Sharm El Sheikh hotels & places to stay

+ve: Everything was astonishing. Excellent hotel, nice room, good food and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay and for sure we will visit it again. -ve: Guest relations insisted to send feedback before my stay end.

The facilities in the hotel were very good. The thing that impressed us most was the wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They were courteous, friendly and genuinely nice. We travel all over the world and have stayed in top class hotels but we have never met such lovely people anywhere. They deserve 5 stars just for their staff

I have to say that Movenpick Sharm El Sheikh is one of finest hotels that I stayed at. even though it is an old resort, but they are keeping it in a good shape. I loved every details of its architecture. whenever I'm back in Sharm, Movenpick will be my choice

Despite friendly and very helpful restaurant staff that made the stay durable there is no way I can recommend this hotel. I have given 5 stars for those staff, but most of the staff behind the front desk are rude unhelpful morons - no concept of 'welcome to our hotel' with a friendly smile, which is what you need at 3 am when you arrive. That included being ripped off for a $30 early access to the room charge, when my staff were not charged. The hotel itself is a monolith of granite and marble - but shower rail fell off, plumbing to the toilet leaked across the bathroom floor. Worst of all, smoking is allowed within the public areas of the hotel - including the corridors to the rooms. The main clientele are cheap tour Ukrainians that almost without exception smoke non-stop. As for Sharm el Sheikh, great coral in the Red Sea but everything else is not worth the trouble. The airport security is also a nightmare on departure.

In general the experience of the hotel was quite wonderful. the staff was friendly and would do anything we ask within seconds. the scenery is absolutely beeautiful with the outdoor swimming pools and all. the beach was not that good but that's just the rocky Red Sea it's not the hotels fault. The food was great. Loved the big buffes. The indoor buildings are although a bit old. Quite clean but old built, which made them look not so clean.We're from greece and the tv channels were most in Arabic and other languages. Should be at least one channel in Greek.

This resort had the best location so far, on my yearly break and decide to choose this resort as it is near to airport and the dive operator can come and fetch me at this resort, anythis the room is clean and nice, staffs is very helpful with everything, love the pool bar and the view to Red Sea is cool and chill. The buffet however is average, normal and i was confuse with the wrist band that was given to me on the reception counter, hence i had no idea i need to pay for the buffet lunch and dinner.

It’s really 5 stars hotel . Amazing entertainment for the adults and kids . The aqua is super fantastic. The staff are very cooperative Special thanks for Mr. Mostafa Hamdy in the reception for his great help and continues support..... I really like his way of working . Only one concern is about the level of the food it is not good as other resorts in Sharm and unfortunately I have to eat outside of the hotel

Everything was good except the location of the hotel. They should include the transportation regarding their far location. Also there is one point I dislike which is ( they charge if you didn’t return the key card of the room ) this is the first hotel doing this case.

First there’s no way that the food is 5 star although you can eat plenty of it. Also Agoda advertised free 2 way transfers but we actually had to pay ( they did refund us 15 usd and apologized tho). The gym and pools are very nice and you can drink as much beer and vodka as you want but it is cheap local stuff, that is not the best to say the least. Anyway if the price is cheap enough I guess it’s worth staying there for a couple of days.

We really enjoyed our stay here, very happy with our choice considering there is so many to choose from in Sharm El Sheikh. The room was very big and overlooked the ocean, swimming pools and gardens. I think the rooms need the furniture and decor replaced as they are getting a bit old now but are still ok. There are three private beaches (600metres) located on the resort. The beach is fantastic and has a great reef/coral with so much variety of colorful fish, if you love snorkeling or scuba diving then you will be spoilt at this hotel. There is also a really good dive shop located there. I will definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Also they have free shuttle to/from city centre and airport. The best restaurant there is Sala Thai, i live in Thailand and would have to say it is the best Thai restaurant i have eaten at outside of Thailand :)

This is an original Egyptian hotel with all comforts. The staff is great, always tries to help you. The food is more than average. The rooms are clean but need a little bit of care. The position is perfect, right on the beach and right of the main street with all shops and restaurants. If you don't want to spend too much and have a private beach without care too much in small details, this is the right place for you.

