned at 3, it turned out that my room would not me ready for another hour. The excuse was that the hotel was busy that particular day. Most places I've stayed at can accommodate an early check in and are certainly prepared by the stated time. This hotel needs to have adequate staff on Sundays if it's going to be open on Sundays!

Great view and walking distance to everything! Secret views of sunset at the mountain close by!

We stayed in this hotel only for 2 nights;hotel is very nice and clean. Room was very comfortable and good food in the hotel's restaurant.Staff was very helpful and friendly and on top of that Salzburg is beautiful,definitely worth to see.

A wonderful apartment in the heart of beautiful Salzburg. Every thing about it was perfect including Manfred the host who was so warm and welcoming...not to mention getting out heavy bags up to our room!! Will most certainly return.

The stay at this hotel was quite enjoyable. Its a very nice hotel with good clean rooms. the breakfast was quite awesome with a lovely spread. The only problem with the hotel was its location. Its a good 1km away from the centre of Salzburg and it was quite a walk till there. Also tried dinner at the restaurant at one of the evening and it was very disappointing.

We had some issue checking into the wrong room on the first day but the host Edith rectified quickly on the next day for us! She is definitely a very friendly, nice and accomodating lady. The apartment is very spacious, complete with everything we need, we totally hope we had more time utilising the facilities. The only thing we could raise is that the water is dismissing quite slowly at the shower so the shower floor is always flooded as we bath, but we only get to shower once so we can live with that :) Location is great, bus station is just around the corner. Overall, its really a comfortable home one would love to stay for long!

Sarah was a wonderful host who did her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She prepared good breakfasts and handled our laundry.

Overall stay was good as it is really situated in perfect location. The only thing was the internet is damn bad, I hardly can use and load into the internet

The room is unclean, cockroaches are found in both rooms. The radiators were not working either. Because so, we catched cold in the night. Here are some details. After we found both issues, we had been text communication with the host. After half hour, a lady been sent to check, who don’t speak English, naturely, we can’t communication. After her little visit, we recieved message from host, not say sorry or try to solve the problem, but reinforced the radiators are working, not his problem, and never hear about the cockroaches issue. Speechless! Luck part, we only booked 1 night with them. Highly recommend not to stay, it’s a big minus for your trip.
