“We spent 2 nights at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in Stockholm before boarding a cruise. The hotel was so convenient; we walked from the Stockholm Central Train Station, and the staff were excellent. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful! The hotel exceeded my expectations.”

“Within walking distance of the Metro & Gamla Stan. Had a view of Stockholm waterways and looked towards the Tivoli. Beautifully presented room, however was onee of the smallest we had stayed in during our time in Denmark, Nowary & Sweden. Buffet breakfast was fabulous Staff were very accomodating & helpful”

“The hotel is located very near Central station which is a plus point for me as we are arriving and departing via rail to other parts of sweden. It is also within walking distance to the shopping area and old town. The room is ok...but the receptionist is great. They were very kind to allow us to check into one of the rooms early and even grant us a late checkout upon our request. It was really rare as many times, other hotel that I stayed in would just grant us either or make us wait till the check in time. The breakfast spread was great and the selection is super. I enjoyed my stay in stockholm and was grateful for the receptionist who recommended a traditional swedish restaurant that serves fabulous food.”

“Within a day, we became acquainted with key areas of Stockholm and realised how well positioned Hotel Sturplan is in the city. Positioned a block from a subway station and amidst shopping areas, lovely neighbourhoods, sidewalk cafes, and popular waterfront attractions, it's a surprisingly quiet and really comfortable stay. Staff were without exception very helpful, and the charming old features of the building contributed to the appeal of this accommodation. The breakfast is absolutely perfect -with smiley faces in our lattes, quality produce, hot eggs and meat, cold meats and cheeses, herring, breads, yogurts, and more. Our room was classically Scandinavian -light and airy with tall ceilings and large windows. The windows did not open, but the in-room climate control (AC) settings worked well on the warmer days of our stay. The room, bath, and common areas were clean and well-maintained. I would stay at Hotel Stureplan again in a heartbeat.”

“I was visiting Stockholm during winter time, the location of Generator hostel its great 10mins walk from the central station. Facilities of the hostel are great..Example:USB port almost can find all the common area which is good for charging phone or electronic gadget.. Its the best hostel I ever stayed so far.. Must visit them again.... Staff are nice.. I was late to check out and rush to packing my stuff.. left a bottle of the perfume in the room Staff help me to get it back..Really appreciate this little help.. which mean a lot to me.. Definitely recommend my friend whoever visiting Stockholm to stay here...”

“We couldn't be happier with our 1 night stay here. The staff was extremely accommodating when we arrived early from a long flight, so we got the room in the morning. This was the best thing that could happen to us, as we could have a nap in the best bed in the world, before heading out to see the city. Rooms are just excellent, there is absolutely nothing that wasn't good. Staff were so kind to us all the time. We decided that we will stay here always when we go to Stockholm, and looking forward to our next trip already. Thank you Radisson Strand!”

“My stay here on AUG 14-17, 2014 was really nice! I actually tried to book my brother to stay here the night we arrived in Stockholm but I made a mistake on the dates and he had to go to another hostel nearby which he commented was not really nice so I am glad to have gotten my dates right for my stay here at City Backpackers! hee! well, the start of my arrival in Stockholm was bad, our train from Malmö was delayed for 2hr 45 mins. so we arrived at 3am plus... grrr... and so coming to City Backpackers felt good for me... it's not far from Stockholm C station (3 streets away) and Megan was there to guide me to my room, bathroom and also kept the info concise and little for me cos I was really tired and I wanted to have a shower before bed. She is cool and allowed us to dump our big heavy luggages at the reception. :) City Backpackers felt really welcoming and like "Welcome home" honest. :) Maybe cos the people working there are so cool. I followed my brother to his hostel and it felt different. :p too bad for my brother... Awesome stuff about this place, it felt like a camp right here. haha.. with common imacs/movie room, common outdoor sitting area, kitchen with free pasta, free washing machine/dryer use, lots of lockers everywhere for you, wonderful place to mix around. Even hanging around the reception is relaxing. & a sauna too! I am here with my bro to do a quick 2 day tour of Stockholm and missed out on the interaction with the guests. Pity! I definitely will only stay here next time round in Stockholm!”

“the price/service ratio is excellent compared to most hotels in stockholm. this well located hotel has very good rooms with proper amenities. staff was most helpful from check-in to check-out. food was ok. could improve their breakfast buffet service logistic. business center very well equiped. will certainly book this hotel again while doing business in stockholm.”

“I have no objection regarding the location and type of rooms. Just opposite to the Stockholm central station, subway station just below the property, also close to shops/restaurants and other facilities. It has a decent breakfast. City center stockholm is generally very pricey and hotel room rates are high as well. Compared to that the rooms and the price are decent enough. However, I believe that the room rate we pay for the hotel includes all its facilities and services. The sauna, swimming pool and gym were under renovation and not accessible during my stay. Considering this, the hotel should either lower its room rate for the time being or make provisions for its guests to use such facilities in other locations. They haven't done so and hence I had to convert a 5-star review to an average 3-star review.”

“The only thing wrong with this hotel is its location sandwiched between a motorway and the railway. You can only arrive and leave by car, as far as we could see and there's a nasty-looking factory right next to it .. Otherwise hand on heart it's spotlessly clean, big good rooms, nice breakfast and sweet staff. We'd probably stay again if we had to visit Stockholm with our dog once more - staff were sweet and we could take her (Doberman tween) down to breakfast with no problems. Not the place to stay if you want to experience central Stockholm though as it's a long way out of town.”

