Sorrento hotels & places to stay

This was the best place to stay just 50 metres from the main Piazza and shopping. Very vibrant and lively area in the middle of Sorrento. It was great being able to walk a short distance to everything especially since we had a traveller with us who was on a mobility scooter. The hotel was lovely, clean and the staff were fantastic especially Veronica. We had a great stay and if I came back I would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful Sorrento. Hotel situated along a passageway just off a busy main square. Is close enough to the square to be in the hustle and bustle within a minute - but sufficiently distant to not be disturbed by the noise (although the double glazing is excellent). Roof top sun lounge and small swimming pool gave stunning 360 degree views of Bay of Naples and surrounding hills. Room had superb air conditioning - which when visiting in the Summer was a must!

Very quiet & clean place for Italian standards. Nice BF. Comfortable beds. Great view. Free Shuttle to the City of Sorrento. Perfect escape from the mass of tourists. Great facility’s.

We so enjoyed Hotel Regina in Sorrento mostly because the staff go out of their way to accommodate and anticipate your needs. Mostly, things were done for you before you asked😊The “Antonio’s” always we’re kind. Also, Giuseppe, the maitre d takes impeccable care of you. We stayed here 14/10 to 21/10/17. My partner had previously stayed at this hotel but it was my first visit so I could confirm if Sorrento is where to have our wedding next year. Luigi greeted us at the reception desk upon our arrival and we were very quickly settled into our room. All the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. The location of Hotel Eden couldn't be better, being just a short walk from the station even walking round to the main entrance. There is a side door opening onto Corsa Italia just 200metres from Piaza Tasso with all its many bars and restaurants making for a vibrant nightlife. Marina Piccalo is but a short walk either down the steps at the edge of the piaza or via the lift and pathway down. Breakfast was very adequate with a large choice of meats, breads cereals and fruit. you could also enjoy hot scrambled eggs from the buffet menu. The pool area was clean and is serviced from the hotel bar for snacks and drinks. It was rather dirty on our arrival but we had endured very high winds to account for so many leaves etc in t he pool. It was soon cleaned although is unheated and cold for the time of year. on the negative a little shaded in the mornings. Our room was on the forth floor. It was adequately furnished, clean and bright with such excellent views of the Bay of Naples and Mnt Versuvius in the background clearly visible from our bed. The bed was a little hard but very comfortable once used to that. Bedding however was a little tired being in excess of three years old (photos showed it to be exactly the same bedding on my partners previous visit in 2013). The maid service was friendly and timely most days. They did not however renew any bedding during our 7 day stay leaving sheets etc looking very crumpled by the last few days of our stay. The room could do with a small table so you have somewhere to put a glass of wine as you take in the spectacular views from the balcony at those time you like to complet

We stayed at La Residenza for 3 nights and have to say really enjoyed our time there and recommend it and would come back again as it was great value for money. Positives: -the use of the pool located a couple of minutes walk through the hotels garden - the garden is very well kept and a lovely addition - the staff are very helpful especially the manager and Stella at reception - beds very comfortable albeit being slightly hard - bedroom and bathroom good size - balcony - the 5 star restaurant was probably our favourite restaurant to dine at in sorrento great views on the verandah and food was delicious and staff extremely helpful. - the terrace at the five star hotel is very nice for relaxing after the meal with added bonus of entertainment at night. Could improve: - breakfast was ok; good selection of cakes but it lacked variety of other food types - the hotel could do with a few design adjustments: Exterior paint work Soundproofing in bedrooms

If their was an option to give more than 5 stars, I wouldn’t hesitate to put more. They knew that we were checking out before 7 AM in the morning. They prepared breakfast early for us, and we came in and everything was ready and perfect. The food was delicious and was the best free breakfast from a hotel in Italy that we went to. I contacted the hotel 3 weeks before our check in date, and the lady in the front desk answered my question very fast and provided me with the best information located in Sorrento for the things we wanted to do. This is the best hotel I stayed in from our 10 Days in Italy. The people worked above and beyond and we thank them for it.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect - quiet with a short walk into town. The hotel itself is simple, stylish and clean. The rooftop terrace is lovely. The breakfast is beautifully presented, with a fair variety of choice. What makes the hotel great is the staff. They are all keen to help, taking time with the little things and they are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a room on the first floor near the bar. We loved our room and our view, but it was a little noisy on the first night due to chattering at reception. We asked about the noise and were offered a move, but would have lost our sea view, so we took a chance. We were glad we did as we didn’t have a problem again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect for couples. Beware the (unexpected) Sorrento tourist tax which gets charged as you end your stay - €3 per day per person for a maximum of 7 days.

Perfect location with an amazing view. Staff were lovely, food was really good. Pool is lovely. Rooms good and bed very comfortable and spacious. good location as close to Sorrento town centre but far enough away to get away from it all. Perfect Holiday, made all the better for staying at this Hotel.

The room was clean, breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. The location of this hotel is close to Marina Grande, a great spot for dinner is Emilia, but not that close to downtown Sorrento or the port. If you go with your family this is a great area, however if you go with your friends and you would like to party this is not the place for you. I went with my family and I was very pleased with the service!

We absolutly loved this hotel. After many stay's at different hotel's in Sorrento, this is the best. We look forward to staying here again the next time when we are in Italy,which will be in 2 year's.