we really enjoyed our stay at the hilton waterfalls. the room was very big and well appointed. the facilities in the hotel were excellent - several restaurants to choose from, an outdoor cinema, a spa, several pools and a fantastic 5* padi dive centre - high recommended! the only thing that could be improved is the buffet food in the main restaurant... but i think that's a criticism of all inclusive hotels in sharm el sheikh in general.

a decent and clean resort- though not spectacular. lovely pool area and has its own private beach. fairly well priced too. it is excellently located right in na'ama bay. so if you are looking to stay in the heart of the action in sharm el sheikh (including shopping centres, clubs, restaurnats,pubs, glitz and glam) then na'ama bay is where you want to be.

I would give the Grand Sharm 3 maybe 3.5 stars, not the 5 that they claim. The room we were in was not that comfortable. Not the best because there was a crack between them and two seperate blankets each for a full size bed. The food was OK but not great and got very repetitive after a couple days. For our stay we only had breakfast included and the one nige we ate at the buffet the charge was very high, higher than the night we ate at a good restaurant in Nuaama Bay. So I recommend avoiding the resturants there. The beach was nice and so were the pools. The service was good, our room cleaner likes to decoreate the beds each day. One thing that bothered me the most was that the water was brown coming out of the tap, the bathroom could have also used some general maintenance as things were befing to fall apart.

We had a great stay here, the breakfast buffet is amazing. Staff are friendly and helpfull. One thing to complain about is the internet. It is not free for guests. There is free internet on the square in front of the hotel, but not on the inside. A strange thing, the hotel is expensive and i consider it standard that internet is complementary for all guests.

I stayed for an over night in the hotel. The hotel is somehow close to the airport, however it's far from the activities in Neama Bay but somehow close to Soho Square, so location isn't the best. The rooms are spacious and clean, yet somehow dated; the lock of the room needed to be maintained. Beds are not comfortable at all. The private beach is fine, the pool is good as well and the animation team did many activities. Overall average hotel.

The swimming pool was nice, the rooms were comfortable, the location is far from Namma Bay, a shuttle bus always full and I have to take a Taxi to Namma Bay. Make sure you just cross the street and take a Van service, the cost is 3 Egyptian pounds / person rather than paying 55 pounds for the hotel Taxi. The same way when you come to Sharm El Sheikh Airport. The Taxi inside will charge you 70 pounds, but if you walk 200 yards outside the airport. You can get the same Van service for 5 pounds / person. The cleaning service in the room is lousy. never changed the bed sheets during my stay. The hotel is deserted at night, you have to go to Namma Bay for any sign of life. Travel tours in the hotel are very expensive. Go to Namma Bay and walk around, you will get the same tours for almost half the price. If you didn't get all inclusive. They charge you 14 pounds for 2 pounds bottle of water.

My experience of Sharm I think was changed by this hotel alone. The hotel is well kept, the staff are super friendly but still allow you to enjoy your own space and it is fantastically located right on the edge of Naama Bay, so you can either take part in the activity on the Bay or enjoy the chilled out decking around the pool on the top of the hotel - great views too! I went diving and the dive school is literally 1 minute from the hotel.

Perfect service and excellent staff. We enjoyed the stay in this hotel much. The hotel area and the private beach was clean. Positive is the close proximity to the Old Market of Sharm-El-Sheikh, not more than 2 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend.

Probably one of the two best hotels of Sharm with Four Season. The facilities of the Royal are exclusive compared to the normal Savoy and the staff is very dedicated. It is 15 mn from the real Down Town of Sharm but it is located on the spot of the very famous outdoor mall. Definitely great !

I had a lovely stay at the Falcom Naama Star Hotel, but it's not a hotel that's suitable if you're there on business. The hotel itself is clean and professional, with facilities that go beyond its 3* rating. However they seem to want to sell themselves very clearly to the package holiday crowd, so there are lots of very loud games by the pool, loud music during the day and loads of noise at night. The noise from the adjacent shopping mall was so bad that I phoned the very lovely concierge three times one night - despite the hotel staff being extraordinarily kind, this is something they can't control. If you want somewhere cheap to chill out, this could do the trick - although as someone that likes my lounging by the pool to be in blissful silence, this is something they can't provide.
