Sunny Stone Hotel II
"We booked for two types of rooms and one of them is smoking room. We don't have any choice but had our one night in a smoking room bcoz of availability. Everything is basic. The room is a little bigger than any other boutique hotels in Japan. Breakfast is also a typical Japanese breakfast. Location is definitely a huge factor why we booked this hotel. Btw, this is our second time to stay in Sunny Stone Hotel."Show more

Sunny Stone Hotel
"Location of hotel is convenient as it is only 1-2 minutes away from esaka station. It was in a quiet neighborhood. They served japanese and continental style buffet breakfast, though it was the same type of food they served daily during my 4 days of stay there. Room was small but it was just enough if you're a solo traveler. It had its own bathroom as well as well as other basic amenities. All in all it was a good hotel. I would definitely recommend it if you're working on a tight budget but wanted a room and bathroom of your own instead of room sharing or those capsule like beds."Show more

Hotel Claiton Esaka
"Great place, great staff and nicely located near the train station. Like most places in Japan room size is small. Depending on where you want to visit in Osaka it is about 30 minutes from main city. Food is close by. Would recommend it if you don't plan on going in and out of the main city much. Otherwise I would have preferred closer to the main city."Show more

"The room was bigger than in the photos, very clean very nice, the staff was really nice (do have some basic knowledge of the japanese language before coming as some staff do not speak english). Overall was very peaceful, beds were comfortable. Right outside there is a trains station, supermarket, seven eleven, starbucks and a doghnut shop and a beautiful park!! "Show more

Kishibe Station Hotel
"We stayed here in Osaka as part of a two-part booking as I accidentally booked one night too little for this hotel.
The hotel is highly recommended though, the deluxe room was an absolute delight and the breakfast was also delicious. You have to book the breakfast the night before, but it is worth it. We had the Western Set every morning although there is an enticing Japanese set on offer.
The hotel is 170 yen and about 15 minutes by train from Osaka station, which is in the North of the town, and then you have to change to either the JR lines or metro lines to go to the main sights of Osaka. On the same line the other way is Kyoto (540 yen and between half an hour and an hour away depending on whether you change to a rapid train or not)
The trains do add up though, so watch out for that. Plus trains in Japan all stop at between 11 and 12 so if you want to go out on the town be prepared for an all nighter.
The hotel was very clean and our room was lovely. I spoke mostly in Japanese to the staff, but they didn't give the impression that English was their strong point. They were all incredibly friendly though and did offer some English when my Japanese failed me.
All in all, good stay."Show more

HOTEL Campanio
"The location of the hotel was ideal for us as our son lives only a 15 minute walk away. It is centrally located for the train network and there are plenty of convenience stores, restaurants etc on your doorstep. Although in the centre of town, the hotel is situated on a quiet road so there is little noise at night. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, modern and bright. Our room was ideal and we had a small balcony overlooking the children’s play park. There is a restaurant on site which serves lunch and dinner - unfortunately we never got around to trying it out. Checking in and out was very easy too. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation."Show more

Shin-Osaka Esaka Tokyu REI Hotel
"Best part of the hotel was the extremely close proximity to Esaka Station, which is along the Midosuji Line (where Umeda & Namba station are). Nice food joints around the hotel too.
Room was a little tiny for a couple even though I got the Double Deluxe, after opening my luggage there was literally no space to walk, but that’s quite common for hotels in Japan. Other than that, the room was really clean. Didn’t really use the facilities so can’t comment. Overall, a decent hotel for the price."Show more