Although the hotel is a little away from center of Sorrento, the walk home is a time to relax and see the change in scenery. The walk into Sorrento can be varied to include a level walk past the fine clifftop hotels and views. The pool area is large and very relaxing. The view across the Bay of Naples to Mt Versuvious from my room was fantastic (level 5) and the rooftop garden area was relaxing. The breakfast staff are wonderful which adds to the experience and provides a great start to the day. The walk to the nearby railway station is easy. The hotel was very clean. The value for money compared to other hotels was very good.

Cioffi Sorrento is on the third floor of the building. Although there are only three rooms, the room is spacious and comfortable. It is also clean and new. There is breakfast available in your room. Location is great as it is not much far from city centre.

Conveniently located near Train. Cheap parking within walking distance. Shops n restaurant less than 5 mins walk. Clean and new rooms with smart TV! Host, Pasquela was very helpful with information. Really felt comfortable here. Will really reccommend for those looking for a place to stay in Sorrento.

La Solara remains my favorite hotel in Sorrento. The staff are second to none: They are always extremely helpful and always pleasant, friendly and interactive- nothing is too much trouble- kudos to Fabio, Massimo, and Tina at the front desk and Marcello is always attentive in the dining room. The cleanliness of this facility is outstanding.

The place is beautifully located in old Sorrento. But it needs a touch, the toilet was a bit old, the bed was not a kingsize mattress but 2 singles mattresses pieced together. Breakfast is a beautiful room, but orange juice wasn't natural. I think for the price, the hotel could afford natural fruit juice! And no water bottles in your room, either you drink from tap or you buy your bottle. So I guess overall, the place lives in its reputation rather than earning it.

My friend and I had booked independently, we had travelled in Rome Naples then Sorrento. La Meridiana was an excellent 3 star Hotel. It has a lovely elegance, very well kept with friendly helpful Staff.It has a bright modern décor. The breakfast is adequate ham, cheese, scramble egg, bacon, biscuits, pastries, yoghurt, fruit juices and tea how the English like it with boiling water and cold milk. A very good location only 500m (maybe less) from Tazzo square, which is the centre of Sorrento. Directly across the road from the Hotel is an orange and lemon grove which you can walk in and look around. From La Meridiana sun terrace on the top floor you can see the whole of the Bay of Naples and yes that means Vesuvius is bang opposite you and you can see Capri .....the lot. It's a treat it really is..I hope to go back to Sorrento and stay again at the Hotel Meridiana !! No I'm not related to anyone at the Hotel I just really liked it !!!

Peaceful, lovely beach, lots of areas to sit. Everything thought of - beach towels, shoes, snorkels goggles, canoe. Staff helpful & friendly. Our room was spacious & comfortable & food good. My only ( small ) complaint would be the awful music played in the restaurant. Otherwise perfect!

Had a pleasant experience liaising with Marino via WA for arrangement on the airport transfer and day trip from Sorrento. He was very responsive in communicating and so helpful in answering all the queries given. Highly recommended place to stay in Sorrento.

This hotel may be rated a two star hotel, but the man that runs this hotel is a 10! He is the most helpful and nicest person that I have met in a long time. His recommendations for dinners were spot on with what we were looking for as well as not breaking the budget. He was so helpful in telling us how to get around, where to find an atm, best modes of transportation, etc. I can't say enough good things about this man. The beach for this hotel was a cute little beach in a cove. Very nice semi-private beach with chairs, umbrellas, and things to do (such as kayaking, etc.). Hotel had free WIFI and a shuttle service that will pick you up and drop you off at the train station or the port for only 12 euro. A taxi will cost you around 25 euro. It is super easy to get from the train station by foot, but with suitcases it may be stressful. Easy walk about 10-15 min to town center with a bunch of shopping and restaurants. You could spend all night down in that area. There is no a/c, but they do provide two fans in each room and with the hotel being on the water and by a small waterfall, you get a nice cool breeze at night. The rooms are nothing spectacular, but everything else was so great that it didn't even matter. I was there for the beach and the coast, not to stay in my room all day. I would stay at this hotel again and I have already recommended it to many people.

Excellent location - within walking distance of train station, conveniently located near the embarking point for ferries. Loved the room with Mediterranean decor and balcony overlooking the streets and Piazza Tasso. Lovely breakfast spread with served by very friendly staff. In the evening, you can take a nice stroll down to the nearby Marina Grande for excellent seafood pasta.

Arriving in Sorrento by train, the hotel is just a short walk from the station making it easy to find and convenient for those traveling with heavy bags. The hotel staff was cordial and helpful. The hotel is simple, but offers good quality at a reasonable price and is well maintained and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety. I would certainly stay there again the next time I travel to Sorrento.

Comfortable room, great location-literally feet from the train station, friendly staff & good breakfast. Only draw back was the stairs we had to climb up to get to our room and the initial waiting outside the property to wait to be met by the staff.

Our stay in Sorrento was great. Happy Flat was a fantastic place to stay. Very close to all the great restaurants and shops in Sorrento. Fulvilo was awesome and provided us with great service and I would recommend this apartment. We would love to visit again one day.

This hotel is close fro a port. If you are thinking to go to Capri, this hotel is the best one. it took us to go to the port only for less than 5 minutes. It takes for 20 minutes to Capri by ferry. Sorrento is beautiful town. You need to walk up many steps but it is not too hard. ( We are older than 60 year old) We had beautiful breakfast looking beautiful view. Staff was very nice. She suggested us good restaurants. We went to one of them and had a great time. I would like to go back to the hotel and stay longer next time!!