I would recommend for anyone visiting Stockholm, who wanted to experience a quiet setting, expiencing a neighborhood feel, yet close to everything and easy access to the amazing public transport system Stockholm has to offer. “I booked a cheap room last minute and it was perfect for what I needed for a few days. Small basic room with a twin size bed and tv. Nothing fancy but I wasn't going for fancy. I would use them again.”

“We had a 4 night stay at Hotel Tegnerlunden which in Stockholm. The hotel was well priced for the being so close to the centre of the city and Sweden is generally an expensive country. We arrived at the central station and walked to the hotel, took around 10 minutes and was easy to find. We arrived several hours early hoping to leave our bags before going exploring. They already had our room ready, so we went straight up! The room was a fair size for two people with a tv, table and a sitting chair. The bathroom was a wet room, which I generally don't like, but this was the best wet room I've ever seen. There was a movable door on the shower which help to stop the water from going everywhere. The heating was good in the room, in fact, we found it to hot and had to turn it down to about half way. Breakfast was generally done well with a wide variety to choose from. We did find on the Saturday morning that it was rather busy but find on week days. We had little need to interact with the staff but when we did they were alway pleasant. The hotel was centrally located within Stockholm and we could walk to the city centre and 'old town' within 10 minutes. During our stay we didn't use an public transport as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We traveled as far as Skansen by foot, roughly 30 min walk. We booked this hotel through a discount in agoda but we centrally rebook if ever visiting Stockholm again. There was WIFI throughout the hotel which operates fast and we had no issue connecting multiple devices to it.”

“Lovely big rooms with excellent view (we were on the 11th floor). Hotel has free gym, sauna, wifi and breakfast. Conveniently located next door to a Metro station and bus depot, which made it easy to get to Central and to the Airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even let us check n very early so that we could freshen up and still get in a full day's sight-seeing. We will definitely stay there again when and if we are back in Stockholm.”

Limited interactions with staff but when we did speak with them they were very helpful. Small leak in bathroom (tho it's hard to believe no one noticed it before us).”

Tea and coffee making facilities were available near the room. A very good breakfast was provided to suit gluten, dairy and pork allergies. It was only a short walk down to the Viking ferry terminal”

“Memory hotel is nice and quite hotel, the staff is friendly and helpful, near the hotel you can find Kista market and there a lot of restaurants (Indian, Arab, Mexican, American and chins restaurants), I will not back to this hotel because the rate is too expensive and they need to provide coffee maker at the room”

“Very friendly reception guy , Located in Underground with lot of IKEA bunk beds , near to main attractions of Stockholm . Mixed bathrooms and Mixed bedrooms so prepare yourself to stay along with girls and boys . Has a kitchen where you can make coffee , Tea and cook something simple if you want (please, wash after use) Has tables outside rooms to sit and eat or discuss something . Has a small library & small 5 person sitting room in middle of hotel. Overall worth staying there.”

The single room is very small, fit only for one person and there isn't any window, so the ventilation isn't very good. But overall it's a great hostel with this price in Stockholm.”

“Brilliant location in Stockholm with it being around 20mins to/from the central station. There are another 2 TunnelBana/Metro stops not far away. Drottninggatan, one of the main streets is around 10mins walk away and from there you can get anything you want, and following the road leads you to the Parliament Building, the Royal Palace and into Old Town. If you go for the Breakfast package, it is served in a very nice bakery/coffee shop around 5mins walk away. The food they serve is a good way to kick start the day. The hotel room was great for 2 adults and 2 young children(3 and 6 years old). We had our own bathroom, and we had TV and Wi-Fi. Although the reception isn't manned all the time, the staff are only a phone call away and are really helpful.”

“Photoshopped photos on Google. Took forever to get the room after checking in. Shower only had hot water. No one at front desk to complain about shower, had to wait until morning. In the morning had a different staff that was more helpful and understanding. Have offered us another room but the show leaked water all over. Finally got a third room. The triple was tiny. The single bed seemed okay. The twin bed was tight and sagging in the middle. Since there is no window, the room is very stuffy! Would not recommend this place at all.”

“My partner and I stayed one night at the Rica Gamla Stan Hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Located right in the heart of the Rica Gamla Stan area, the hotel is close to many lovely eateries, shopping and sight-seeing locations. The room we stayed in was very quaint and cosy and full of charm. Highly recommended hotel”

“This hotel has good facility with good location and wide choice of breakfast.”

“The hotel itself is of a high standard but the room was quite poor. The room felt cheap. For a 4* hotel and this amount of money it was way overpriced....think 4* price and 2* quality and you're closer to the truth: old paint, damaged door, holes in the walls, tiny bathtub, fake marble finish, cracked tiles, etc, things you just don’t expect to find when you spend nearly $200 a night, even in Sweden. Equally there was no complimentary tea and coffee in the room, there was a soap dispenser and a shower gel dispenser, but none of the usual array of bathroom complimentary goods that you get in most 4* hotels. Again, it felt cheap. I asked for a double online and again at checkin and they gave me a twin with the beds pushed together. This is not a double bed, and it's just annoying to share. The lighting was poor - difficult to work at night. The floor lamp had no bulb in it (but still plugged in - whoops!) None of the ice machines were accessible or working, but the people at the bar were very helpful here, however, the bar closed at 1am, so no ice after then. There was no fridge in the room and no safe. On the plus side the breakfast was good, staff were nice and the facilities (gym/pool/sauna) were of a high standard. Pool is very small though”
