Quest Hotel Tagaytay
Tagaytay City Proper,Tagaytay - View on map
"I had an amazing experience with Quest Hotel. Although, I did have some trouble booking because my flight to Manila arrived at midnight and I wouldn’t arrive in Tagaytay until 2ish - 3ish AM. If you do arrive at an ungodly time - book a day in advance and just email the front desk ahead of time of when you will be expecting to be there. The location of the hotel is kind of like a hidden gem and as it was newly built not a lot of local people knew about it. My family who picked me up got lost and we were honestly driving around in circles trying to look for it. I pulled out my phone and it showed that it was behind the Fora Rotunda. The location on Google now says it’s behind Fora Mall and Ayala Mall, which is extremely helpful. There is a security guard at night. Just the location of where Quest Hotel is so so so convenient. I loved being close to both malls. Fora Mall was still having some stores being built so going to Ayala Mall specifically Waltermart was my go-to. I loved the fact that you could walk in the back and bam - you’re at Fora Mall. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They made my first solo trip to the Philippines amazing. My room was clean and every day they leave new glass cups and water. I had WiFi so I was happy. My only regret was not having the checkout time longer. Also, I feel extremely guilty that I didn’t leave a tip as my family rushed me out of the room so I could make it to my flight. I’ll definitely be back to Quest for my next trip to the Philippines and my only expectation is to have the same experience as my first. Also, did I mention that staff was as accommodating and kind!?!? I need more vacation time and to go back. "

"I booked a FAMILY room for 4 pax. It says FAMILY on the agoda reservation. When we checked in, they gave us their Cellar Premiere room. Room was ok, however, it's located below the pool and we have to take 2 stairs down, the room has NO view. "

The Lake Hotel Tagaytay
Tagaytay City Proper,Tagaytay - View on map
"Deluxe View Room was amazing, you'll fall inlove with the view. Staff were very courteous and professional, felt like a 4 or 5 star hotel. The sound of the piano playing all throughout the day added to the feeling of exclusivity and class. Food on the breakfast buffet was a bit weird though, who serves tuna sisig during breakfast? Needless to say, again, the view from the breakfast lounge saved that weird food combination. Overall, I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know who'll be looking for a good hotel in Tagaytay (with the killer view of Taal). Hopeful to stay again in the future."

"Need an overnight accomodation for a quick getaway and was really glad that the place was available. Booked this around 2am for the afternoon stay. Ms Annie Ong assisted us very well. Different unit was provided and it is very much bigger than what we have expected. Will surely book this again when we are staying for the night."

Hotel Monticello
Tagaytay City Proper,Tagaytay - View on map
"First off, they are very friendly. The welcome drinks will already tell you that you made the right choice booking this hotel. The ambiance is simple yet elegant. The heated pool is the best. I mean– how many hotels in Tagaytay have heated pools??? The hotel is not crowded. It’s really great for relaxation. Food. Their breakfast buffet is awesome. Read some reviews here that it’s not that great but, I tell you, I loved it. I’ve been to Bag of Beans several times but somehow I like their bfast in Hotel Monticello. Maybe because even though the choices are limited compared to the ones from Bag of Beans, their food is really delish. My favorites are their champorado, tapa, longganisa (garlicy not sweet) and their OMELETTE... And the croissants too! I added yogurt, blueberry and wallnuts to my croissant. Yummy! Like I said, We’re definitely going back!"

Taal Vista Hotel
Tagaytay City Proper,Tagaytay - View on map
"2days stay, friendly staffs, checking in is a breeze at 11pm and Upgraded my room as per staff suggestion and i liked it. Room was airy and spacious, Clean and Cozy. Bathroom was Clean too and well designed. Heaters working well, proper towels placed and amenities are great. Buffet Breakfast is a must from this Hotel, great food well seasoned everything hot and available very very good I should repeat that haha. The view is spectacular for the new ashes look of the taal crater. Food was available for 24hrs superb! Came in late travel from work and food is easy to order. Complete complementary sandals and robes, fresh fragrances of soaps and bath works. Stayed in a lot of properties and hotels in tagaytay but this Hotel really served good food so that would make me come back for a peaceful stay, parking is great so much space was there. Juices are fresh too one thing i look forward to hotels I stay. I merely have nothing bad to say except that the air-conditioning in our room is a little outdated and weak for its large capacity, was worried that in the summer the air conditioning will not ventilate the room well to become cold. Wishing also for this beautiful hotel to have carpets in their beautiful spacious rooms, it was quiet i havent heard any noise so we slept good. Oh well our stay was excellent I even sent that feedback when i left the feedback paper, hope they maintain this excellence over the years. Teach your employees also to introduce themselves so we can commend them next stay. PS. Feb. 14-16 stay tell the Chef we love his food a lot ☺️👌🏻 good job chef. A good chef in a hotel is a good attraction to customers. After all, we gotta eat! Thanks Taal Vista! ~ Jermin B. "

Royale Parc Hotel Tagaytay
Tagaytay City Proper,Tagaytay - View on map
"I had originally booked another hotel overlooking the lake, however once I heard about the Royale Parc, and the fact it is a brand new hotel, I cancelled the other and booked at the Royale Parc. Pros: Great location. Brand new hotel with with comfortable, clean and modern rooms. Great central location with easy access to everything in Tagaytay. Nice pool. Cons: The hotel is still under construction, so was a little noisy at times. The buffet breakfast was very minimal and not very good. The staff are hit and miss with attentiveness. It is fairly expensive for Tagaytay."

Traveler impressions of Tagaytay

More about Tagaytay

Perched in the highlands immediately outside of Manila, Tagaytay is prized for its comfortable year-round climate. The terrain quickly changes from grasslands to hills and mountains, finally giving way to the key attraction, Taal Volcano. Many see the main sites on a daytrip from Manila, though it's possible to book accommodation in Tagaytay and give these outdoor attractions the time they deserve.

Taal Volcano, actually an island in the center of the lake, is visible from the city center. It's one of the Philippines' most active volcanoes and is a complex and fascinating site. Visitors can join boat tours of the lake or even ride to the summit on horseback.

Several smaller attractions are in the area, including historic churches and monasteries, shrines, and memorials celebrating Filipinos who have played a role in local history. In the central district, small gift shops and open-air marketplaces are widespread, and most are within walking distance of the main hotels near Tagaytay.

Getting to Tagaytay is easy, which is why the city can be so busy on the weekends when visitors from metro Manila pour in along the south super-highway. It takes less than two hours to drive here, with buses and rental cars available to tourists.
