"Being situated in the middle of the campus of the University of Stirling, it was a little harder to find than most, but GPS worked fine and got us there. The staff is super helpful, the food is first rate, and the rooms were modern and clean. Close to the Wallace Monument, too. We loved our short stay at this hotel."

"First impression was excellent. All the staff were friendly, professional and in every level lovely. The whole place is kept immaculately clean and attention paid to the small details, too. The breakfast is also good value for money. - - However, I'm afraid there are issues, for which I can't blame the staff, but the structure of the building. Walls are paper thin, I could clearly hear what the neighbours were listening to on the TV, every time a tap opened, a door closed etc. In fact I thought someone was keep opening and closing my door, but it was the opposite room on the corridor. The shower didn't work, water was only dripping slowly (however the tap is powered and worked well). This could be just a fault in my specific room. Besides this, the heating was too hot. So all in all, I could not get a good sleep and have a nice shower, which are the main points to stay in a hotel while on a journey. I wish I could give a better rating, the staff was truly fantastic! "

"The hotel was easy to find, had good parking and was very comfortable. It's an old high school converted into a lovely hotel with lots of character. The room was spacious and the staff were very courteous and friendly. The only downside is that the hotel is halfway up a long hill between Stirling Castle and the town, so there's lots of walking up and down hills. The road is narrow but navigable (one way) go driving is not challenging. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it!"

"Stunning building. Amazimg what they've done with it. But the bunk beds are tiny, the mattresses old, the pillows need SOME padding... oh and... unless I'm mistaken, I saw no plug sockets in the room I was in. People today rely so much on mobile phones etc.. it needs to be acknowledged and dealt with if possible. But yes, my main issue was the bed. People are getting taller..too many hostels have bunk beds intended for gnomes. This one was no different alas..."
